Is that a friction motor in the bike?
Regarding 60298: Rocket Racer's got a bike now!?!
That's probably the most exciting selection of Star Wars sets I've seen in years.

looks like it
Wow, that's exactly the lineup everyone was hoping for from Star Wars.
Wait, did I miss a memo? Since when is Star Wars actually good again?
That Gauntlet and Slave 1 are amazing!
Its so bizarre that they finally made a piece perfect for Maul's lightsaber hilt only to just ... not use it for Maul's lightsaber hilt.
Wow, the scaled down Slave 1 looks amazing. Really reminiscent of the original one (7144). Not too enthusiastic about any of the other Star Wars sets to be honest.
The different motorcycle chassises (Chassii??!) look interesting. I suspect they will be used in many cyberpunk builds in years to come!
I love those Mandalorian sets!
Those Star Wars sets are genuinely amazing. The Mandalorian Starfighter looks great, as does Moff Gideon's light cruiser.
And the minifigure selection is fantastic too. Ahsoka and Maul in the same small set, from one of the best scenes in The Clone Wars. Couldn't be happier with this wave.
This is the Star Wars line up i was looking for !
I like big trucks and I can not lie
Love that Gar Saxon and Bo Katan minifigures. That Mandalorian Boba Fett looks great too, too bad I owned the 2019 Slave I already.
Hope they make a trans-black bar for the darksaber. I feel like the solid black doesn't really work that well for the darksaber.
I hope they still reveal the rumored Mandalorian Forge.
Control+ gets another round. Meh.
Now, this is the way. I'm going to go broke
LEGO City Stuntz is giving me an early 2000's Racers vibe. Pull pack motor cycles are gonna be fun. These first few sets are kinda basic, but if they ever come out with some better ones I may be tempted to get one.
I'm surprised this got posted - the links to the Japanese catalogue PDFs on the LEGO server got taken down hours ago making it an invalid source per the LAN regs on posting pics.
And here I thought the Slave I ship wouldn't be Mandalorian specific, guess I have to get it now! (or find that Boba fig on bricklink after the fact)
Set 60295 has a trans-yellow windscreen. Classic Space fans rejoice!
Pneumatics back in a Technic model. YES!!!! I used to own 8843 as a child and loved it. I think pneumatics are more fun and educational than power functions.

PNEUMATICS!! WOOOOH!
Motors have their place too, especially when it comes to learning about torque & gear ratios.
Also, those Stuntz sets look quite cunning.
A wave based on Mandalorian and last season of Clone Wars could only be perfect. They only missed Mandalorian Ahsoka and Luke. Still, an amazing wave.
Duel on Mandalore - the best onscreen duel yet! But ugh, missing a few pretty significant figures from a certain scene on Moff Gideon's cruiser, 2 in particular...

It would have been better with an Imperial Juggernaut which was featured in Mando season 2 with Bill Burt but there was already Moff Gideon Cruiser in there.
Sign me up for the Power Tow please! Looks like a lot of fun.
If I may say, a rather 'good batch' for the Lego SW summer wave.
Some v neat new minifigs too.
I don't collect the other themes but that Marvel Advent Calendar is a must-own. Just take my money, Lego!

Agreed 100%, every one of those Star Wars sets has something to like.
A Maul-Ashoka set that should be priced well? Just take my money now.
I gotta get that Slave I! Oh, and a new Darth Maul—yes! And a Marvel advent calendar? That’s a surprise! It looks like it has a Deadpool minifig?

