By in Australia,

I love the modular sweet shop. So the Ninjago kids have new dragons (that seem very similar to Lloyd's dragon mech from the Ninjago movie), the Friends girls are all going go-carting, Batman's fighting Brother Eye and the Court of Owls (is that Batwoman I see? Sweet) and everyone in Lego gets to ride on that wicked-looking pirate roller coaster.

Well, who needs to buy food or clothes anyway?

By in Norway,

That roller coaster is amazing!

Gravatar
By in France,

Wow this roller coaster set!!! Wonder how many I will get :)

Surprised to still see some more batman sets...

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

The pirate roller coaster is indeed nice :)

By in United States,

I really like the roller coaster, cruiser, and even the little sweet shop! The Creator line is becoming the new City. Like City, but with more than just trucks. :-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Roller coaster looks really good. Shame there's not even a hand-cranked lift mechanism though.

I'm surprised to see quite so many Friends sets themed around go-karting. Maybe the marketing target is expecting people to just buy one set at a favoured price-point. You'd have to be particularly dedicated to want the whole lot. Certainly the Tuning Shop looks like dead weight. I don't really see the appeal of playing 'dress up' with car parts..?

By in United States,

Roller Coaster looks great. It's a bit hard to see, but do the cars make up a shark, "swimming" through the under water scenes?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Roller coaster set is a 10 all day long, maybe a ghost train ride next lego..

The friends ones are fine but not the best sub theme, i do like the new scooter element included in Andrea's store (shown on heartlake timesblog earlier today) i hope they make it in 2 more colours though,

Erm and as for the Dc comics ones... Not the best from batman, Would of preferred a set from Arrow, the flash or A dc legends of tomorrow set, Rip hunters ship would do nicely..

I also like the yacht although he dolphin cruiser was awesome from 2014 this is still cute.

By in United States,

It's interesting that LEGO chose to use the old brick balloons as opposed to the new part from Collectible Minifigures in the Rollercoaster.

Gravatar
By in United States,

lots of cool stuff, but i think the Friends racing ones are my favorites!

Gravatar
By in South Africa,

Some very good sets in there. Will be scooping a good few of these.

By in United States,

The Sweet Surprises is several steps up from recent Creator buildings. But it’s the Friends sets that again steal all my attention.

I’m digging the launchers for the cars. So simple and they should function well enough. My kids are going to go nuts with those. 2 of 3’s birthday is in August so she usually gets the Summer wave of sets, but these sets have 1 of 3 written all over them. I don’t know if this FriendsDad can wait until November though to play with these!

The Drifting Diner looks really well done with every expected detail of a drive-up diner included. I live the wicked cool gray hairpiece on the waitress.

I’m glad to see Zobo making another appearance in a set (Service & Care Truck).

By in Australia,

I can see myself buying three of those roller coasters, but that's probably what everyone else is thinking too. I love the grungy look of the Ninjago sets- I'm really excited about the dragon pit.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look great! Will I have to be waiting until August to get them?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I read somewhere that there is also going to be a roller coaster track extension pack so we will be able to make our roller coasters bigger. Muck like the train track packs we already have. Also, the roller coaster set is a 3-in-1 with extra configurations, which is great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

the creator expert roller coaster looks phenomal, but equally huge and expensive

Gravatar
By in United States,

The $350-$400 roller coaster set will have a hand crank, it will be revealed on the 26th officially. This Creator set is just too small for one.

I love the boat, but everything else is an 'ehh' I don't need it. I need to cut back on my LEGO spending. But I'm thrilled Friends is getting, yet another, awesome / different subtheme. Just proves girls are better than boys. Boys just keep wanting Police, Fire, Arctic, and girls want adventures. :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

All of these sets look fun!

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's going to be an expensive summer (don't tell my wife)! All of the new Creator sets are must haves for me, except for maybe the Mobile Stunt Show (it's nice, just not sure there's a place/need for it in my city). The Modular Sweet Surprises will become a sweet actual modular building, once I add a back to it. Cruising Adventures is one of the best LEGO boats I've ever seen and Pirate Roller Coaster! Come On! Pirates, check, roller coaster, check, fun and must have, you bet! I'm also really digging Drifting Diner (my daughter doesn't know it yet but she's going to need that for her birthday) and the go-cart theme is super cool. Awesome wave of sets, well done LEGO, bankruptcy and building here I come!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

So. Many. Great. Sets.
(Thanks for the news!)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Is it me or is that a Lego power function box in the rear side of the ninjago war rig ?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Ouch.... and I hoped to go after a number of other sets over the summer...

