Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 8825 Night Chopper, released in 1990. It's one of 7 Technic sets produced that year. It contains 116 pieces.
It's owned by 2019 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

Lol I remember when this was released marveling at how modern and sleek it looked...
Now let’s break down how this set isn’t in the slightest bit random.
Oh wait it is. Whoops there goes my conspiracy theory. Bummer.
Uh oh, the Night Chopper can turn into the Night Flier. We're lucky the vampire pilot wasn't included or we'd have all been goners.
Oh Wow, it’s so Modern and so Sleek! Hey Lego, I would buy this!
Every day which is not a Clikits RSOTD, is a good day.
Got this in a recent huge Technic haul!
@MCLegoboy- I think that was a Stephen King reference? I read that story.
very serial killer name there guys. perhaps it would be better if we spruced it up with some clikits
I'd buy this set if I were around 7-8 years old. It's a good starter set. Well, at least it was when I was a kid.
Another 2in1 Technic set with a similar box art and from the 90s. I think this era of Technic is Huwbot's favorite thing after Clikits!
@Brickalili I have a song for this killer:
Chopping in the night, chopping in the day
Chopping every time
There are Clikets in the hay!(or bay, I don't know;))
Yay! One set I have!
I remember it fondly and even built the motorised version of the chopper using the technic motor set it was available back then. And yes, still working! ;-) Alas, no technic figure in that set :(
Strangely enough, I never built the aeroplane... Off we goooo!!!
So, statistically, our beloved bot loves Clickits, and old Technic or space sets.
Remember this one well. One of the last sets I got as a kid prior to entering my dark ages.
hm one of my earliest technic sets if not the first.
One of the sets I did have, and a Technic Figure fits in perfectly (in the helicopter)
Still standing on my shelf :) and it looks great!
Hope the pilot of that aeroplane has good seatbelts.
I'm just imagining this scene on the helipad.
"Need to get there quick. Let's take the chopper."
"No wait, the sun rose. Go get the day chopper."
'It's required that you suit up in armor and bring a sword, shield and lance when operating this chopper.'
Too bad TLG never made knight gear to outfit the technics figures.
@Chrisfury: Oops, make that 2020 lol.
Enjoyed this set as a kid - was one of my few technic ones. Not outstanding but definitely captured my imagination.