No, the catalogue was publicly published for anyone to view or download and definitely does not contravene any LEGO Ambassador Network rules concerning leaks. Whether the relevant information was published intentionally or later deleted is immaterial.
I think we possess a pretty comprehensive understanding of the rules.
42128 Has the small pneumatic cylinder (6099775) that we haven't seen since it's first appearence in the 42043 Mercedes-Benz Arocs 3245!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That Star Wars wave is so incredible. I love all things Star Wars, but the fact that we ONLY see Mandalorian and The Clone Wars sets shows that LEGO is pushing their horizons. I'm more than likely going to be buying all of these.
60299- Brickstack, Brickstack, BRICKSTACK!!!
I was not going to go and add more grey hulks to my collection, but Moff Gideon and the Dark Trooper make me rethink my policy...
Holy pilfered piggy banks Batman! That's a big set drop. 75311 and 75315 look to be my first SW purchases in quite a while. Yet, another Boba Fett's Slave I? I know it was in the show, and after Mando's ship went kablooey was their main mode of transportation for the last couple episodes, but still. Those pull back bikes for City look interesting. Glad to get single bikes w/riders as cheap little sets, as those elusive polybags tend to evade me in these parts. Yet, the back of the bikes (necessitated to include the pull back motor), look... weird. The Marvel Advent Calendar looks like it will have some amazing figures. Truly a wave for a wallet to be frightened of.

Same with Cara Dune. Here I was thinking they would want to use the Princess Raya sidecut hair piece, giving her a reason to be in a new set. She is the only character aside from Child and Mando to get a 1:1 repack. I thought the actress getting unpersoned would have prevented us from getting the new hair in Non-Disney Princess sets but actually they didn't even consider giving it to us elsewhere at all lol.
Now I am far more perplexed that they couldn't spring for two Dark Troopers when the episode of the set was specifically about a squad of Dark Troopers. Not that two would have sufficed but unless they do a battlepack or other Mando Season 2 sets this is just going to be another 40$+ armybuilder on Bricklink...
Omitting Luke at least makes sense because they surely would have just repacked the version of him that was in like 12 sets this past few years already, and then went ahead and cancelled Fennec.
At least 2022 will bring some Book of Boba Fett sets. No need for me to get Slave 1 just for the minifigure. I'll wait for the eventual Throne set with Fett and Fennec.
Just when I thought 2021 wasn't going to be an expensive Lego year for me...
I'll be saving up my money for that Unimog.
@magmafrost:
Standard lightsaber hilt, matching telescope, and two 3L lightsaber blades like _all_ SW lightsabers should be using. That’s how I’ve been doing it for years. The grips are spaced just right so he can hold it in a two-handed grip.
Another wave of sets from the Mandalorian and still nothing for Wandavision or Falcon and Winter Soldier. That's disappointing
Finally! Some Technic!
Those small Stuntz bike sets are pretty cool actually. Wonder how much they cost. €5 maybe?

Going by the graphics on the bike photos I think they're 'push-forward' friction-type motors rather that 'pull-back' wind-up-type motors. The workings inside must be tiny! I hope they're robustly built, a common problem with this type of motor is getting it going fast then holding it down instead of letting it go, which can chew up the insides if they're weak. I expect LEGO designers have tested them to destruction though and made them to last.
It's a little surprising that the City Stuntz theme, being an extreme arena motor sports theme, doesn't tie in with the Monster Jam license they used for the current Technic Grave Digger and Max D monster trucks. Arena monster truck shows in real life often have bikes doing huge jumps and stunts too, so it seems like a ideal match-up...
I really like the crushable cars design :)
I like the ideas here but the structure of the sets are getting further away from my liking. I'm getting too old for this...
The technic tow truck 42128 looks great, and the pneumatics should make an interesting build and add more clever functionality than the previous 8285 (which sells for silly prices on the secondary market).
The uni-mog truck 42129 really needs a crane at the back like the previous 8110 (which also sells for silly prices) and if this was combined with the powered up would make it different to the previous remote controlled forward/backward , steerable vehicles.
Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh that Duel on Mandalore set has the Mandalorian sarcophagus which they used to imprison Maul!

The plural of "chassis" is "chassis".
Holy cow holy cow holy cow!!! This is beautiful! I was hoping that the Slave I was going to be based off of Mando. I have to get that one, and the mandalore throne room fight. All of the other Star Wars sets are epic! I’d buy all of them if I had the money. And I love the Marvel advent calendar. Here’s hoping that the CMf series isn’t just a rumor.
The truck is not a Unimog, btw. It is a Zetros. Alas with little function as it seems, except for emptying bank accounts unfortunately.
You know, I've been mildly interested in trying one of the Lego advent calendars for a couple of years now, but most of them haven't interested me enough to actually go for it. But that Marvel calendar looks cool, and I'm new enough to that fandom than anything that comes out of the calendar will be fresh for me... I may just be tempted into giving that one a try. Nice, nice ^^

