I cant wait for the Ninjago Sets! I already have some overwatch sets preorderd too (I live in the US) Merry Christmas everyone :)
If they are all out of stock tomorrow, don’t blame me.
Even if I do buy them all.
Can't add 70831 Emmet's Dream House/Rescue Rocket! to my basket without getting error! The other new sets can be added to my basket (in the UK) without issue?
Anyone else having the same problem?
Most of the TLM2 sets are still listed as "coming soon", and available on December 26. So maybe midnight?
Thanks for the heads-up, Cap'n! Come to me, Lenny, you living legend.
@Sean - I had a few problems on mobile trying to add sets (VOID.ERROR or something similar). It varied which set was a problem, but I closed the session, followed the link from here again and it eventually worked. Hang in there!
I'm between jobs, at the moment, so I'm going to hold off buying any new sets until the second half of next year (I realised, this year, that sets -- particularly City sets, which are the ones I buy -- stick around for so long, that you don't have to buy them straight away. They'll still be on shelves this time in 2019. And they tend to get cheaper if you wait a few months).
Except Benny's Space Squad. That is going to be hard to find, and I am prepared to push people out of the way to get my hands on one of those.
I wonder why Benny doesn’t have his mechanical arm in this set...
Some of these prices are a bit nuts... You’d think I’d be used to it by now. I’m not.
^ It's weird, isn't it? We accept that the licensed brands cost more because Lego has to pay to use the license, so SW, the comic book and, I guess, the Overwatch sets are gonna be a little pricier.
But I remember how ludicrously over-priced the Unikitty sets were, and will Lego be pulling the same deal with the Lego Movie sets? They already own all those characters. It's just so strange.
Still no official word on the Lego Movie 2 Collectible Minifigure Series? I was hoping these would launch simultaneously with the rest of the sets . . . anyone know when they will be out?
I've seen leaked pictures so I know they exist. Seems odd they haven't even been announced yet.
The space pack is definitely a buy for tomorrow, here in the US. Hopefully they don't sell out by the time I buy it. :P
i might buy all of my allowance can hold lol :P
@Zordboy:
Any characters that were created specifically for TLM/TLM2 are either co-owned or fully owned by Warner Bros. Characters that were pulled into the movies are still owned by whoever holds their IP.
Thanks Brickset!
Classic Space fan here. I planned to buy 70841 when it became available, on december26. So tomorrow.
I was able to purchase copies before midnight, from lego (23h55) and ToysRUs websites (23h29 !).
It's a pity you can't order more than 2 of the Benny's Space Squad at a time online. I hope there's no limits in-store.
I wonder why they aren’t waiting to release these until January 1st?
The advantage of having a young child is when they shout for their bottle at 2am you can then order a couple of pink classic spaceman.
I wonder how much that huge Apocalypseburg set is gonna be.....
Why are the sets released before the movie?
Just ordered 2 sets of Benny's space squad. Limited to 2 per household.
Bit confused, as I bought my Benny's Space Squad last Saturday. Most of the other TLM2 sets were on offer, too.
That being said, for 10 euro Benny's Space Squad offers excellent value for money, with 4 minifigs and a printed classic space wedge.
Whatever I try to click on the Lego.com website gives me 'Page not found'. Nice going again, TLG.
Already "out of stock" on the Australian LEGO.com page
In the UK the website keeps crashing. It took me about 30mins just to order 6 things. There are some good prices on the seasonal BrickHeadz though!
Couldn't resist ordering a Space Squad set online (along with an army of Gingerbread men). Real shame no red spaceman is included.
The limit is 2 from benny's pack, however ordered. Anyway, the rest LM2 sets will be ordered from retailers much cheaper :)
It’s definitely a good thing that they have those limits, unless you want scalpers to buy up all the stock immediately and then charge what they want on the after-market.
I want them to have red and green variants of Benny eventually - maybe for next Christmas? :)
Ordered my 2 Benny’s Space Squad on Lego and pre-ordered 4 more on Amazon - limit of 30 (per order).
I need some thoughts, should I open one, keep it sealed, or buy 2 with one opened and one sealed?
I found a place with 12 as the limit, all in stock. ;)
PS also Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!
@LukeSkywalker. You could always put his head on the classic green spacemen from the Exo Suit (21109) - I think the only set with green.
Im gonna buy two on friday and a lego friends set aswell..
Edit for above, actually that place has limit 100. ;)
Oh I'll add at least Emmet house to my list, thanks for this.
I have no interest whatsoever in any of the Lego films. However, as a fan of Lego Space from years ago, I did buy a Benny's SPACESHIP!! SPACESHIP!! SPACESHIP!! set since it was so reminiscent of the old Space sets. I think I may well buy this Space Squad set too. I don't recall there ever being a pink spaceman minifigure in any of the Classic Space sets though. And it's a shame that the modern space helmets are not the exact same piece from 40 years ago, but what can you do?
Emmett’s Dream House reminds me of 5899-1, House Building Set, which was my first Lego set. It does seem worth the $69.99, but I’ll most likely wait for Amazon to put it on sale...
Most stores released these sets last week in Sweden too... Have almost all of them already. 4 Benny Space Squad included xD haha
Benny's Space Squad already on backorder. Geez, LEGO.com doesn't cease to amaze. They must've stocked a quantity of 10 or so as usual. Hopefully they'll still be some leftover @ Legoland when I go.
The only one that I've been waiting for, and only one I'll buy from TLM2 probably has finally arrived home. Benny's Space Squad for sure!!! What a wonderful set, brings so many good memories to me. Makes me wanna thank a thousand times to TLG! Excuse me while I order some blue bricks and some very very very light grey!
Glad of the limits, otherwise more people would miss out.
I hope how well Benny’s Space Squad sells will be a good indicator to TLG of how well a rejuvenated Classic Space line would sell, fueled mostly on nostalgia.
Also why is that movie maker set $79.99 in Australia? That is ridiculous pricing.
I know some of you may have a Barnes and Noble nearby where you may live, especially for you US peeps like me. I saw quite a bunch of the Lego Movie 2 sets there, they normally get new sets in fast. Just a fyi.
Just went ahead and ordered 2 Space Squads on backorder. Seems stores around here haven’t stocked any of the series yet.
Well, Space Squad proved as popular as many here (myself) suggested it to be. Of the TLM2 sets, it's the only one sold out.
Ordered a few of the sets that were on sale, especially that Garmadon Shark set I had missed out on until now, plus of course one of Benny's squad. Will certainly get more at a later date, but for quenching the first thurst, one will suffice ;-)
Some Lego Movie 2 sets are available now in Austria too! I saw 70841 yesterday & bought it. :D I´´´´´´´´´´ am very happy with the space squat minifigs!
After ordering 2 from Lego.com went to smyths and got 3 more
Picked up 70841 today, love it and an instant burst of nostalgia with some of the pieces.
Got the Thricycle through Amazon today. Interesting little build and fun vehicle
Will get Benny’s Space Squad through Barnes and Noble store pickup next week
Got 2 of 70841 from lego today. So much joy in a small cheap box. It's not just nostalgia either. My (nearly) 3 year old just wanted to play with them forever. I think a limited classic space revival series would sell like hot cakes.
