Nostalgia just hit me like a brick... I remember getting this on my first day of elementary school (for some reason).

Good old Extreme Island. I think this is one of the few sets that I never did pick up ... off to Bricklink!

Now that’s actually kinda a cool set. A remake of this set and others like it would be welcome.

Chasing down the Brickster in Lego Island 2 (which probably won't work on 10, besides my disk is in pretty bad shape) took several hours of my childhood. LEGO really should consider reissuing the old LEGO Software/Lego Media titles, updating them to work with modern PCs.

I loved this line because it finally brought these beloved characters to life! I still have a Windows XP computer and a PlayStation 2 just for this era of LEGO games... good times!

LEGO Island will always define a lot of what LEGO means to me... in particular, pizza-centrism!

I didn't own this particular set, instead the set I got for the Brickster was 6735-1 Air Chase, with the Brickster and Snap. I got Sky with Pepper in 6738-1 Skateboard Challenge. As with most themes I never managed to get the big set, 6740-1 Xtreme Tower, and so I regrettably lack a Brickster henchman and the Infomaniac.

Although I've never played the game itself (I only have LEGO Island 2), the Island Xtreme Stunts theme has a special place in my heart and in fact I have my sets set up in my LEGO town, with all the minifigs being residents. I don't call it LEGO Island, though. It's just not the same without the Infomaniac. (I know I can BrickLink him, but I'd much rather own the whole set.)

Da@@ you Huwbot, I now have one of these, just bought it on ebay to add to the 5 sets of Power Miners a previous Random Set inspired me to look for. Stop showing me stuff I was not aware of and didn't have any of that theme, but is reasonably priced on Ebay.... I have enough trouble NOT buying the new sets, never mind the old ones............ Thankyou really.

These minifig faces look like somekind of Chinese fake lego set.

Some products can be accurately dated by brick usage, building techniques or minifig faces. This one can be dated by one look at the presentation.

XTREME!

Island Xtreme Stunts was pretty great for an early 2000’s theme with decent construction.

Is this the first theme to spin off and feature characters from a video game? (Lego Island, Pepper, Infomaniac, Brickster).

@chrisaw: The original Alpha Team was the first such theme. The video game came out in 2000 and the original wave of sets in 2001.

I got this one and 6736 Beach Lookout last year in a random tub of used LEGO sets. I haven't gone around to verifying they're 100% complete yet. Once I've done that, I'll likely give them to my brother who is into wake boarding.
