Vote for the 150th BrickHeadz!

Posted by ,

LEGO has produced almost 150 BrickHeadz figures since 2016. LEGO Ideas is now offering fans an opportunity to vote for the theme of the upcoming 150th BrickHeadz!

Star Wars, Minecraft, Jaws and Lilo & Stitch are available to choose from. Jaws seems especially interesting since nothing from Spielberg's classic movie has appeared in a physical set before.

You can also submit your suggestion for the character when casting your vote. Follow this link to have your say.

How did you vote and which character did you suggest? Let us know in the comments.

This is interesting, I hope Minecraft doesn’t make it after seeing how the las Minecraft Brickheadz turned out. Star Wars would be cool, but they’ve already done some for it, and I’m ashamed to say I’ve never watched LILO and Stitch. I think a brickheadz shark would be interesting, so I’ll probably vote for Jaws.

By in Canada,

Come on, we want the Orca, this means if they make a Brickheadz they can make more Jaws sets.

I hope.

LEGO Orca for the win! Vote for Jaws, it's new, it's awesome and it's a sign that it's still not safe to go back into the water.

By in United States,

Not even going to enter because I already know Star Wars will automatically win.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It has to be Jaws and the man standing next to the tiger shark who says "a what?"

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Iv been upset even since lego took off the Jaws ideas set because it didn't meet their rules.

All the other ones could have happen anyway, we need Jaws!!!!!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Vote for Jaws and make it bad hat Harry or maybe the Mayor in his plaid suit that says Coronavirus - sorry, the shark doesn't exist.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

There are 149 Brickheadz already?! I'd go for Jaws.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Would the Jaws one be a shark or a victim? :~P

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anybody who votes for something other than Jaws is a jerk! (Just kidding, but that one would be much more fun than the others. They’ll do more SW anyway.)

And for characters, Bruce (the shark itself) and Quint, please!

For SW voters, please consider listing Niem Numb. Lego has ignored this fan favorite for too long!!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I voted for a C3PO, we need that golden boi :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I hope JAWS wins and the character?? the shark! It prolly wont make it cuz anytime u put SW lego in a vote, it always wins. But common people try something new!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Jaws it is :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I understand Brickheadz has mostly been licensed stuff, but I’d still Love to see some “classic” Lego characters... maybe Captain Redbeard, a spaceman or even some more Ninjago. Seems like a perfect opportunity to do something like this for the 150th vs more licensed stuff.
If it’s gonna be licensed stuff, how bout some more Marvel characters from the comics or cartoons?

By in Puerto Rico,

I voted for Jaws and for the charcaters: Chief Murdoch and the Shark. I do love Star Wars massively as well Lilo and Stitch but with the entrance of adult oriented sets it's a good time as ever to make Jaws sets.

I am a massive SW nerd but I went with Jaws.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I vote for... Funko Pop, Brickheadz Beany Baby.
I really don't care much at all.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's certainly an eclectic set of licenses they've picked, I kind of wonder how they arrived at these four!

I went with Lilo and Stitch, requesting a twin pack of... well... Lilo and Stitch! You can't really have one without the other, can you?

Gravatar
By in France,

I really don't see the point to vote, all BrickHeadz are ugly and should never have existed in the first place...

Gravatar
By in United States,

If they make the shark from Jaws, it should be designed "looking up" so the figure looks like the poster.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Jaws is very interesting because it is a restricted IP on Lego Ideas. Is the movie no longer too violent for Lego standards (especially after what happened to the Osprey)?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

There are many Star Wars ones already, so I hope one of the other themes wins. I voted Jaws, as that appeals to me most.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Anyone else with a 403 error?

Edit: link in article didn't work. Had to go to my notifications and go to he vote there...

Gravatar
By in United States,

yup 403 error here too

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

JAWS 100%.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Jaws all the way. They will do more Star Wars, and other Disney Brickheadz anyway. Never played Minecraft so no desire for those.