I am collecting the Ninjago dragons, and these seem to be other almost must-haves. So more competition for my wallet: Jurassic World, Creator Expert sets, Ninjago....

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Friends racing theme reminds me of Wreck-It Ralph. All of the Creator sets look awesome to me...all could easily be incorporated into a Lego town, which is not usually the case.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I've built a pretty good coaster myself with the track from around four Joker Manor sets. It's hard to design the geometry in three dimensions, particularly with 12-radius curves but 8 or 16-long straights.
The big drops are exactly four times the height of the small drops but it'll be interesting to see if there's an in-between extension part for the long drop to make for a bigger ascent. The biggest problem is lack of descent in the curves, so you have to keep inserting drops where you'd rather have a spiral or zig-zag. And straight after the ascent you have to have a small drop immediately in-line to start things moving (unless the train is long enough for the lift chain to push the back of it round a bend so the front reaches a drop).

The Pirate Roller Coaster is a must-have for me. I'm building a boardwalk amusement park in my city and have--so far--been using the Friends Amusement Park subtheme from two years ago. The best of that batch was the Space Ride followed by the Bumper Cars/Top Spin. I got the roller coaster from that series mainly for the Ferris Wheel, which was the right scale (and--since I got it second-hand--the right price) for my city but was also very weird-looking: the gondolas were oddly-shaped and the wheel had no perimeter, just radials. That's okay though because I'm going to mod it to my tastes. :-) THIS roller coaster--on the other hand--is just gorgeous! I hope it fits in the space I have available. I plan on using some Series 8 Mixels as park characters or statues or something.

I like the minifigures in Cruising Adventures. It's always good to have minifigs in bathing suits for my beach, but I could pass on it. I already have too many fishing boats.

If the Modular Sweet Surprises is hinged like the other modular buildings of that scale, I might get it. Otherwise, I don't like buildings that are open in the back. It is pretty sweet (though that gumball machine is *way* off-scale).

I totally agree with the comment made above by lentil: Creator is the new City.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

For the first time, Creator is MORE girly than Friends
My daughters HATED the Friends sets and loved the roller coaster and shop,

Friends, R.I.P.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I'm personally glad the Friends sets have more of a focus on action rather than on pampering and beauty but I'm surprised this entire wave seems to be so dedicated to Go-Karting. If Go-karting doesn't appeal then the whole wave won't appeal.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Man, they've really gone 'all in' on the Friends Go-Karting theme haven't they. I assume they've done their reseaerch and there's a big enough want for it (would have thought a broader sports theme with maybe one go-kart set would have made more sense?).

Creator sets are also becoming what City should be. Looking good.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Dragon Pit and the two Batman sets are Prime! Roller Coaster isn't half bad either.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Oh sweet, summer release news. hopefully also something about a new Creater Expert vehicle.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What a gold mine! Is that Batwoman in the Brother Eye set?

War Rig looks inspired by Mad Max, love it.

Friends, which I'm not remotely the demographic for, continues to blow me away - excellent design and execution.

The Creator sets will be hard to stay away from too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I like the boat. I also think its cool how they used those angular bricks to create the design on the side. Might get the modular sweet surprises for a coffee shop MOC I'm working on

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

The Ninjago WaRig (what a name for a toy) is super MadMaxesque! Sort of Death Race wibes going on over here. As someone stated above: it is kind of grunge. Only thing missing is a guitar/(Boring)flamethrower player on top of it. And gore. Lots and lots of gore.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Honestly, my most favorite sets are the Ninjago ones. All the sets look really interesting and I find the bad guys to be particular so. The creator is probably my second favorite, with nice designs and all. I might have to get this entire wave of Ninjago sets.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'll definitely get the sweet shop. I actually like the hamburger stand too but wish the friends sets had regular minifigs instead of those goofy elongated ones.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just made a video on this and forgot the throne room images!!! But I will decently get the destiny wing!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

As stated by Kostur above, when I saw 70654 War Rig all I thought was...somebody saw Mad Max. That's not a bad thing.

The pirate rollercoaster is so meta I love it!

