Never in my born days have I seen a stegosaurus with wings. ;-)
Not that I’ve seen a regular stegosaurus in my born days either though...
Maybe it's a Para-Stegosaurus?
"I am a stegosaurus!"
That's only funny when it's NOT a stegosaurus my robotic friend. Although it is still funny looking.
Hmmm... needs work.
Nice shoes
Honestly, LEGO has never been able to get small scale brick-built dinosaurs right--even when in the late 1990s when they had dedicated head and tail pieces. They always looked strange. As much as I hate large, limited-use pieces, the new, current dedicated dinosaurs look much, much better.
But, as with a lot of Creator polybags, it's a parts goldmine!
Erm, I think he might have fell from a cliff and landed on his back and broke some of the fins)
With just a few changes this might have been a good Dimetrodon though...
I think palaeontologists might beg to differ with that...
In 2008 we still had all those square parts? No curved slopes yet? It is not so far but looks like prehistory of Lego
I think it's cute. :)
Well.
That's certainly ... something.
I am more disturbed by its eyes...
@Brick’t
The first curved slopes appeared in 2004, and there weren’t many.
Mr Thrawn Yes. But nowadays we are so used to them in so many sets and ways or designs that it seems that they appeared much more sooner than 2004. So when I see such a set I have to say that curved parts brought a lot to Lego designs. Imagine what one could do for the same idea today? And don't misunderstand me : it ain't any basic criticism to the work of the designer, I know that I couldn't have done better (not even match) it, but the simple expression of a surprise to me to see this dinosaur designed in 2008 with no curves at all when we see them everywhere today. And my mind is now so used to them that I thought they had come sooner.
I got this set from Toys R Us weeks before they closed in the UK, they had a box of them at my local store which I'm assuming they found in the back room.