You mean yellow, this is lego after all.

ice cream machine bespin dude, stitch, or jaws (with the Brickheadz looking like the poster)

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

First of all, I very much appreciate LEGO turning to their fan base to come up with ideas for a particular set (other than LEGO Ideas of course).

I'm not really expecting Star Wars to win here, nor will I be bumped if it doesn't get picked. I went with Star Wars since it is the only theme I'm a fan of.

I went with Captain Rex as my choice for character.

Gravatar
By in Czechia,

Voted for admiral Thrawn.

Don’t you mean a “shark or the REMENANTS of a victim?”

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

I voted for Jaws and would love to see Hooper, Quint, Brody and Bruce the shark.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Jaws, huh? That’s quite a surprise!
Though I wonder how the shark will look. That’ll make or break the kit.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I went for Lilo & Stitch: specifically Lilo herself, since Stitch already gets almost ALL the merchandise. While I can understand that 'the cute alien' is more marketable, it also feels unfair to Lilo that, despite sharing the title with him in equal prominence, she gets relatively little attention.

I wouldn't be disappointed if Stitch got chosen instead, of course... or any of the other characters, really. Gantu would be cool - he'd actually be correctly-scaled, more or less, to the Stitch minifigure (71012-1) from a few years back! - or any of the other experiments. I just feel like most people who vote for that movie will pick Stitch, so I wanted to make sure there was at least one vote rooting for his best friend instead!

I haven't bought a Brickhead yet; but if Lilo & Stitch does get picked I have a feeling that, depending on the look of the final product, they'd be my first ^^

-
(Though if the comments here are any indication, there's no chance at all that Jaws isn't going to win! I've never seen that movie, so I can't comment either way; but honestly? I have no objection, no matter what the outcome ^^)

By in United States,

Rearrange the numbers in 150 and you get 501. Who leads the 501st? Anakin. The Star Wars one is supposed to be Anakin and Obi-Wan

Oh yeah, this is big brain time

Clone Wars Season 7 Anakin and Obi - Wan? I'll take your entire stock!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I chose Bruce from Jaws. But I think we all know that Star Wars or Minecraft will win this.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

Lilo and Stitch needs to win pleaseeeeeee

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh it HAS to be LILO & STITCH!!!

For anyone who hasn’t see the first film, make time for it this weekend!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Honestly I'm going with Minecraft. I'm not a fan of Brickheadz were there's only one entry per theme and Star Wars already has tons of them. The MC collection has already started and needs a bit of a boost

Gravatar
By in United States,

Are they including Brickheadz without number in the 149? As far as I can tell they only have up to 114 of them that are numbered, 114 being the Mandalorian, and are missing numbers 104-109, in between Buckbeak and Monkey King.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Please, do Quint and the Shark from 'Jaws'!
And give us Quint's boat, the 'Orca' as an ideas set.
The Amity Harbour float chopper from Jaws 2 would be a great piece, too.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Will this be released as an Ideas set with a 21XXX number?

@Zander:
Or the silver airtank...

@tgewin:
You know what would be awesome, is Quint wearing a Bruce suit.

@BulbaNerd4000:
You know who likes Levi's 501 button-fly jeans? Bruce, the shark (they don't chew up his stomach the way zippers do).

@AgentR2:
AdeelZubair posted a link to a Brickheadz list compiled by Aero_X. If you read the notes at the top, 114 numbered characters have been accounted for (including 57 TRU Geoffrey which has not been released, and the gap you mentioned). The first eight SDCC characters were not numbered, plus there were seven promotional sets and three unnumbered LEGO.com exclusives. I compared the Brickset list to the Bricklink list, and the only ones that Bricklink lists that Brickset is missing are 2-packs of other Disney Wars single-packs, while Brickset lists Cologne and Geoffrey that are not on Bricklink.

