What should the next Ultimate Collector Series set be?

Posted by ,

LEGO has produced numerous superb Ultimate Collector Series sets, although further potential subjects remain. We therefore invited readers to submit their suggestions recently.

Almost three hundreds comments were posted and we have compiled the fifteen most popular suggestions in preparation for this poll, encompassing prospective Ultimate Collector Series and Master Builder Series sets. Furthermore, the same poll will be published on Rebelscum shortly, providing results that can be compared between the readers of LEGO and Star Wars fan websites. Cast your vote after the break...

What should the next Ultimate Collector Series set be?

Theed Palace
Jedi Temple
Geonosian Arena
LAAT/i Republic Gunship
Venator-class Star Destroyer
Providence-class Dreadnought Invisible Hand
Mos Eisley Cantina
Base One (Yavin IV)
Imperial AT-AT Walker
Nebulon-B Escort Frigate
Jabba's Palace
Jabba's Sail Barge
Mon Calamari Cruiser Home One
RZ-1 A-wing Interceptor
T-70 X-wing Starfighter

We also received suggestions relating to redesigned versions of existing models, most notably including the Death Star II and Darth Vader's TIE Advanced. However, we have chosen to focus upon entirely new subjects on this occasion.

Which prospective set did you vote for? Let us know in the comments.

Gravatar
By in United States,

AT-AT already!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

For me it came down to the Republic Gunship or the AT-AT. AT-AT won. ;)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I voted AT-AT. It's just the next most iconic SW vehicle!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I continue to hope for an eventual UCS ARC-170, but from this particular list my vote goes to the LAAT/i.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I voted for the AT-AT (it was hard deciding between it and the A-Wing), but I just had to go with it. I personally feel we're long overdue a large-scale UCS AT-AT and would absolutely love to see one released. So many of these I would still love to see as UCS sets though!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have to go for the AT-AT.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

the major question is Are we gonna get something new or will Lego keep re-making old ones.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I was looking for “somewhat affordable”....

On a more serious note I really want is an Imperial Shuttle (ie a re-release of 10212), where like the MF and Slave 1 the UCS size is a great size for that particular ship.

Of the never been made before the AT-AT is a must for me.

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

1: Mos Eisley Cantina (aka. Calmuns Cantina) or,
2: Mon Calamari Cruiser (Home One)
...or both :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

AT-AT is impossible as a set (at minifig scale). Ask Jhae or cavegod who’ve built Mocs. Rather have new imperial shuttle with better interior.

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Where is Luke's landspeeder?

Gravatar
By in United States,

So many of these have been done already. A UCS AT-AT would be incredible but we have quite a few of them already. A Home One would be awesome and has never been done (except the small interior playset with the A-wing) but would be rather bland as a UCS set. Jabba's palace and Mos Eisley have many pieces already and would end up like the UCS Hoth set. My choice is easily the Nebulon B freighter.

Gravatar
By in United States,

AT-AT is a poor choice. As a set, it's had plenty of appearances. How about something that's never appeared as a set?

Gravatar
By in United States,

I voted for Theed. If done right, it could really be amazing. In fact, I would probably save up and buy it, if such a set were ever released (which seems unlikely), making it my second UCS set (Slave I was the first).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hands down geonosian arena and Jedi temple

Gravatar
By in United States,

Republic Gunship, for Clone Wars, an actual new UCS, and something not from the Original Trilogy

Gravatar
By in United States,

As much as I'd love to see a UCS AT-AT, a designer told me all the AT-AT models have the same problem: push it just little from either side and it tips over. Don't get me wrong, the designers love the AT-AT, but they hate to allow the instability on the UCS scale. It wouldn't be up to their standards especially for the price we'd pay for a set of that size.

I'm hoping for an A-Wing or Nebulon B to add to my collection.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I voted for Geonosian Arena as the idea has come up many times on Lego Star Wars fan sites. It would make a great MBS playset as it's not so big it couldn't really been done justice too (i.e. Jedi temple), but it does cover a major part of the movie and could come with a great cast of characters and jedi. The prequel trilogy could really do with some UCS love.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

AT-AT
I know we’ve had many in the past, and I own a few,
but none have ever had the UCS treatment for a really detailed result.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'd really like to see a minifig scale Jabba's Sail Barge in the 2500-3000 parts range.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

No Cloud City on the list?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@Duq - Luke's Landspeeder was referenced in several comments but the options displayed above were more popular. I could have provided more alternatives in the poll but wished to avoid including too many options.

