Back when they were up-front about parts packs...
I love the big white spot on the box art.
Adds to the overall appeal.
No Zuckuss minifig AGAIN?!
no tan?
Ooo boy is that random
When Lego was about building and not about collecting licensed minifigs or absurd set...
^ THIS.
Good pieces.
I loved this set. It helped me understand turning mechanisms, at least with Lego.
See this is really just the stereotypical boy version of a clikits pack.
“We’ll give the girls flowers, and the boys car parts, that’ll work!”
My frustration level with the technic approach to steering back then was 11.
Try creating a front wheel design with:
- fully-independent-suspension
- steering
- FWD / 4WD support
when those turntables are all you have to work with for steering.
When 8858 harvester came out, it at least had a more compact steering design, though it supported neither power nor independent suspension.