I didn't even realise at first, but IT IS, IT IS, IT IS HIM! He's even got that racing suit with one red arm and one blue, like he had in the original Lego Racers game... consider me SOLD on that one! Rocket Racer was my favourite Lego character as a kid, and I was always so disappointed that they never made a minifigure of him...
If he's finally got one, after all this time, childhood!me is absolutely demanding that I buy him! :D Hopefully those little bikes aren't going to be very expensive, please tell me I'm not gonna have to part with, like, £20 just to get the Rocket Racer one xDD;
(And thanks so much for pointing him out, I would have missed that otherwise!)
Is Dum-E carrying a stocking to hang? So cool!

I can hear my wallet whimpering as I type.
‘City Stuntz’ - How many pints does it take before you intend to say that but it comes out very, very wrong? :~P
I'm not a SW fan, but the sets look nice enough.
The City stunt sets look ... interesting. Particularly with the pullback motor options for the motorcycles. I probably won't buy any for myself, though. Why is that one cyclist trying to deal with a giant mutant spider?
The Marvel advent calendar, though? Yes please.
Oh...
At first I read it as "Technic Advent Calendar"
I had just about given up on Star Wars and Marvel.
But LEGO couldn’t have that could they?
The truck looks good, but too bad about Control+. A real disincentive.

I think there might already be something wrong with talking Lego down the pub :)
for a moment i tought it was "technic advent calendar" and was intrigued
Duel on Mandalore, Light Cruiser, Marauder and the Bad Batch Shuttle are great and I'm really interested in getting them.
Might consider the smaller Slave I. It looks nice, but I already have the excellent 75243...
The pneumatic tow truck is the one I'm interested in.
The other Technic truck looks nice, but I have no interest in Control+.
don't have a slave I yet, so that one's a must for me. the other SW ones are pretty killer too (wallet wimpering like others too)
Who thought it’s a good idea to put a “selfie maker guy” on a bike while he is riding it?

Watch the obscene price on bricklink plummet! Over €30 average at the moment. Once they stick it in a small reasonably price set it will go even further
The Marvel advent calendar is pretty interesting. The Zetros would have been nice, but they had to bump up the price with electronics and Control+. Didn't need to be RC in my opinion. I've heard rumors about LEGO possibly doing a Rallye Zetros, but figured they were false. Now, I'm wondering if the Caterpillar D11 is just a rumor, or perhaps a fall set.
42128 for me. I've missed out on every heavy wrecker LEGO has done beforehand. I think the boom is a little clunky, however. Also, most "rotators" have two sets of outriggers and the rear spades, not one set of outriggers+ spades. I know some companies do put such over-the-top graphics on their trucks, but I will be leaving out most of the decals on it.
Seeing that turntable under the boom makes me wonder if LEGO has replicated a rotator. They are a specialty type of heavy wrecker, featuring a rotating boom.
FINALLY! dang.
yeah I think i'm stuck getting all of them...
Is there someone who reads Japanese, that can translate the part numbers, and prices?
I may regret having started to acquire Mandalorian sets...
i wonder, is the "Mandalorian loyalist" with 75316 koska reeves?
Since when did LEGO listen to fans?
I am absolutely over the moon about this Star Wars wave!!! Finally Lego is going all-in on current content with Mandalorian and Clone Wars. Hopefully this bodes well for getting more Bad Batch sets in the future, as well as items themed to all the upcoming Disney+ projects.
On the Marve side, the Sakaarian Iron Man set is a nice surprise! It looks fantastic. Equally excited about the new advent calendar too!
Lots of cool sets here. I can't wait until we get more details and additional pics. Thanks for posting!
As far as Star Wars is concerned, I'll end up buying all of them (when at a discount), except the Bad Batch shuttle, because "I don't watch ******* cartoons", as Mr. Plinkett said in his TFA trailer 'analsis' :D, although I'm contradicting myself with Duel on Mandalore, but at least I'll get an Ahsoka figure (and that brilliant Maul!) without buying that uninteresting AAT.
@ahughwilliams said:
"i wonder, is the "Mandalorian loyalist" with 75316 koska reeves?"
I would say no, as this is based on episodes close to the end of The Clone Wars and Reeves wasn’t a character until 27 years later in the timeline.
@magmafrost said:

What piece is that?
For anyone wondering about the Cara Dune hairpiece, it's in 43181-1 , can't miss it
Also, RE small Slave 1 - so do we think they're going to reduce the part count on most/all standard star wars ships now? I don't quite know what to make of that. Sure, some of them look great, but it would be pretty annoying for them to finally release a Resistance B-Wing or Oochi's Ship and have them look bad alongside the other Resistance models... etc...
But what am I complaining about. I've been hoping for an Arquitens for years, even before Moff Gideon. And we get the upcoming Domo ship from Marvel to be a Quasar Fire-class. The large models do not dissappoint.
@Cooliocdawg said:

I can read some Japanese, but don't have to for the SW sets. They already have part numbers and prices in the database. Just click the set number link and you can see the set info. As for the rest, there are set names, numbers and release dates in the images, but I'm not seeing part numbers or prices. Even if there were prices, they would be in yen, not $, € or £.
Gotta say, this is one of the worst Star Wars waves in years! Where's the new Luke's Landspeeder, or the new Snowspeeder? The last system scale TIE Fighter was released 4 months ago, so that should also be due for a remake. Really hate that this wave is not 90% Original Trilogy based with a few Sequel sets thrown in there that no one wants! I miss those good old days.
Ugh it's all based on new TV properties and new, colorful vehicles, with great minifigure selections! Even the obligatory grey triangle ship is based on something we haven't seen before.
City Stuntz looks just like how it sounds…a stunt to grab cash fast. Be interesting to see how it’s priced and packaged but on first glance it has a funny smell to it.
Star Wars looks really well thought out this time through. I mean really, really, really well done.

The set is obviously based on TCW, Koska wasn't even born during that time and would have a dark body with regular blue armor.
The design of that nameless Mando looks weird. I have analyzed all the Mandos in TCW once and there were two "models" with a light gray overall but only really hidden in Season 5 and most definitely with darker blue markings than azure.
So many stickers on those Technic models
Cara Dune is back <3
Let's hope those flywheel motorcycles work better than those disastrous ripcord helicopters.
What colour are the pieces on the bonnet (hood) of 42128 ?
I like a lot of what I see here, but that Darksaber is inexcusable.
@SendBrickPics said:

You would really think with Ninjago they could spring for dual molded katanas at some point.
The Slave 1 looks much more viable as a set than anything that's come before. It may be a big ship in the movies but there's no harm in shrinking it down to make the sets more affordable.
Although it looks odd they couldn't fit Boba Fett in any deeper inside. The very first 7144 set was even smaller, but I think it had a better choice of parts for the canopy.
The Mandalorian Starfighter is beautiful
I just peed a little.
Hope Lego has acquired the rights on Evel Knievel! ??
The owners of Evel Knievel are suing Disney / Pixar because Duke Caboom (Toy Story 4) is a .... stunt biker like Evel Knievel! ??

yeah she would be too young, but in the CW show and rebels there were usually 2 niteowls with bo katan, one male and one female, that line up with the two we see in mando.
City stunts gives me some serious early 2000s vibes xD And yeah finally a teal Crash Helmet^^
yeah but looking at bo-katan in the mandalorian, they seem to age waaaaay ebtter tan jedi like obi-wan do...
Of the four downsized ships this year (X-wing, TIE fighter, Imperial Shuttle, Slave 1), I think the Slave 1 is the most successful. It still has all the right colors and proportions, and it genuinely occupies a different size niche than the 2019 model - unlike the Imperial Shuttle, which is still nearly as large as the 2015 model, but is severely compromised. The minifigure selection is good too: a distinct and desirable variant of Boba Fett, and Din Djarin in the same package. A definite must-buy for me.
The Light Cruiser looks like a pretty good set with a lot of internal volume, but I mostly just see a light gray parts pack. At that price, I'd rather get the 75288 AT-AT (though I still haven't bought that one).
The Mandalorian Fighter looks pretty good; I'll wait for the review on that one.