Other possibilies which were mentioned include the Naboo N-1 Starfighter, the J-type 327 Nubian Royal Starship, the HAVw A6 Juggernaut, the Ghost, the Lars' Homestead, the TIE Bomber and the Ebon Hawk.

With regard to comments about an AT-AT, I have also spoken with set designers who have suggested that may not be possible using the pieces which are currently available. Even so, the demand for that UCS model has to be acknowledged here and the introduction of new parts could enable LEGO to produce an official UCS AT-AT in the future.

There were some suggestions which I found surprising, the most notable being the LAAT/i Republic Gunship. I love that vehicle and past LEGO versions have been superb. However, I struggle to imagine what an Ultimate Collector Series rendition may offer to surpass other models, especially since the earlier models are minifigure-scale and minifigure interaction seems important for that kind of vehicle.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This has got to be one of the easiest forms of market research for LEGO.

Vote would have totally gone for a land speeder. Would also love me an A-Wing.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

LAAT/i for me please and I grew up with the OT. But I think we had enough from the OT to collect so far and the PT has some amazing ships. (unlike the ST, that is. Anyone remember DJs ship or wants a UCS Snokes flagship? Anyone?)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

We need the Geonosian Arena but as a small/medium scale set

Gravatar
By in Canada,

A minifigure-scale AT-AT would be awesome, but knowing LEGO and their high standards for structure strength, I doubt we'd be able to get anything other than an AT-AT that can only stand with its four legs straight (which is arguably the most boring pose for the vehicle).

I want to take a break from all the LBG! Give me a UCS, minifigure scale Sail Barge with two skiffs and a Sarlacc pit!

Gravatar
By in Belgium,

Voted for the AT-AT, even though it is relatively unlikely given concerns of stability, but then again regular AT-AT sets are not that stable…

Could someone tell me what's so nice about the Jedi Temple? I'm not a prequels hater, far from it, but I don't really see what would be interesting at UCS/MBS scale… The council room could be a regular set, but then we'd need several new moulds for the members… Apart from that, all I can remember are the large empty halls with tall pilars, a couple of boring rooms, the archives (perhaps incomplete)… Enlighten me, please.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm really happy with Raskolnikov's AT-AT and if Lego produces a UCS one, it'd probably be like that.

I voted for the Nebulon-B. It's one of the more interesting and unique Rebel ships, the end of Empire is iconic, and it could probably be $400 based on Dranac's MOC, which I think is reasonable.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Definitely feel like I was the only one wanting a Theed Palace set

Gravatar
By in Germany,

This is a really strange list. Among all the choices there are in my opinion only two which actually have a chance of being produced as a UCS set in the near future: an A-Wing or Jabba's Sail Barge.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Home One would be a fabulous UCS set
if we could get the curves. The new curved parts required would lead the way for many more curved models.
Submarines, airplanes and other space ships along with brick built animals?

Gravatar
By in Switzerland,

At this point I'd just like to see a ucs ship that doesn't cost a fortune and doesn't require a separate apartment to display...

Gravatar
By in Sweden,

It is about time the UCS expores the prequel era instead of releasing new version of older OT-sets. Something like the Jedi temple or a chromed N1 Starfighter (yes, it would basically be re-release). Or maybe a jedi interceptor from episode III. LEGO has done nothing to celebrate the 20th annivery of episode I so something from the first episode should be welcomed

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

I think vehicles are more suitable for UCS, or vice versa. Let the palaces and various other places of importance be Expert Build or something.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It would be nice to see this poll split into two votes - one for UCS and one for MBS. As it stands, I prioritized UCS and placed my vote for the AT-AT. But if I had an MBS vote I would opt for either the Mos Eisley Cantina or Jabba's Palace - those both have great minifig potential.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

There were few more options (in copmments - https://brickset.com/article/45657/what-should-the-next-ultimate-collector-series-set-be) which were more popular than some of those in the poll. I am listing them here:

-Tie Bomber
-Republic Gunship
-Nubian
-Arc-170
-Control Droid Ship
-Endor
-Ghost

In therms of reedition the most popular beside Tie Advanced were (even more than Death Star II):

