Which actor has the most minifigures?
Posted by CapnRex101,
More than 12,000 different minifigures have become available since 1978, sometimes taking inspiration from films, television series or video games.
These characters may usually be identified with particular actors. We have published three previous articles to ascertain which actors are represented by the broadest range of minifigures, although the leaderboard changes quite frequently. View the current lists, including minifigures from 2019 and 2020, after the break...
The factors which define a minifigure representation of an actor are as follows:
- The minifigure must take direct inspiration from a film, television series or video game*.
- Minifigures, characters, bigfigs, trophy figures and brick-built figures are taken into consideration.
- Motion-capture performances are taken into consideration.
- Voice performances are taken into consideration, albeit separately from the initial list.
- Multiple minifigures of the same character are not counted, unless they appear in different media.
- Acting credits are counted according to IMDB.
* For instance, the Nick Fury minifigure in 76004 Spider-Man: Spider-Cycle Chase does not count towards Samuel L. Jackson's total. However, the Nick Fury minifigure in 76042 SHIELD Helicarrier does.

These are probably my favorite articles. Warwick Davis still leading the pack, and will extend his lead when Griphook gets a minifig! And Weeteef Cyubee!
Isn’t there already a Griphook minifigure in the original Gringott’s set from Sorcerer’s Stone?
Mark hamill never voiced any of the joker minifigures?

I remember asking this same question when one of the previous articles came out. Neither of the goblins in 4714 are identified as Griphook.
Roger Craig Smith also voiced Sonic the Hedgehog from the Dimensions pack
I did not know that SpongeBob was so involved in Star Wars.
With regard to Warwick Davis playing Griphook, @fulcrumbop is absolutely correct that none of the Goblin minifigures released thus far are officially identified as Griphook. Also, Warwick Davis only provides Griphook's voice during The Philosopher's Stone, hence this would count towards his total in the voice acting category.
@Eutus - Mark Hamill voicing the Joker is a difficult issue as LEGO has not produced any Joker minifigures based explicitly upon Mark Hamill's performances. However, some are perhaps loosely inspired by Batman: The Animated Series.
You forgot Mark Hamill's epic performance as Von Nebula in Hero Factory!
Spoiler alert..............…...................Doesn’t emmet and Rex dangervest only count as 1?
Pathetic. Temuera Morrison has 200,000 minifigures with a million more well on the way.
Love this. But you forgot Jake Gyllenhaal who both played Dastan in Disney’s Prince of Persia (2010) and Mysterio/Quentin Beck in Marvel’s/Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

... and yet he's still angry about it.
Imma need a willow figure to continue to boost Warwick’s in person minifig count
If we're including brick built characters like the cast of Unikitty! then John Rhys-Davies should have two for the section counting voice acting. He played Gimli and voiced Treebeard.
Mark Hamill play the Joker and Kevin Conroe play Batman in the LEGO DC supervillain’s game.
R2-D2, Smaug? They are not minifigs
What about Frank Welker? He voiced at least Fred and Scooby-Doo, probably more.
Capn, I'm at a loss. You're including Duplo toys as minifigs? For example, you're including a Cars character as a "minifig". The crocodile I found only by searching the theme. Under the minifigs tab for set 10526, there is no croc.
LuvsLEGO_Cool_J: It’s because of LEGO. Every character should be considered as a minifigure no matter what. :)
Yeah I figured Dee Bradley Baker was going to win the voice acting category XD Hard to beat when you are literally every clone in Clone Wars!

Just to note, the Scooby-Doo line drew inspiration from multiple generations of Scooby-Doo, but Frank Welker did indeed voice Fred and Scoob in the direct to DVD Lego Scooby-Doo movies and Lego Dimensions.
He also voiced Sven in the Lego Frozen mini-series, Slimer, Stay Puft and Stripe in Lego Dimensions, and Santa's Little Helper and Snowball in the Simpsons (if Momo counts so should they).

I don't think any of the Jokers are specifically any of the version Hamill has voiced. Even when he voiced him in the DC Super-Villains game I don't think they did a minifig for that
Stephen Stanton also plays Griff Halloran in Star Wars: Resistance
Frank Welker should be added, seems kinda weird he plays so many characters in Dimensions but isn't listed at all.