If they are like me, they’re referring to the monkey Kid staff tip piece.
@Zander
Thanks!
Really loving this trend of smaller-scale Star Wars ships – feels like a return to the form of the early 2000s sets. Better to play with, easier to display. As long as it's also reflected in the price, I'm happy.
Sucks to be anyone who hoarded the Raider AT-ST set for the Cara Dune minifig though.

HAAA!! I read, I laugh. I see what you did there.
The Star Wars!!!! Everything has an exclusive minifig and they are all amazing sets too!!!! (Every fig is great too.)
There must have been a sur-production of yellow ducks. There is a duck in 42129 (stunt) and another one in 42129 (Technic Zetros).
Speaking of which, the Mercedes Zetros looks significantly better than the previews. Now, let's see how it looks without the 857 stickers on it. For those into the tow truck (who wouldn't - pneumatics!!!) look on the internet, there is a mod for a much better front.
I might even actually buy a couple of Star Wars sets this time around - haven't done that in a very long time. I like the Slave I and the small set with Ahsoka and Maul. Would like the characters of the Gideon Cruiser but the model is not interesting enough for me. A very expensive year indeed.
You would thing that 75311 would have Cara Dune and the teal colour fish man (really don't know his name) in it?
The most exciting thing here for me is undoubtedly the Rocket Racer stunt bike. That's gonna be a day 1 purchase for me.
City Stuntz looks awesome. I imagine I’ll be stepping on many of those bikes soon as they infiltrate my house.
I might be one of the only people that isn't really excited with the new Star Wars sets. I was really excited for the light cruiser and the Mandalorian starfighter, but looking at them now, I'm not planning on getting them. The minifigs are easily top tier for this wave, but the builds themselves aren't that great. I can accept the color change with the Mandalorian fighter, but the way the head is done feels different than the rest of the model. The wings and the turret at the back are nice, but the cockpit area is so clunky and feels out of place. The angle plates at the front of the head just feel off and don't fit in with the sleek look. I would have rather had an updated model of the 2012 set instead of whatever this set is. For the light cruiser, it looks nice in some areas, but the turrets look so out of place. Some star wars sets strike the right balance of display and play features, but I think the only set that really does this is the bad batch shuttle (besides the coloring). I might be too picky, and hopefully my opinion will change once I see reviews, but I'm not as hyped for this wave as I thought I would be.
Yes yes yes. Technic pneumatics??
Can anyone tell whether this is motorised? I can’t see the manual pump for the pneumatic system.
The Merc looks disappointing. Looks like all it can do is go forwards and backwards...with a mobile phone. But let’s see.
Typical LEGO to get so much right and yet miss the mark so many times when it would be easy to have got this completely right:
Maul should have had the new, longer lightsaber hilt.
The darksaber should have used a sword pice, not a 4L bar. Currently it looks nothing like the onscreen version; this is a weapon shaped very differently to a lightsaber so why are we getting the same piece?
For me the dark trooper should have used new moulds to create a similar figure to the super battle droids. This is how battle droids have been done in LEGO since 1999, it looks weird to change to a mini fig now. (Protocol droids are a bit different I feel - they’re ok as mini figs).
Fennec needed a fabric skirt for her camo. Printing this just doesn’t cut it.
It wouldn’t take much attention to detail or care - but this is LEGO Star Wars in 2021: even when they put out a stellar set line up, they’re too lazy to execute the minifigures properly. Sigh.
The Dark Trooper is a bit strange but overall I still like it. It is pretty weird that only one of them is included, but I suppose with the confirmation that Battle Packs are returning a Dark Trooper pack does seem pretty likely (though hopefully it includes more than one of them).
Feeling unbelievably hyped for the Star Wars stuff. If I had the money and display space, I'd buy them all. Slave-1 and Throne Room Duel are my two highest priority

based on the dark trooper it would be cool if they made the mandalorian armor similarly, give them a little more bulk.
The bottom curve part of the exhaust pipes on 60294 almost looks like it is chrome.
Asides from the fact the SW builds are pretty mediocre (like usual), the figures are just amazing. Those figures are practically UCS level minifigures and the main factor driving this wave. Can't wait to get those figures. The parts from the sets seem pretty good too for MOC's