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

The Friends Drifting Dinner looks great to complete a MOC I am making and the Ninjago sets have a Mad Max feeling to them. A City (truck with race car) set looks like a similar Friend set.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The Boat reminds me of the 4011 Cabin Cruiser.
I'm not into Ninja Go sets, but the war rig is very nice.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

- Sweet shop looks OK, but is missing the "wow" factor
- Boat looks cool for what it's supposed to be
- I'm still waiting for the EXTREME roller coaster :)
- I don't like the Friends racing sets, but I do like that burger place (and the cool hair piece with that new minidoll!)
- Ninjago is a big clash of colors and parts, but I'm looking forward to the War Rig
- Batman sets look (very unfortunately) garbage

Overall, I'm still really excited about all the recolors and new parts that will debut in this wave.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Wait, can someone clarify...is the Pirate Roller coaster different than the Expert Fairground subtheme? Are we getting an additional roller coaster/set for that line this year? And will the track expansion pack someone mentioned go with the pirate one or the expert one? Thanks!

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Ninjago sets look great. I especially like the War Rig and Dragon pit. The Destiny's Wing is quite small.
My wallet is going to kill me this summer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

OMAC, Batgirl and Ace the Bathound?!?! SOLD!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Eh. The only thing that interests me is the sweet shop but I don't think it is substantial enough. I hope the expert line brings something better.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh my goodness, this will be an expensive summer. The Friends sets look terrific and I love the racing theme. The roller coaster is a no brainer and I like the sweet shop. I wonder if the yacht will be one of those terrific sets like the Camper was a couple years ago.....looks like it could have potential.

Gravatar
By in Italy,

Pirate minifig + cannon...
is it a new batch of production?
more pirate sets are coming?
hope so!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Creator Expert coaster looks amazing, and will blow people away. Large ascent and descent, and just generally huge.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Whoever turned out this summer's Ninjago deserves a round of applause. It's been a while since I've seen a wave of sets (from ANY theme) that made me want all of them.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Plus it's a beautiful wooden coaster design, can't wait until next week when we see better pictures of the true coaster.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why did we need these weird new bat-parts again?
They just seem like a more useless attempt at recreating the other Super Heroes blast pieces but with Batman, and it's just dumb.
The roller coaster seems a bit sparse, but that might change with more pics.

On a more positive note, the rest looks pretty great! The Friends line goes in a new and unexpected direction, wonder what those new helmets will look like up close. The Ninjago stuff is rad! I can't wait to see more. The villains are interesting.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I need all of those dragons XD

In all seriousness, these new Ninjago sets look really good as do the new villains.
I also think the pirate roller coaster is a must buy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These new Ninjago sets look amazing! I'd wager that it's the best line of non-Movie related Ninjago sets: I hope to get all of 'em, albeit some at a lower price.

I also love that Creator Pirate Roller Coaster, I've always wanted a Lego roller coaster and now we're getting two this year. I'd love to build a Lego amusement park: I guess I'd better get the Ferris Wheel before it retires this year (most likely). Cruising Adventures looks pretty nice too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The Pirate Coaster is nice but nowhere to put it, have to say the Ninjago War Rig appeals to me most out of those.....funny really know nothing much about the Ninjago story etc but the line has had some of my favourite sets for awhile now, guess that style appeals to me with all the Mechs etc

Gravatar
By in United States,

The war rig seems to have disappeared from amazon.fr

The rollercoaster looks really impressive.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@kinggregus what do you mean? We've gotten Batman sets just about every year in DC Super Heroes since the theme started, these aren't more LEGO Batman Movie sets, just regular DC.

LOVE the new Ninjago Dragons. After the Stone Army wave my Ninjago collection hasn't been as strong, but these might change that (assuming Harry Potter doesn't take all my money first!)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I am really looking forward to getting the Batman sets and finally completing the Bat Family with Ace the Bathound (FINALLY!!!) and Batwoman (a big pleasant surprise).

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@BrickLunch: There are also going to be a handful of non go-karting sets in the summer, the same as there were non winter sports sets last summer. Brickset just doesn't have pictures of a lot of those yet. Off the top of my head, there's an accessory shop for Andrea, bedroom sets for Emma and Andrea to round out the series, a big beach resort with a small elevated train, and a set of big brick-built role play accessories corresponding to each main character's interests.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

As many people think, the roller coaster is amazing. However, as someone says, it lacks and ascending mechanism. But take into account, you can créate other 2 scenes...with the rails?? Looking forward to know the other possibilities!!

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

What about set 31078? On the internet can be found under the name Tree House Treasures, some small pictures are on Google Images. It looks great, as well as my favourite new sets 31077 or 31083.