And Black Phantom.
Is Jake Gyllenhaal on this list?
He might be I just can't see him.
I know he plays Mysterio (Marvel Superheroes) & Dastan (Prince of Persia)
(EDIT) He's been added now.
@KyloRen0806 - Thank you, Jake Gyllenhaal has been added to the list.
@CCC - LEGO has never produced a Yoda minifigure based upon The Phantom Menace.
@CapnRex101:
Joker, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn from the original Batman theme are all dead matches for their B:TAS appearances. On the other hand, no set has ever been released with any sort of B:TAS logo or badging. This one will continue to be hotly contested for years to come, unless they ever release an official B:TAS Joker (maybe someday they'll do a collector-grade B:TAS Batmobile with Batman and Joker minifigs). Beyond those three, it gets very difficult to match up any DC minifigs to non-LEGO animation.
@kongutahu:
And that's where things get really messy. Sometimes a minifig is based on an animated work, and sometimes an animated work is based on a minifig. In the case of Dimensions, I don't think _any_ of the minifigs can be credited to people who voiced the characters in the game because the game would have been based on the minifigs, which were all based on other sources. If they'd ever produced a Lord Vortech minifig, then Gary Oldman would have qualified for a third role, because that would have been the only minifig based on a character that was original to the game.

Oh someone else said cool
Dee Bradley Baker is also the voice of Hammond from Overwatch and he appeared in 1 set - 75976 Wrecking Ball
So he has 10 Minifigures in total!

Wouldn’t NINGAGO fall under that same issue? The movie/TV show is based on the minifigs, not the other way around. If Dimensions doesn’t count, I don’t see how NINJAGO would.
Technically Christopher Lee has both his live-action and TCW movie minifigures.
Maybe the movie-based Phase II Clone Pilot and Clone Commander could be added to Temuera Morrison's list as they did have speaking roles.
I keep track of this too but I only count minifigures where you can see the actor's face.
Great article! Such a fun read!
Although I am surprised that none of Mark Hamill’s Jokers made it into consideration. I had heard the Joker from the 2006 Batman line was based on the animated series variant.
That's a big list, thanks for it.

Yep. The DC Supervillains version should be counting for him :/
Funnily enough, was reading a Mark Hamill tweet today about voice acting & he said the one to learn from is Dee Bradley Baker

I'm pretty sure all Mark Hamills Joker roles were in rated R movies so Lego couldn't produce sets of them.
I want to see a list of who has done the most FRANCHISES. Anyone with 6+ will go WAY DOWN on that list since a lot of those are characters from the same show or related shows.

"
He was the Joker in Batman: The Animated series.
If we counted CCBS, Scott McNeil and Andrew Francis would each get another one for Tahu and Jaller.
Where is Tabitha St. Germain?
I want to say that the Toa Hordika figs count as minifigs in the Brickset Archive, which would at least giver her two since she voiced Nokama in Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows, and there is an Akita minifig from Ninjago. I'm not sure if Mistake ever got a minifig from Ninjago, but if there was, that would give her three.
And if you include the Toa Hordika figs, then that means some other names need to be added/updated with that information.
@greenleaf547:
Ninjago, like Monkie Kid, had both show and sets planned for release around the same time. Dimensions characters were all based on pre-existing properties with the game characters based on the minifigs. It's a messy distinction, and in most cases it doesn't even matter (the vast majority of characters appear to have sampled voices, or they actually got the original voice cast to record dialogue just for the game).
@BlobfishBricks:
Hamill only became associated with playing Joker because of B:TAS, which was technically developed as a kid's show. He reprised the role for several other TV shows and movies in the DC Animated Universe, a handful of other animated or live-action shows as well as some video games, but the only R-rated performance he appears to have done is for The Killing Joke's animated film (which also appears to be the only R-rated film that Joker is featured in, unless you count Harley's exposition from Birds of Prey, which is a non-speaking animated role). There have been quite a few other performers who have voiced Joker since Hamill first took on the role, most notably Michael Emerson for the two part film adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns.
It's Kevin Conroy who has basically made an entire career out of voicing Batman until probably Justice League: The New Frontier when I think someone decided they needed a totally different sound for the character. After that, directors seemed to feel free to explore new options in a way that they hadn't before, and Jason O'Mara appears to be the new default choice.
I had no idea SpongeBob was the viceroy of the Trade Federation.
Grey Griffin should at least be tied with Dee Bradley Baker. According to IMDB, in addition to the roles listed above she has been the voice of:
-Daphne Blake (Scooby Doo). She may not be the original, but she's voiced the role for the last 20 years.
-Padme Amidala (Clone Wars)
-Asajj Ventress (Clone Wars)
-Shaak Ti (Clone Wars)
These all have show-specific minifigures. She also voiced Stass Allie but that would not count since the figure is based on Episode 2.
That puts her at 9 different minifigures.
If you wanted to include LEGO TV shows/games you could potentially add more (Pepper Potts, Catwoman, Jessica Cruz) but that might be too messy for this list.
It's a shame we never got the film versions of Red Skull and Ra's Al-Ghul, otherwise Liam Neeson and Hugo Weaving would have made the physical performances list.
Way to work it, Warwick!

