Review: 79110 Silver Mine Shootout, part 1

79110 Silver Mine Shootout is the second largest Lone Ranger set which comes with 5 minifigs.
I'll therefore review it in two parts.
Part 1 covers the minifigs, and part 2, which I'll write later on once I've built the set, will cover the rest.
Bucking the recent trend of scattering the minifigs across all bags in the set to discourage pilfering from toy stores, all five are in bag one.
Tonto
The Tonto in this set is slightly different to that in other sets. He has 'dirt' on his legs, torso and face, and his mouth is turned down slightly.
The Lone Ranger
The Lone Ranger also has a dirty face and suit, and a different facial expression. I've added a
Chief Big Bear
Exclusive to this set is this native American Chief Big Bear who's sporting a very nice hairpiece. He has a double-sided head.
Butch Cavendish
Butch looks like a nasty piece of work! His hair and hat are one piece, like the ones on some PotC minifigs.
Kyle
Finally, we have Kyle, sporting a rather tatty suit, is probably also a baddie.
Another very nicely detailed set of minifigs, then. Now on to building the actual set...

Huw, can you please show us Kyle's suit without the scarf? I think it would make a great Civil War Confederate Soldier to counter the Union soldiers you showed us earlier. Just pop on some light bluish gray pants, a dark bluish gray Kepi cap (like the Union soliders wear), or even an older Light Gray cowboy hat / this one

On the Lone Ranger, it has sort of comic book style white on his torso and legs. I am not the biggest fan of this. I wonder if it looked worse as 1 solid color but overall I have seen a dramatic amount of improvement of quality of lego minifigs so in the end, I am just being picky. Great review!
Anyone else wonder how some friends prices would look on tonto :P

These Minifigures look excellent, I fear this will become another theme to be collected which I had not originally planned to, joining TMNT and Galaxy Squad on that list...
It's the good Native Americans vs the evil cowboys it seems.
That handkerchief is supposed to be the other way around.
^ No it's not, look at the images on the box art in part 2. It can be used the other way round like on the Emerald Night train driver.