This set is like a combination of 42043 and 42070.
Watch all the Star Wars sets be 30 cents per piece . . .
The Slave 1 looks awesome, as well as the whole Clone Wars lineup (not so much a fan of the new " the Mandalorian" sets, but oh well). Finally pneumatics again, hell yeah! Couldn't care less about the useless app controlled truck. Not sure why city has had so many stunt shows over the years, but at least we got Rocket Racer.
After I read the title, I was hyped for the Technic advent calendar.. Shame they didn't made one yet.

I grew up around these rigs, my family had a company that did truck towing and wrecks. We had traditional wrecker/cranes like this and a couple rotators. Would be cool to see a technic truck wrecker with a rotator.
And you're right, some companies would spend thousands of dollars on outlandish graphics on their trucks. So the stickers on the hood and sleeper are what I'd expect to see in real life.
You gotta love how the Star Wars advent calendar is usually a year or so behind on content.
The City Stuntz sets look interesting, garish but interesting.

These sets actually are decent. I try to avoid buying too many themes, but I may have to dabble in SW for once.
The AC with multiple themes this year will be a bit pricey. I hope for a sale.

It wouldn’t take much attention to detail or care - but this is LEGO Star Wars in 2021: even when they put out a stellar set line up, they’re too lazy to execute the minifigures properly. Sigh."
I completely agree with everything you said; I was thinking the same things. It's as if they care less and less every year.
yah! with the stunt set we finally get some yellow John Deere rims and tyres with proper tractor tread. What my MOC's have been waiting for :)
And the motor bikes will look cool in my Motorbke Shop MOC. ;)
Curious to see how well those motors perform. That's not a lot of space to work with.
Yay, much love for Cara Dune.
Hope they bring Gina back on the show - she’s awesome!

"Gotta say, this is one of the worst Star Wars waves in years!
Even the obligatory grey triangle ship is based on something we haven't seen before."
Haha, comment of the day!
Ok, so 42128 is $150 and 42129, for the same amount of pieces, is $300? Boy! This Control+ is expensive as hell!
So as of now my 2021 Advent Calendar purchases will be:
Harry Potter & Star Wars - definitely
Marvel - maybe
City & Friends - highly unlikely
i like the technic...
the 11x1 long cylinders are in that truck...
the only place to get them right now is the 42043 arocs

Star Wars is forever, there is no behind. Only always.
Oh wow, Lego Japan coming through with the news for once. As a Lego fan in Japan usually the first I hear about new sets is stumbling across a set on Amazon or Rakuten already sold out and then the Lego JP Twitter tweeting about the release 2 days late lol. So many awesome Star Wars sets... this summer is brutal on my wallet...
@MainBricker:
Nah, Disney’s not like that. They don’t care what color you vote. Like a career politician, they only care how much money you want to give them. So, for stuff like this, they just stand there with their gladius at your neck, waiting for Twittius Caesar to decide your fate. If Twitter forgives your transgressions, Disney will hire you back, no problem.
However, they fired Carano, but they can’t exactly remove her from the show without spending a bunch of money. She’s still part of the license, and already had a minifig approved. Even if they refuse to approve a new design, the old one is probably fair game. Hasbro said they weren’t making any more action figures (which is not true, because I’ve seen a new multipack of their Mission Fleet like that includes her). The LEGO Company doesn’t normally weigh in on political stuff, because their main concern is that kids get to grow up before we put them in bellhop uniforms and expect them to carry all of our adult baggage for us. Mattel didn’t jump in on this either, that I recall, and I recently saw a Cara Dune character car from their Hot Wheels line.
But for Disney, remember that this is the company that tasked someone with “managing” John Lassiter at company parties until his behavior went public, and then he was quickly exited from the company. They also kept Joss Whedon on staff, and given that the producers on Buffy had to establish a rule that he couldn’t be in a room alone with Buffy’s kid sister, I can’t imagine his behavior was much of a secret to any of the major studio heads across town. He rather gracefully walked away from every project he had in the works after people started shoveling skeletons out of his closet, which feels like an “asked to leave, but without making a scene” situation. And they were aware of Gunn’s tweets before they ever hired them, but only fired him when it blew up all over the internet. Things calmed down, cast threatened to walk, and suddenly he was back in the fold. The thing is, I’ve seen the PG-13 list of his tweets, and I’ve seen the list that even Deadpool wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole, and if the full list hadn’t been too offensive to include, unedited, in all the articles that were written about him, I don’t think Twitter would have forgiven him. Then it would just be a question if whether any of the cast was willing to risk their careers by stepping to his side of the line. If they had, I suspect Disney would have had to call their bluff, for risk of alienating all the Marvel viewers.
Hopefully 75319 is the rumored Mandalorian forge with Paz Vizsla and the Armorer.

