See you in Skaerbaek?
Posted by MeganL,This coming weekend is the annual Skaerbaek Fan Weekend, where hundreds of AFOLs descend on the small town of Skaerbaek. This year the weekend starts early on Thursday, when AFOLs are allowed run of the LEGO House in Billund.
Not coincidentally, Thursday morning the Fairy Bricks cycling team will be finishing their seven day ride at the LEGO House. The journey from London has included all kinds of weather, including hail!
I’m on my way to Skaerbaek and will be among the crowds waiting for Huw, Ed, James, and Ralph on the streets of Billund on Thursday. Rumour has it that a very special guest will also be there to greet the team!
Huw and I will be at both days of SFW this weekend as well as at the LEGO House on Thursday, so please stop and say hi. We love meeting Bricksetters. Don’t hesitate to tell us what you like about the site, what you don’t, and what changes you would like.
See you there!

I come again this year, see you then!!
I'll be at Skaerbaek on the Saturday, looking forward to meeting people!
Looking forward to seeing you again Megan.
I am present with a Imperial Armada lay-out of 1 by 1 meter. The first time I am present at Skaerbaek.
YES! <3
PS: The 'hundreds' are ~1000 participants from all over the world!
Not this year, sadly. But honestly, the last time I went (2016) the event was... too big. Too much stuff to see, too much stuff to do, too many people. My suggestion then was to extend the event to last 3-4 days - this way I felt I was missing out.
I'd love to go, but I can't make it.
A link to the event website in the article would be useful. I was going to look how long it was after Sammael's comment, because I think it is over several days now...
Some people arrive early but formally, setup starts on Friday and is done throughout the day and night, and the main event is Saturday and Sunday in Skaerbaek with some Billund-related activities happening on Monday.

I’ll be going on Saturday - can’t wait! And Sunday I’m going to Legoland, so it’ll be a weekend full of Legos :)
I had been thinking about going to Lego House today, but I couldn’t figure out if it was ‘just’ for people staying in Skærbæk, or if ‘regular’ fans could join as well.
