We know who won a night in the LEGO House!
Posted by Huw,
Recently we briefly mentioned a competition that AirBnB was running to win a night in the LEGO House in Billund.
Brickset member Lego_42, aka Susan, read it, discussed it with her kids and entered. Today she found out that she won!
Susan contacted us to say "I just wanted to say thank you for your article, Random news, posted on 4 Nov 2017. At the end of it there was one line - Win a night in the LEGO House, courtesy of AirBnb. Well, the kids came up with a great idea, I sent it in and.... we won! On Thursday the four of us are off to Denmark and I'm so excited I can't think straight!"
I asked for more information about their winning idea: "We’re a family of 4 and I’m the AFOL who reads Brickset. My kids are Heather, 7, and Izzy who is 4 but will wake up on the Saturday in the LEGO House on her 5th birthday.
"On a long car journey recently I asked them what would they build and this is what they came up with: Heather wants to be an astronaut, Izzy wants to run a noodle shop called Squishy Noodles (honestly, she has it all worked out in her head).
"However they can’t imagine not being together and Izzy is worried that there’s no food in space, so what’s Heather going to do? With an unlimited number of bricks they would build a life sized Squishy Noodle takeaway attached to the International Space Station.
"Now all the astronauts can stop for a bowl of noodles when they’re out for a space walk.
"It was all their own ideas, I just wrote it down and sent it in, and now, here we are, off to The LEGO House this week!"

Congratulations Susan! I am certain that you, Heather and Izzy will have a fantastic time and what could be better than Izzy having her 5th birthday in the LEGO House!

A life sized Squishy Noodle takeaway attached to the International Space Station, how can I invest?
That is, like, the best idea I've heard in a LONG time. I'll invest too.
Congratulations Susan and family! :-D
Gotta MOC that someday ;)
Absolute fantastic! Congratulations Susan, Heather and Izzy! Your idea is awesome and a worthy winner. I hope you have a brilliant time (of course you will) and what an amazing experience for Izzy's birthday.
What a terrific idea! Sounds like a new LEGO Ideas set is in order!
Congratulations Susan and family - you will have such a wonderful time!
Takeout Squishy Noodles in space for the win! Those girls sound like a lot a fun. Have a great time as a family at the Lego House!
Well done and enjoy your trip Susan. Wonderful creative kids.
I'm looking forward to those Squishy Noodles. While in a astronaut suit.
I'm glad someone from this site won!
Also noodles in space would be really fun (or annoying) to eat!
Congratulations to the whole family! What a great idea! I can't wait to see Jamie Berard making that Squishy Noodles/Space Station thing come to life! Susan, if you read this, would you please share pictures of your build when you come back? Huw, would you please follow up on this, if possible? And happy birthday to Izzy! :)
^ We hope to -- Susan has agreed to write up her experience.
Congrats and have a wonderful time!!
Well done to Susan and family. I'm sure you will have a great time and what a birthday present for izzy. Even better that a Bricksetter won.
That's put a big ol' smile on my face!
Congratulations!
I'm not surprised that you won with Squishy Noodles on the ISS. It's pretty awesome. :)
Who wouldn't love space noodles?
Congratulations Susan & family!
Congratulations Susan and family. I look forward to reading all about it. What a great prize and idea.
Thank you all so much for your kind words and birthday wishes, makes me happy to be an AFOL. I can take no credit for the original idea, I only sent it in, although I have a great love for Classic Space. I promise a write up and some photos when we get back. In the meantime anyone wishing to invest in Squishy Noodles In Space can send their cash directly to me.......
Congratulations, and Happy Birthday to the bairn.

What a wonderful proposal by two little girls! Very excited for the family as they face an adventure in the new Lego House. Way to go!
