I loved the turbo turning function, haven't seen somthing execute like this after.

I remember flipping through the catalog a little bit after this theme came out. I passed these up and got Alien Conquest sets instead. Alien Conquest is a great theme but I wish I got some of these too.

Oh man I remember these! Has it really been that long since they were released? Great sets with wonderful design.

By in United States,

I have a few of these Atlantis sets. They’re fantastic. Some of the best brick built creatures and vehicles AND figs out there.

By in Australia,

As much as I enjoyed the Atlantis theme, I remember quite happily passing on this submarine. You had a gigantic structure, but a tiny cockpit for a single minifig.

One of my favourite sets so far, a brilliant play feature, a solid mechanism, and excellent minifigs. Atlantis is soo nostalgic for me

This is a pretty cool set, with that play feature and all.

Fun set, one of my favorites from the first wave of Atlantis sets. I wonder if I still have it boxed away somewhere...

I never had this set, but the theme as a while is so nostalgic for me!

Wonderful set! An awesome function, beatiful design, and great Minifigures. And for 25$, this is a very well priced set. LEGO really should bring back Atlantis (or a theme similar to it)!

Atlantis theme felt very fresh to me when it came out. Colors and designs were so different. I had some of the sets, not this one though. This sub looks cool but didn't feel right with all that technic bricks exposed.

Oh, how many parts of this set I saw from buying unsorted lots. I think I only saw it built once.

Have this set as well. I even remember getting it for half the price.
Really wish they would've produced the Atlantis theme longer. The villains are some of the coolest minifigs ever in my opinion

If General Grevous needed a sub, this would be it.

I’ve ended up with random parts of it too, all from different lots. The technic mechanism, one side pod (without the turbine), the cockpit glass attached to some of the cockpit, the front of the vehicle, the figures, the flick missiles in their holders...

People really like destroying this set and chucking the parts in whatever one of their parts pins they see first.

Aah, I found this at a local convention a few years ago for only $20 AUD sealed, but with a damaged box. I briefly considered picking it up, but by the time I came back somebody beat me to it.

Oh well, it’s not a bad set.

This RSotD has reminded me that I built about 95% of this set from a mixed job-lot - and have left it built as I quite like the style of it. That shark head for the minifig is superb.

I like how they brought back those type of suits for the 2019 City Space and 2020 City Divers line (in different color) but figures from both themes could easily be used as either astronauts or divers.

Still, while I never had Atlantis sets, nowadays I would prefer the sets with underwater structures (Gateway / Portal / City of Atlantis).

I missed all of this series. I have to say this set looks brilliant, and it appears I can get a good used set on BrickLink for very reasonable.

I owned this once for a few weeks. Got it sealed in the box somewhere (fairly cheap) and was really eager to get it back then. But once I had it in my hands I realized that (as @Zordboy said above) it's just a gigantic structure with a tiny cockpit and lots and lots of visible Technic parts. I was quite disappointed seeing it 'in real life' (well, not built, just different shots on the box). Eventually, I just sold it again.
