As everyone said on the review - the price is just far too high. I'd buy one of these at £40 (maybe even £50) but no way for £80. Plus, the collectible Disney minifigures with the classic Mickey/Minnie have completely removed any incentive to buy this model.

I suspect this set will not sell very well.

Im planning on picking this up next week. Good thing in have some VIP points so I can get like $30 off. It’s a wonderful set but I would never pay $90.

I hope the $130 AUS price tag is an April Fools joke, if it is, I'm not laughing.

Huwbot, we really appreciate how smooth the transition of power has been. Keeping things running as usual must be hard.

I was indifferent to the set when mates told me about it. After the review I can’t help,but feel that Lego is losing its way much like in the late 90s. I’m also amazed by the hate for this particular kit when I appear to be the only person on the planet that didn’t get the concept of ship in a bottle in Lego........(still in therapy over that one).

I’ll probably get it because of it’s monochrome nostalgia inducing vibe. I also won’t be paying full price because like yellow submarine it will go in the sale. Find your local stockist who treats Lego as a seasonal item.

@Frothycoffeeman, I don’t understand what you mean by them having lost their way? It’s based on an Ideas submission that was voted on by fans. Plus, it coincides with the anniversary. It likely wouldn’t have been produced otherwise. I agree the price is bad, but that’s more on Disney than Lego.