-Tie Interceptor
-At-ST

The best options for future UCS are:

-AT-AT
-A-Wing
-Nebulon
-Jabba's Sail Barge
-Luke landspeeder
-Tie Bomber

Personally i am not interested in prequel trilogy or in MBS. Much better ships and vechicles are in sequel trilogy and spin-offs.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I think it's time for a T-70 X-wing. I'd love to see those wings closing flush, with the curved ends up to the cannons.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would like to see more prequel or expanded universe set personally, like Rebels or Old Republic. I choose the Temple based on the choices available and with what I mentioned.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I voted Jabba’s palace, as the 2012 set is very nostalgic for me and I think the UCS version would look cool...think of all the space for new alien Minifigs and such! I was close to voting for the Geonosian Area, but I think that’d work better as a standard playset. Another set I considered choosing was the AT-AT, but I think that works better as a playset too.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I voted Theed Palace; I think that could look really nice in the style of the microscale Hogwarts, and it would definitely give some love to a location that's been very much overlooked in recent years.

However I saw the Ebon Hawk mentioned in the comments above, and that would totally have stolen my vote if it had been on the poll.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I still want to see a UCS Ghost.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The Nebulon B, just to see if they can engineer one.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm an OT fan (clears out six of the choices)
Rehashed UCS models can go = X-Wing (another gone)
Locations/buildings aren't great in UCS form (removes three more)
No vehicles that we've had in large formats previously = AT-AT (one eliminated)
Ships that haven't been done BUT would likely break the bank IF done right (crossed off three)

So, that just leaves the A-Wing!

*It has been longer than usual between AT-AT releases so that is likely to be the choice
(especially if it gets the same attention on Rebelscum).

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anything that is not a reissue/rehash. The last 5 UCS sets have all been remakes.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

A-wing, Mos Eisley Cantina, Pod Racer, Landspeeder or the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate for me. The AT-AT walker would be nice but I build the 75054 AT-AT and found the build pretty repetitive. I hope that if they do an AT-AT it will have a detailed interior as well. Would be quite a waste of space otherwise. The A-Wing, Cantina, Pod Racer, Landspeeder or Frigate would be new things as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It has to be a minifig scale A-wing.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Bummed the Ebon Hawk isn't listed here. There's lots of models I'd like to *see* as UCS sets, however it's the Ebon Hawk that I would actually rush out to buy. It's also the main ship of one of the most iconic Star Wars game series.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Jabbers palace or jedi temple, thats what i would choose.
I would want an AT-AT but its too big for a UCS :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

I gotta go with a Venator. We've only gotten one as a lego set, period, and that was a decade ago. Plus with the launch of Clone Wars Season 7, the timing would be great.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was really hoping the ARC-170 Fighter would make the list. It’s a popular vehicle, would have returned to the $200 price point, and could’ve been a welcome change from all of the OT sets.

But no use crying over spilled milk. My vote went to the LAAT Gunship, but I would also love to see a Mos Eisley Cantina set!!!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I see the Invisible Hand is doing quite badly in this poll. Voted for it because it is one of my favorite capital ship designs, and I'd welcome a set that represents it at any scale (though UCS would be preferable).

Gravatar
By in France,

Really surprised no Landspeeder. especially after its success on Ideas

Gravatar
By in United States,

An AT-AT would be amazing, don’t get me wrong, but there’s hardly any prequel UCE sets. UCS Venator would just be amazing!

Gravatar
By in Cameroon,

The Lars farm on Tatooine.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Tough choice. Many of them deserve to be made as UCS.

Gravatar
By in United States,

My vote was for the AT-AT. Still one of the most unique vehicles in Science Fiction! It blew me away when I first saw it as a 10 year old.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Sith infiltrator, imperial shuttle, jabbas sail barge or gungam submarine..

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

At At walker. Amazing that it’s not been given proper ucs treatment already. 5000 pieces at sub £500. Would fly off the shelves.