That Brickset list, though, mentions nine unreleased sets at the bottom. Two are tagged as Minions, two as Disney, and two as Fantastic Beasts. Minions 2 and FB3 were supposed to be in theaters by now, and if the other two tie to a Disney flick that got delayed as well, that could explain the 104-109 gap. The last three don't have many details known except that one will be a LEGO.com exclusive. Regardless, yes, there's a significant gap. We also don't know if this will the the 150th overall, or if it will be numbered 150, but we can assume that they have several unreported Brickheadz in the pipeline for 2021 at this point. It's also possible that they are planning Brickheadz from all four of these themes, and whichever wins the vote gets pushed to the 150 spot, but would still be released otherwise.

I would kill for a Johnny Thunder brickhead

I need a bigger Boat

Ovis jaws :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ooh Jaws please. Also seems to tie nicely in with that Universal themed branding they have?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Maybe an original minifig as brickheadz

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Jaws is... interesting. Not exactly how that would go and all, but I sure want Bruce in brickhead form (Bruce was the name of the shark on setnamed after Spielberg’s lawyer)

Star Wars might be my second choice, I have a strange feeling it might be Threepio and Artoo.

I don’t care for the other two though.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

I'd vote for the BrickHead to end all BrickHeadz.

In my book they should have kept making Mixels instead of these that basically all look kind of the same. The Mixels were cheaper and much more creative.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Spartan_Ghost:
JAWS 19!!!!!!! They could make it all in transparent colors...

@TheWackyWookiee:
Bruce is the only likely character that I've ever seen in person. I went on the Universal Studios backlot tour in California back in the mid to late 90's, and at one point you were headed towards the Bates Motel next to a small pond, and this giant shark head would lunge out of the water at you. I'm 99% certain they said it was used in the film (so was Bates). Other things I remember seeing were the BttF clock tower (which has since burned down), a row of various movie/TV vehicles (including the BttF DeLorean, the General Lee, the A-Team van, at least one M*A*S*H Jeep, a Jurassic Park tour SUV, and the Starsky & Hutch car), and the bridge from The Bionice Woman that she jumps onto from the water (they taped her hair down and had her jump off the bridge into the water to film it, and then ran the footage in reverse).

By in Belgium,

Jaws! I prefer Star Wars, but we deserve some new themes in Brickhaedz form.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Jaws. That would be a clever brickhead. I have enough people. I certainly have enough Star Wars people.

Yes, Willrow Hood got my vote! I don’t care for Brickheadz, but if I was ever to buy one it would have to be someone absurd like that.

Besides, he is the only one in all of Cloud City to realize that surviving the Empire is pointless if you wind up on Tatooine and can’t eat ice cream. I assume vanilla ice cream there would be blue.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Picked Star Wars for the theme and Kit Fisto for the character. Would be a cool build.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Voted for Jaws, even though I've never seen the movie. We'll easily get more Star Wars and Minecraft sometime, and I would hate the Lilo & Stitch one to win.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Probably should've voted for Ahsoka or Rex...

:'(

Gravatar
By in United States,

Star Wars - Ahsoka Tano

Gravatar
By in United States,

I’m gonna be so pissed if Jar-Jar Binks wins because of that stupid Youtuber. I’m really hoping for Jaws! Just the possibility of getting the Orca would be so great.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

The only character I liked or would be interested in, in Jaws would be the shark, so I voted Star Wars, but like above, I wish I had voted Ahsoka or Rex.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@ngclarkkiv:
I could actually go for Jar-Jar, if I get to pick his outfit. I'm thinking something in carbonite...

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Star Wars is my pick. At number 150 , I would move the 1 to the end, and vote for 501st Battle Trooper :) It would be a good benchmark for Lego to remind them that they made big loads of money from the infamous Battle Pack that depleted warehouses all over the world, and still is.

And then again, after last night, I would go with Ahsoka Tano! Her headz design would be interesting to see in brick form.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

If Star Wars win, Palpatine would be an iconic character that is worthy of number 150.
He pretty much existed from Episode 1-9.

Gravatar
By in Austria,

As much as I'd like to see a JAWS set from LEGO, a Brickheadz isn't the best way to do it.

I'm voting STAR WARS.
Because we have not got an EMPEROR PALPATINE Brickheadz.
And he's one of the only main characters still missing.