This man has won all the awards, the Academy, the Globes, the Grammys, give it to him now and close the internet forever; the work is done.
@Snaz:
Thanos? Nah, clearly that's just an overdressed Neptunian. Normally they wear little elf outfits with breezy short-shorts. This is kind of a weird look for them...
OK overall I'm very happy with this wave, I love the set and minifigure selection and their designs. But I have a few small gripes.
The Slave I is nice at a smaller scale but it does not look like it's worth €/$ 50. It is tiny. It could have included another minifigure, since the repeat Mando is a bit of a shame. The Darksaber is once again underwhelming, it's the same black stick design as 2012. Maybe recolor that short katana piece from Ninjago to black and put it in a gunmetal hilt.
The Light Cruiser could have included some crew members, Stormtroopers or more Dark Troopers. Maybe they should've put Fennec in the Slave I. Cara Dune's skin color is still too dark, though I'm glad she still has a figure in new production runs.
Ahsoka could've used a new headpiece instead of the Shaak Ti or Rebels Ahsoka piece, and Maul obviously should've used the new longer hilt piece. The Mandalore throne room looks a lot smaller and more plain then I imagined, not worth more than €15.
Other than that it's fantastic. I hope there'll be more TCW S7 sets and more ways to obtain the 332nd troopers.
Why were they so behind the eight ball on Mando? It was an eternity before even one set was released, and we're many months even from the end of season 2 where a real wave is happening. Were they that concerned Mando wouldn't hit>
Most of the CITY Stuntz sets have been absolutely ruined... If anyone's seen the original preliminary leaked images, they'll know what I mean. So, SO disappointed.
@Zander:
There’s a cab company around here that’s called “City Cab”, but they used a faux-Asian font to put their name on the cars. All I can think of when I see them is the “City Wok” episode of South Park.
@Zordboy:
What would you do? Ignore it and hope it leaves in a dejected huff?
@vzarmo:
Clearly you’ve never met people. More specifically, you’ve never met people from India, the US, or Russia (top three nations for death-by-selfie).
@Kiiranaux:
On a guess, the Monkie-bar.
All I’ve wanted for years now is a decent Mando line and some more Clone Wars (especially season 7 and the Bad Batch), and now all of this is being released in August, which just so happens to be my birthday! I don’t remember ever giving Lego permission to use my browsing history to plan their Star Wars releases. Perhaps I need to sue Lego for misusing my data, and then we could settle outside of court for all of these sets. Has anyone else ever tried this when Lego releases too many awesome sets?

"really interested in seeing the cloud city Slave I and the Mando Slave I next to each other"
I was just comparing my Cloud City Slave I to this picture and this one appears to be slightly larger. The wings are one stud longer and it appears to be a few studs taller as well. However, the cockpit is identical. The main difference really is the shape. The Cloud City version uses all rounded bricks, where this one is very angular.
It’s hard to say which one is better when I can only see a single angle of this new one (keep in mind that Cloud City is capable of carrying Han in carbonite on its back). However, I simply don’t see myself purchasing this new one as there really isn’t enough of a difference between the two. I can’t imagine this one could feature any kind of an interior, which would be the only reason for me to want to purchase a third Slave I as I also have Jango’s.
@alfred_the_buttler:
What year did all the LEGO Batman Movie sets hit?
I'm excited about the Star Wars sets!
For those wondering why Luke isn't there: it would just be a spoiler. When watching the penultimate episode of Season 2, did you expect it? No. Exactly. As for the dark soldier, this is one because Din Djarin fought only one. He sent the rest into the void from which they returned, and defeated them by Luke, who is rightly not here.
If they pressed a Grogu and Fennec figures in Slave I, I would have to have it. But I'll probably take it anyway.
Interestingly, in the Advent calendar we have a playpen for Grogu! I'm surprised no one noticed it.
One technic set pneumatic, one Control+....
are Lego testing which one is favoured?