High time to make minifigures and LEGO sets for the movie Willow (The Land of Nockmar)! For one extra for Warwick Davis. :-)

To be nitpicky, she voiced those characters in the Clone Wars cartoon, not the 3D animated series, so from those three, the only fig that would count would be the Asajj Ventress from the Azure Angel set.
I'm surprised that non-minifig characters like Smaug or Hawkodile are counted for this list but contraction ones like the Toa are not. As someone mentioned before the Hordika even have minifig variants.
I think there may need to be some amendments. Check out the voice work for the LEGO videogames, particularly the most recent DC Supervillains. Many of the TLG sets and figure designs get lifted right from these games, and Hamill did Joker in LEGO DC Super Villains. They used some amazing voices in that game from lots of folks who did work on the animated shows and on the Arkham series of games.
Here is a shot of Joker’s outfit from LEGO DC Super Villains.
https://nerdreactor.com/2018/06/25/lego-dc-super-villains-e3/
Matches up to the 2019 76119-1: Batmobile: Pursuit of The Joker. Lots of the 2019 sets are inspired by that game, which I’ve played (well, I play all of them). Through the database there are quite a few going back to when it started that are directly lifted from the TT LEGO Batman games. Or...vice versa, depending on your point of view.
Oh, and my bad, my OCD kinda took over, but that just means that this article is AWESOME!!!!
@shotgunchipmunk:
Unless the sets can be tied back to a _specific_ TV series, the characters are generally considered off-limits for this type of list. Maybe if one person voiced the character for every series released up to that point, an exception could be made on a case-by-case basis, but Scooby-Doo gets really messy. I did some research on the villains, and based on the identities of the people wearing the costumes, they're drawn from several different series (and mostly the early ones, I think). And the swamp creature can't even be matched up to any episodes.
TMNT would have gotten even messier if the line hadn't ended when it did. In April 2014, the final wave of sets based on the 2012 animated series was released, which included two new Leonardo minifigs. In May, the first episode with Dominic Catrambone subbing in for Jason Biggs aired. We don't know exactly when Biggs was let go (Nickelodeon apparently never came right out and stated that they fired him). But, if he'd been fired much earlier, or if they'd kept producing new sets, there would have come a point when it would have been necessary to address which Leo minifigs got credited to Biggs, which to Seth Green, and whether any of them would be credited to Catrambone for the handful of episodes he voiced.
@blogzilly:
Typically, the minifig designs are based on actual character designs, drawn from print media, movies, or TV shows. There aren't likely to be many minifigs that are based on looks that are original to any video games. The difficulty comes in tracing that design back to the source. I am very familiar with this challenge, as there are a handful of Batman-related minifigs that I can't match up to anything. There's one Bane minifig in particular that has long irritated me. The first Bane, in a dark-blue outfit, from the original Batman theme, is easy to match up to the original appearance of the character. But the second Bane minifig had a black outfit. For several years, the top image on Bane's Wikipedia page showed Bane perched on a gargoyle like Batman, wearing that exact same outfit (the image got changed recently). The only problem was, I had no way of determining when and how that new outfit was introduced. I just knew that the 2nd Bane minifig was clearly based on an existing print design, and not something they pulled out of thin air.
Should'nt Chris Pratt have three minifigs? Since he's literally a minifig (or two) in The LEGO Movie as well or did I miss something....? (See his own share on istagram btw https://www.instagram.com/p/BtCGzv4l4vH/ haha...)
=)
@davidredjoy:
He got credit for Star Lord/Peter Quill and Owen Grady in the top half, which is restricted to live-action performances. And he got bumped up to four with Emmet and Rex when voice work is included.
