Random set of the day: Wolfpack Tower
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 6075 Wolfpack Tower, released in 1992. It's one of 9 Castle sets produced that year. It contains 236 pieces and 4 minifigs, and its retail price was US$29.75.
It's owned by 3101 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

Excellent. Most triumphant.
Hey, at least this one has a name... I can say that for it.
Hey those knights are twins!! Actually they were triplets but we don’t talk about the third one...
The one issue I had, with this style of castle, is there's no living space. There's an upstairs prison cell and downstairs dungeon (that seems to be waterlogged), but that only leaves a look-out tower and that tiny room above the bridge.
Yes, that's the kind of thing that bothered me, as a kid.
I would love for these style of sets to come back, lots of long walls and have an adequate space for minifigures on and outside the walls!
Beautiful Playset. Has everything you need for a rainy day in -and the alternate models are just as good.
Loved Wolfpack as a kid and still do. I remember trying to build this with my own pieces trying to copy it from the image in the catalog.
Great set of a small faction of Castle. I am glad that I have this set.
I got this from a friend a few years back. Sadly, it was missing the minifigures. I got some new minifigures, but it's just not the same.
I sure miss Castle. I guess its been replaced by Harry Potter?
Beginning of the burps. I wanted this set so badly as a kid but didn't get it. So I rebricked it (this word did not exist back then) with regular bricks on a green baseplate. Eventually I bought it in the 2000s to complete my castle collection
I went on a bit of a wolfpack ebay binge when I returned to lego as an Afol. Ended up with two of these after bidding on a couple of lots at the same time... one was boxed though so happy to win both!
Excellent set for a very versatile faction. I was eyeing that set when I was a child but pocket money wasn't enough. At least I got their treasure cart.
Also, bring back the alternative models photos!!!
This is one of my favorites sets to play when I was a little girl. I got this one on Christmas of 1992 I guess... My brother got the Black Dragons Castle. years of playing as the bad bandit Princess against him.
LEGO, we need a new Castle theme! With many factions, like the Wolfpack!
Hold up, look in the bottom right corner.
WHY DO THEY NOT HAVE LEGS?!
@MCLegoboy: probably quicksand ;-)
But indeed, looks a bit gruesome.
Really an awesome concept and icon of the era. If it were around today it wouldn't be so ridiculously undersized, but it would probably cost $199.99 and included 3000 parts.
Wolfpack!! I loved Wolfpack as a kid, at least as much as Forestmen but possibly my favorite faction. Unfortunately this set was out of my price range at the time, only had the renegades set. I got this on ebay some years back (gotta fulfill those childhood dreams). It's a fantastic concept: an old abandoned crumbling castle tower that's sinking into a lake, that the Wolfpack took over as their secret headquarters. It looks dark and foreboding, and there are some neat details like opening into the back tower being built as the shape of a wolf head. It's got the Wolfpack flag, one of the old printed castle wall pieces (love those), and a ghost! The so-call BURP pieces have never bothered me, and I think they're used well here. Obviously I love this set!
^ I'd buy a $200 UCS Wolfpack Tower!
That awkward moment when you forget to put your legs on in the morning...
This was my biggest set when I was younger. My babysitter took my brother and I to a toy store one day and I absolutely begged her for this set. She made me promise multiple times that I would really play with it and enjoy it. I probably took that thing apart and rebuilt it dozens of times. I was so proud of it.
I wish I could tell her that it still has a prominent place in my collection today. I hope she'd consider it a worthwhile investment.
Lol, reminds me of Monty Python and the Black Knight scene. "'Tis only a flesh wound," "I just cut your bloody leg off!" "I've had worse." "Liar!" Ah, great stuff :D
Wolfpack always seemed to me to be the war worn Forestmen who were driven out of their hiding places deep in the woods, to then become a more militarized and organized faction... I'm thinking way to deeply on this and should just go back to work then huh?... Alrighty then.
one of the tops sets ever .. I loved everything about the Wolfpack!
@captcrouton: I don't think so — Castle and Harry Potter have never had any trouble coexisting before. And anyway, from LEGO's perspective, Nexo Knights was the latest incarnation of LEGO Castle, in order to give the more traditional stuff a little bit of a break.
In general, the Castle theme has been refreshed on a 3–4 year cycle:
• 2000 — Knights' Kingdom I
• 2004 — Knights' Kingdom II
• 2007 — "Fantasy Era" Castle
• 2010 — Kingdoms
• 2013 — Castle
• 2016 — Nexo Knights
If LEGO continues with this pattern, I think it's probably reasonable to expect new Castle sets sometime next year. In fact, I suspect they might have launched new Castle sets THIS year if it hadn't been for concerns that they'd get drowned out by the huge marketing push for LEGO Movie 2.
@Rimefang: I'm sure you're joking, but honestly I imagine a set like this today would cost somewhere from $50 to $70. I imagine you could compare a modernized take on Wolfpack Tower with sets of the past decade that have a general "tall building with bridge/stair/raised walkway" structure like 4867-1 , 70147-1 , 41075-1 , 70749-1 , 41176-1 , 70594-1 , or 75953-1 .
The first set I ever bought. I still have it, and would LOVE to see Wolfpack make a return.
Never had this, but I do appreciate those "Drawbridge Tower" sets.
I had the 1995 Royal Drawbridge, and LEGO has used similar designs after that as well.
2006 had Gargoyle Bridge
2009 had Drawbridge Defense
I saved my pocket money for this one. I was saving for some time and then, in the summer of 1993...
Amazing set. About 20 years later I bought also the wagon.
Great set. I do not have it, but I bought the minifigures in Bricklink!! I have other sets from the Wolfpack!!
@ MCLegoboy: Given the baseplate also seems to get cut off, looks like there's a ridge of sand they're hiding behind
In some countries this was called "Wolves Hunters" Ghost Prison.
lol they think they can lock up a ghost won't it just go through the walls
In Brazil they were called "Homens Lobo" (Wolf Men).