Gravatar
By in France,

a bunch of set that would cost an arm an a leg. I didn't remember what the theed palace was, and after checking, I think it would be cool. the A-wing could be a cheap UCS, though would they go below 200€ ? the Naboo starfighter could have been a good cheap one too, except it would probably be light grey instead of silver.

not convinced about all the capital ships, we've seen with the ISD, they would possibly be even more expensive, and not necessarily look particularly exciting.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

Naboo Cruiser

Gravatar
By in United States,

The Geonosian Arena hasn't been done yet, offer great play features, detail features, collectable incentives and could be done at multiple scales. It deserves to be done sooner than later, and a UCS-sizes set would give a chance to be done right.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Mbs: jabba’s palace. Id love to see one where they include the rancor pit. Another boushh, max rebo and ree-yees please! UCS: All terrain armoured transport would be on the top of my list!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Would love a Jedi Temple and a Geonosian arena set.

Not a fan of all the OT stuff considering it's pretty much all we get. Where is the love for the prequels, which arguably, in my opinion, is the better trilogy.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Not on the list, but how about a Rebel GR-75 Medium Transport? Always been fascinated with them and they have a fair amount of screen time. Also seen some great MOC's with all the cargo modules etc. Plus make it a rusty beaten up one, to limit the greyness.

Edit: Wasn't aware of the original article requesting ideas until now, hence the "not on the list" suggestion.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

AT-AT for sure. At such an impressive scale that an UCS snowspeeder can fly between its legs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

AT-AT. But I gotta tell you, from the bottom of my soul...it was extremely hard to choose one from that list.

@embo_thego@t:
I agree that the ARC would be great, and I was thinking of it as I made my choice. I was also thinking what might be able to be done well/updated from the Prequels without going full UCS? The ARC may fall into that category. There is a chance a new one that isn’t UCS could still be really good. If LEGO decided not to design it on the cheapy side.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I voted AT-AT as well. Yes I agree that stability is the main issue but I’m sure LEGO could design some sort of UCS style stand to make it work.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Right now the at-at is in first place , last in my opinion, but one question: DONT THE PEOPLE THAT VOTED FOR IT HAVE ENOUGH UCS BIG HUNKS OF GREY LEGO BRICKS FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD !!!!
I am actually surprised that there’s not been a contest on lego ideas yet about doing a Star Wars moc with only grey lego pieces!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I prefer minifigure-scale-ish sets or large destroyers/cruisers/corvettes over supersized starfighters (unless it's an ARC-170, LEGO please take notes). So from this list Geonosian Arena and Mon Calamari Cruiser Home One are my favorites, but my vote went for Home One.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

We wouldn’t get chunks of grey or black if we had any of most prequel ships or vehicles as UCS - justsaying. I read the UCS discussion piece in the recent Harry Potter edition of Blocks magazine and I noted Chris W’s clamour for pretty much any prequel UCS set. Some of us grew up with the prequel films and are now full working adults with some disposable income to set aside for UCS, and I won’t be very keen if it’s another TIE or X-Wing variant.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The AT-AT motorized, an AT-ACT for minifigures will also be welcoming.

Gravatar
By in United States,

What? Why isn't the TIE Bomber listed here? Or Luke's Landspeeder (one at the scale of the constraction figures)?

Voted for Geonosian Arena, although I expect that would fall under the MBS rather than UCS. I think it's well overdue under whatever series it's classified under.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I went with Nebulon-B simply by virtue of it having zero representation thus far. Come on, it’s a nifty design, give us a Lego version!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Rogue Shadow would be awesome.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Minifig scale AT-AT please!!! PLEASE!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

'Nother vote for A-Wing. Come on, let us finish our alphabet fighter collection already!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I really want to see a Mon Calamari MC80 (Home One from Return of the Jedi) or MC85 (Leia’s resistance cruiser from the last Jedi) the set would be sooooo good. Just imagine it.

Gravatar
By in France,

I think the episode 8 AT-AT I have is very fine already. sure, you could make a bigger, better one, but it would be like 300 or 400€ maybe, and I got mine for 100.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would like an minifig scale rebel fighter squadron with as much attention to movie details as possible.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The correct answer is Home One

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hope they do a malevolence, that would definitely suck away my money

Gravatar
By in United States,

For the Jedi temple, they could do apart of the library and the council chamber.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This should probably be two separate polls for UCS (ships & vehicles) and MBS (playsets & locations)...

That said, I ultimately had to choose Base One (Yavin IV). The set design could be similar to 71040 The Disney Castle, with the Massassi temple as the facade and a series of scenes/vignettes on the reverse side. Between Rogue One and A New Hope, there’s quite a lot to fill it with.