@Yellost
Shaak Ti in 7931, Padme in 9515, and Asajj in 7676 are all Explicitly tagged for the Clone Wars show where Grey Griffin provided the voice.
@PurpleDave
Thing is, Grey Griffin has voiced every animated Daphne since 2000 (except for one movie in 2003 where Heather North returned) and is the longest running voice actor in the role. She is *the* defining actress of the role, even moreso than the original (who was replaced after one season). She even voices Daphne in every LEGO Scooby Doo movie and short, so she literally is the voice of the minifigure.
@shotgunchipmunk:
But again, the sets drew villains from the entire history of the IP. There's no way to match the theme up to any one series. "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" was the series that debuted right around the time that this theme was launched. The LEGO theme's logo clearly mimics the design of the BCSD logo, but reduces it just to "Scooby-Doo!" It's been noted that the minifigs aren't based on that series at all, so they may very well have gone back to the earlier series for their design. There's a legitimate argument to be made that the villains, at least, could be credited to specific voice cast, since their civilian identities changed from one appearance to the next, even for those villains who ended up in pretty much every series. If they're not credited, then the Scooby gang shouldn't be either.
You’ve not accounted for the Scooby Doo line!
Kate Micucci should have one additional fig listed for Velma Dinkley (Scooby Doo), Grey Griffin should have one additional gig listed for Daphne Blake, and Frank Welker needs added to the Voice Acting list as Fred Jones and Scooby Doo , and I’m certain a few more (he’s done more voice acting than anyone on the planet, there have to be a few I don’t know of)
Intresting
What about Ian Mckellen as Gandalf and Magneto?
@Magmagmagz:
We've just been discussing that theme, and the fact that it's not based off any specific series (but there are a handful that can be definitely ruled out, either by obvious differences in character design, or having been released after the LEGO theme ended). Without a single series to pin it to, there are several cast members who have equally valid claims on these characters, so they get credited to nobody.
There are a few Batman-related minifigs that are clearly based on the character designs for Batman: The Animated Series that I'd argue give their voice cast a better argument than any of the Scooby gang. In their cases, there _aren't_ any competing claims, but neither are there any B:TAS logos on the boxes. So they don't get credit either.
@Johnny_V_:
Ian McKellen gets credit for Gandalf (based on the film), but nobody gets credit for Magneto as all of his minifigs were based on print media. So, with only one qualifying minifig, McKellen doesn't make the list.

That's where the confusion lies, I think. Grey Griffin has no voice credit in the "Star Wars : The Clone Wars" show (the CGI one that started in 2008 which most of the non-movie sets are based on). In that one, Catherine Taber voiced Padmé, Nika Futterman voiced Asajj Ventress and Tasia Valenza voiced Shaak Ti.
Grey Griffin voiced those three characters in Tartakovsky's "Star Wars : Clone Wars", the hand drawn animated series from 2003 which only 75087 Anakin's Custom Jedi Starfighter is based on.

"Mark hamill never voiced any of the joker minifigures?"
Mark Hamill voiced the Joker and the Trickster in Lego DC Super Villains and Kevin Conroy came to voice Batman in the game too
So which character with the most minifigures also is the most degrees from Kevin Bacon? LOL.

"Pathetic. Temuera Morrison has 200,000 minifigures with a million more well on the way. "

I stand corrected!
Also forgotten was Alan Tudyk who voiced K-2SO in rogue one and Hei hei in Moana
I see you have once again missed Tara Strong voicing Mary Jane in Ultimate Spider-man, and she does have a minifig of that specific role as she's in one of the Ultimate Spider-man branded Spidey sets, the one with the Green Goblin bigfig and Luke Cage and the spider-copter.
