LEGO Movie cast assembled for airline safety video
Posted by Huw,Airline safety videos are usually very boring and even those where a bit of effort has been made (e.g. this one) get weary after multiple viewings.
That's not the case with the new Turkish Airlines one, though, which features the animated cast of The LEGO Movie. You'll want to watch it to the end, again and again!
Thanks to lluisgb for the tip-off.

That...doesn't sound great without Pratt and Banks doing the voices.
You had an option to link the legendary Middle Earth saftey video from New Zeland and didnt, I expected more from you Brickset!
This is pretty great. I love that their using characters from all three films (despite supposedly being in the same universe you don't see that much cross over between them) and it's as self aware as the movies were. Despite what the title of this article suggests, I don't think the entire cast returned for this, a few of the voices sounded off. No matter what, I really hope this makes it onto the special features of TLM2.
It's a party in the sky with dictatorship airlines.... quite catchy.
I've not seen that one! By all means provide a link so we can all enjoy it.
Now if only we could get a Turkish Airlines promo set...
Damn Turkish Airlines! I hope they don't go full Zack Snyder with this

awesome! the animation style is beautiful as always.
So LEGO winds down its cross-promotions with Shell due to environmental concerns (or PR), but they stick with an actual factual airline (one tied to the Turkish government, no less!)? Whatever floats their boat, I guess.
the voices sounded weird but I liked it!
I couldn't get over so e of the voices sounding off. Batman was about the only one that sounded right!
I'm just curious if they built a proper front for that giant airplane model.
The middle earth safety videos from New Zealand have nothing to do with Lego, probably why they weren't linked.
Great, now I really need a 'Friends are Family' N-POP Girl. Way to go, Turkish Airlines. Growl.

Can't believe I'm watching one of these while not on a plane...
They have to make the pink spacegirl baby
:-)
Nice very catchy
Lovely, I love it except the Turkish gvt part.
This. Is. Amazing!!
This is one of the rare times I'm proud of being Turkish. If only my government didn't make it impossible for me to fly anywhere by tanking the economy.
@MataNui2009 I assume that the crossover is not just there for fun. It's probably easier to use readily available models instead of creating new ones. For instance, the flight attendant seems to a bit off compared to the other characters (or it's just me seeing it that way after watching the video in two languages so many times).
And I hope they release some kind of an exclusive set with it.
So many awesome characters in so short a time! Only one word.
AWESOME!
Just like everything.
Everything is awesome in Turkey...I guess ??
...did I just voluntarily watch an airline safety video?
@ELH2806 I'm sure glad there's at least ONE Ralph the Movie Maker fan here : )
2:23 Wonder Woman didn't take off her printed "high heels". Also it really ticks me off to see Vitruvius with an inattainable blue recolor of the classic dolphin. Reallly annoyed how also in the Batman movie CMF 2 swimming Batman comes with a Friends dolphin when in the movie there were classic system gray dolphins. Then they put a friends dolphin in fun at the beach. Why? It looks so off as it is in the cutesy friends style rather than the traditional minifig style.
@Norikins - not quite sure if you're serious? The dolphin is clearly a lighter blue than the blue bird beside it, and has a grippable dorsal fin (kids - don't grab real dolphins, mm'kay?) like the one in the Batman minifig bag. And the 'Fun at the Beach' set has the same dolphin, and it's not the Friends one. There are actually two different modern dolphin moulds; it's not just the eye print that differs; the nose shape does too.
As for Wonder Woman, her boots may be printed on, but I don't see any heels...
I'm more disturbed by the revelation that UniKitty's horn comes off!
Is it fake? Ceremonial? Or is it a seasonal growth thing? Will it grow back? We need to know...
Now if only actual airlines were as open and roomy as that video.
Also a lifevest on a crashing airplane is a bit of a joke.
An unexpected promotional partnership, but a very fun video.
Great. Never watched an airline safety video so many times in quick succession. Quite a coup!
I actually really love all the different new and engaging videos airlines are putting out now! This one is very cute although I do still love Air NZ’s and Qantas’s (though not Lego).