It was a tough choice between this, the Jedi Temple, and Geonosis Arena though. The most important thing to me is that none of them have been covered before...can’t say that about most of the other choices listed.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why is everyone pretending 10178 doesn't exist?

Gravatar
By in United States,

The J-type 327 Nubian Royal Starship (also known as the Naboo Royal Starship) would get my vote but it isn’t on the list.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I doubt LEGO could do a better job than the MOC's of the AT-AT (due to the number of limitations on sets) so no AT-AT for me. Also I prefer minifig scale sets like the Slave I or Lambda Shuttle so oversized sets like the A-wing are a no for me. One I would like to see is the Venator. But whatever new and unique is great for me. I just don't want a wasted rehash like another X-wing...

Gravatar
By in Germany,

New B-Wing!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I get the feeling that we would already have a UCS AT-AT if the designers felt it was possible to make it stable enough. I think the chances of anything appreciable bigger than the system scale releases to date are very low, unfortunately. I can't see a UCS Jedi Temple making it to the shelves either as there aren't enough easily recognisable areas within to make it worthwhile IMHO.

A-wing, Venator and TIE Bomber are the three obvious candidates to become never-before-seen official UCS sets.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Splitting up between Ultimate Collector Series and Master Builder Series sets, I think there are several realistic options that LEGO can choose from, and are probably already in different stages of design and production...

UCS:
- RZ-1 A-wing Interceptor (New model)
- Jabba's Sail Barge (New Model)
- AT-ST (improved remake of 10174 - Imperial AT-ST)
- Vader's TIE Advanced (improved remake of 10175 - Vader's TIE Advanced)
- Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (improved remake of 10212 - Imperial Shuttle)

MBS:
- Mos Eisley Cantina
- Jabba's Palace

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I voted for the AT-AT as well, I hope this finally sends Lego the message to get on with designing some new, nice, meaty joints.

It's incredible how lazy Lego is with walkers even in minifig scale. I mean AT-STs only have hip joints now. At least you could remove some plates in 2001 and 2007 to get some more articulation but now the legs are static technic lift arms with a single hip joint and nothing more, so you can't pose them in anything but a neutral "parked" pose. The introduction of more stronger joint pieces is very necessary to make walkers into toys again, not statues.
Same thing with the countless mechs in Ninjago and Super Heroes, we need some knees again. We had mechs with knees between 2006 and 2008, why not anymore?

I wish I could also have voted for a Venator + Lucrehulk, because those are the only static models I would want and the UCS line is in dire need of fresh blood which some Prequel ships could give us.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Jabba's Palace for me.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Definitely the A-Wing for me. I've liked them since seeing them for the first time in RotJ (little shout out to the B-Wing as well), but more importantly, this set doesn't have to cost a gazillion credits.

Might be interesting to see what solution they'll come up with for the canopy, too.

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

I'm a bigger fan of MBS than UCS. So:
Mos Eisley Cantina

Also:
Jabba's Palace
Base One (Yavin IV)

And not on the list:
Lars' Homestead

UCS
Mon Calamari Cruiser Home One
Nebulon-B Escort Frigate

Gravatar
By in Czech Republic,

Venator is cool, but too similar to the ISD to be produced right now. I want LAAT as regular set, so I can afford it :D
I think Nebulon B would be a challenge and could look incredible.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

i wanted invisible hand so i could put it with my episode 3 fight display. im currently using the malevelance to fill it in. ultimate space battle goes with it so well

Gravatar
By in France,

None of the above. I am only interested in a new Super Star Destroyer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

It should be... something... NEW.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Geonosian Arena

Gravatar
By in United States,

Venator me boys!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Just realised that you can click on the percents to see how many people voted for each.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm still waiting for the Death Star canteen, with Jeff Vader.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

All MandR supporters would have A-Wing CompleteTheFleet so that's where my vote went but my personal preference would be a UCS 501st army 1000000000 501st troopers with blasters

Gravatar
By in Australia,

A J Type 327 Naboo Royal Starship. A true test for the Lego designers. It's all about the curves.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

The AT-AT stability problem could be easily solved my including white terrain

Gravatar
By in United States,

Jedi Temple, c'mon! Even if it's not a UCS set it's something they need to do. A location based set in a size like 75251 Darth Vader's Castle.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I had to vote AT-AT, even if that's unlikely to ever happen. The Nebulon-B is a close second.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Star Wars Lego fans:
Ugh, the new Star Destroyer and Death Star are outrageously priced, no way can I afford that!