All of those Caras are either part of a multipack or a case assortment, all releasing mere weeks after or before the firing, meaning to take her out at that stage of production would necessitate repackaging everything or opening a case of action figures/hot wheels and replace the Caras with something else which might be against contracts with the retailers.
The one toy they were able to cancel because it wasn't tied up in already produced multipacks or case assortment was the first Black Series Cara Dune, then again she was at the end of her production cycle anyway.
Instagram says production of SW summer sets started in May. No idea about the process 3 months before entering production but I assume they could have removed Cara and might still change the set. Just like how Thor in the new Guardians ship has no flesh arms but has them on all product shots they could still do late changes. Or how there have been pics of the 2002 Cloud Car and LAAT with yellow Lando and Mace figures.
Would be cool to have a micro-scale x-wing included with Moff Gideon's cruiser.

Just checking, that's sarcasm right? :P My sarcasm radar is not functioning well today :P
I do agree with you, this is the most refreshing Star Wars in a long time :)
Definitely in on the Slave 1, but... Dang, are we never going to get Jango's?
Wouldn't mind Lego doing something similar to what they did with the Venom/Carnage bust. Just recolor this Slave 1 in Jango colors and release it as an exclusive.
With the Scout Trooper and IG-11 available now in the holiday set, that makes a Greef Karga variant the only exclusive from The Razor Crest set.
Everyone else is paying attention to Star Wars, but I'm just super excited about Rocket Racer finally getting a physical minifigure after 22 years! (Yes, I'm aware of the Race Car Guy, but this one is a much closer match to the original LEGO Racers design.) While I have no interest in the other Stuntz sets, I'll inevitably be purchasing 60298 - I'm glad to see that LEGO is releasing these individual motorbikes as impulse sets.

"Hope they make a trans-black bar for the darksaber. I feel like the solid black doesn't really work that well for the darksaber."
The best way would probably be to make a white or glow in the dark blade and then print some kind of pattern on it in black but that probably isn't possible.

The Black Katana piece from the LEGO movie 2 set with Batman and metal beard is what I have in my custom Moff Gideon figure. It works pretty perfect, especially since the live action Darksaber hilt is a lot darker and rounded than the Rebels and clone wars variants.
I wonder why they didn't translate "Pneumatic Functions." Those are pretty complicated words for a non English reader, Pneumatic is like a 7th grade level word.
@Anonym :
All I know is, both items only showed up locally in the last couple weeks. She was fired in February. Maybe this was just leftover product that was in the pipeline and just needed to work its way toward a store shelf. Maybe someone behind the scenes put a hold on these products until things could calm down a bit. Or maybe they're still producing these. But again, Hasbro is the only company I know of that stated they would stop producing toys based on the character. I haven't seen any such statements from Mattel or The LEGO Company. TLC recalled all of the Osprey sets on the eve of release. They also subbed in a brand new minifig at the 11th hour for a Disney Wars set that was due to retire. If they felt strongly that Cara Dune should not be included in any future sets, I could see that the timing might result in early marketing material that included her slipping through the cracks. If she's still included in the set when it's released, though, it'll be because they chose to not remove her. So, we'll see, I guess.
I am intrigued that one of the Stuntz bike riders appears to be wearing a chicken-head helmet.

One X-Wing? Great, we're saved...
hahaha
I'm Gonna Pick up Dual on Mandalore with Darth Maul and Ahsoka but it's about time we Got Moff Gideons ship and A Dark Trooper..
Got two of the Marvel ones from that page at the bottom but I am impressed with the City stunt range, I'll do a parts order on B&P from this..
