For some reason I love this set and still don't have it.

By in United States,

This is one of my grail sets. I finally got one in mint condition late last year. Love the simple but effective design.

By in Australia,

I miss the actual 4 stud wide vehicles (not the 4 stud plus wheel arches we have now). They were super easy to park!

I loved this vehicle from back in the day! As zipper said above, I never got around to getting this one but I wish I had. I remember seeing it in several catalogs and wanting it, but never got around to getting it. I love the classic town look of it and that front brush part! This was my golden age of Lego, and will always hold a near and dear spot in my heart.

Say what you want but the early-mid nineties were my favorite era of Town sets.

By in South Africa,

This was my first set! The one that started it all. I remember my dad having to build it as I could not follow the instructions yet, but I built my first MOC using its pieces the next day.

I'm with Zipper, I don't know why but I love this little set...but I did actually come across this and purchased a couple of years ago

By in Australia,

I remember my cousins had this set.

I never wanted this one, because I had the Street Sweeper that came out in '91, so I never needed to pick this one. There were three of these all up, all very similar designs.

By in Poland,

IMHO 6645 set is definitely more interesting and I still have it in MISB condition. :-)

By in United Kingdom,

That brings back memories, can still remember exactly where I bought this set and have a clear picture of it in my head.
Weird though as I thought I was a lot younger than I would have been in 1995.

My first set was 7242, so I just love sweepers in general.

By in Turkey,

It's hard to believe that "Juniorization" period came after these sets.

By in Australia,

Yeah, 6645 was the Street Sweeper that cleaned my Lego city streets. They're just nice and interesting looking vehicles, really.

I remember getting this as a kid. I even have two. Such a cool looking (play)set from back in the day.

One of my first sets also! I hope to find it someday in my grandparents house, where it's supposed to be now :D

By in Slovenia,

I owe 750+ sets and this is one of less then 10 I never parted out. True classic.

When I was young I remember saving up the change I found to buy this set...but by the time I did it had left stores. I miss you street sweeper! Here's to hoping there's a new iteration of you sometime soon.

For some reason I always wanted this. I guess that scrubber element was so unique.

I've got 6645 from 1991, though I only got it recently - the look of this little set really brings back some nostalgic feels!

I remember getting this 4 times as a birthday present from 4 different people, was a funnily bizarre moment xD
It has quite a few uncommon pieces in it, unfortunately some very specialised. I always wondered why they changed the connector type of the front 'Shield Box' in comparison to the one in 6645 (the only set that contained the original version) - they even kept the same design ID!

@ObijuanDunnobi: Well, in this case it's not as though wheel arches would make this set any wider… it's already 5 or 6 studs wide by virtue of the brush in the front and the equipment clipped to the sides. The one in https://brickset.com/sets/60132-1/Service-Station is around the same width, just longer.

It's kind of a wonder that the same street sweeper brush pieces are still in use so many years later! Especially when most IRL street sweepers I'm used to seeing have scrubbers that rotate on a vertical axis rather than a horizontal axis.