Also Star Wars Lego fans:
I want a minifigure-scale UCS AT-AT!

You only need to look at brick vault's minifigure-scale version to see that even if they managed to design one structurally sound enough for that size, it would cost £650 minimum- so if they did release it, all we'd do is moan anyway...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I don't get the fuss over the A-wing... it's a tiny ship in universe, so the playsets are more or less mini-figures scale anyway... I don't mind the oversized sets like the Tie Fighter or Snowspeeder though I suppose...

I'd rather have a remake of Vader's Tie Advanced- it's a more interesting ship design to me...

MBS wise, surely Jabba's Palace is the obvious option? I don't get the Jedi Palace appeal other than the council room- and that's never going to happen because the mini figures would be mad expensive for Lego to produce, and the build wouldn't actually be all too exciting...

Gravatar
By in United States,

“ You only need to look at brick vault's minifigure-scale version to see that even if they managed to design one structurally sound enough for that size, it would cost £650 minimum- so if they did release it, all we'd do is moan anyway.”

^^Yep. Careful what ya wish for...I feel like wishlists and comparisons to complex MOCs is just setting us up for massive disappointment. Haven’t we learned this from the ISD? Speculation is fun, of course...I’ll keep an open mind and buy it if I like it.

As for TLG looking to internet wishlists for future set ideas, does anyone have inside information regarding their selection process? Also, next years UCS sets are probably decided already, no?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

They should stick with Ep 4-6 models, esp if they are going to be as expensive as the Falcon/ISD, as us older generation are more into the original trilogy and have the $$ to drop on big Lego sets.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

AT-AT all the way. (Motorised too would be good)
Also completely agree with jas-harry on sticking to ep 4-6 sets. I tend not to purchase anything to do with the new movies.

Gravatar
By in United States,

TIE Bomber

Gravatar
By in Portugal,

I love the prequels as it was my introduction to Star Wars, and in general think they are good movies.

I would love to see more Lego set's of that era. With that said I voted for an AT-AT, just couldn't resist to that original magic.

Gravatar
By in United States,

THE ROCINANTE

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does it have to be Star Wars? I think Lego Star Wars has pretty much run its course and the IP is kind of insipid.

If I had to pick, it'd be a podrace scene, perhaps with some desert foliage, the two-headed announcers, and some other racers besides Anakin and Sebulba , maybe Gasgano or Dud Bolt.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

Yo creo que un Templo Jedi sería interesante en UCS. Con las minifiguras de los maestro Jedi mas importantes.

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

I think a Landspeeder would be nice, like how they did the snowspeeder

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yep I'm in agreement with @Altair1970. I just want a 10000 piece Super Star Destroyer!

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Maxximus
Nice pick! Maybe a scale Y Que to go with it.

How about:

Moya?
Farscape One?
Serenity?
USS Sulaco?
Gunstar One?
Mk2 SA-23E Mitchell-Hyundyne Starfury?
Earth Defense Directorate Thunderfighter?

There are many cool sci-fi ships from which to choose!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I've been waiting for an A-wing for so long

Gravatar

AT_AT!!! By far the coolest transport in all of Star Wars. It had better be the one from Empire; none of that deformed crap from Force Awakens! I'd be amazed if they could improve on 10178 (motorized walker), but I bet someone over there could be up to the challenge. This time, let's make the battery compartment a little more accessible, eh?

Not Really into UCS Star Wars (would like to see more DC/Batman...Hmmm; 'Daily Planet',...). That said though: how about a proper fig-scale AT-AT, and raise the stakes...
-How about it actually being 3-sets in one: Original AT-AT, a 'Rouge One' AT-CT, or AT-IC: All Terrain Ion Cannon ( sort of like the one Kenner almost produced ), all done through reconfiguring...
-An internalized 'winch' to allow Luke to speedily to zip-up to the 'belly'...an speaking thereof
-A section near said winch, with a Snowtrooper and a toilet...a tip of hat to 'Robot Chicken':)

I voted for Home One Mon Calamari.

But if I was in charge at LEGO I’d turn the table on it’s head and make Count Dooku’s Solar Sailer (Interstellar Sloop).
