Hmm, seems like this was at the height of specialized pieces...

By in United States,

^Several sets in the late 90s were sold in Shell stores in the USA. This is one of them.

I'd argue that time is now given how many unique molds Lego has compared to when this was released

By in United Kingdom,

In those days if a bulb blew you just had to climb up the floodlights with your spanner in one hand and no safety harness. Or ladder. At least he's got a hard hat on.

By in Turkey,

I used to play a lot with my soccer sets but today I can't even make my kid get interested in it. Smart phones are creating a whole new generation of kids...

Amazing parts for such as small set, Black ships rigging, grey lattice supports, and those trans yellow dome pieces

That repair dude looks like he might be in a serious danger.

By in Puerto Rico,

This needs a massive comeback, place this in the extra pack without a figure and trust me, this will be a hot seller.

By in Netherlands,

What that guy is doing looks very safe.

By in Italy,

The inventory of this set seems a bit off...

By in United States,

Wow, this set really lights up my world!

By in Germany,

@biffuz:
It's actually more the set's image being off, since it doesn't show us the included maintenance vehicle :)

Although given the looks of it that fact might be more in the set's favor...

The unique molds are less prevalent now than then, and the newer specialized parts are designed to be much more versatile.
