Where are Bandmates Series 2 available?
Posted by CapnRex101,
Rumours and confusion surrounding the release of 43108 Bandmates Series 2 have prolonged issues encountered by VIDIYO, unfortunately.
Despite LEGO's bewildering reticence to reveal whether this series would be released, they are indeed available, albeit only from LEGO.com and LEGO brand stores.
However, that availability appears inconsistent. These are available on LEGO.com and in LEGO stores across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, but remain listed as 'coming soon' in North America. Presumably they have not been released in North American LEGO stores yet either, but we await further information about that.
Have you purchased any Series 2 Bandmates today? Let us know in the comments.

I just want to see the slime head reused for a minifigure of Clayface in a Batman set soon
I'll be fully vaccinated this weekend, so I'm going to scout our stores to see if any are carrying them and report back.
So the only way to buy these will be from lego directly. Can we confirm that they will not be sold at Target , Walmart, etc?
I only really want the robot and the vampire, which doesn't really mesh with the whole 'blind box' concept, unfortunately.
Available to order from lego.com in Norway... Limit 20 pcs
In the Morning I have placed my order.
Unfortunately it doesn't buy the whole box.
Maximum 20 pieces. And I would like to have the complete series .... will they be enough?
In Italy, the shops do not know if they will be available.
They're listed on the Smyths Ireland and UK websites but not the German, Austrian or Swiss versions of the site. They show as Out of Stock though:

I was going to randomly throw a couple on my order this morning but since they're still "coming soon" we'll see if I'm still interested the next time I'm in a store or place an order.
Another oddity - in the U.S. set 40494 Polar Bear and Gift Pack also shows as coming soon
For both 43108 Bandmates 2 and 40494 Polar Bear and Gift Pack - neither of the "coming soon" notes include a specified date, either. As in, they're "coming soon" but LEGO won't say when.
It's a little frustrating, especially with so much uncertainty around the 43108 minfigs availability. I've been interested in these minifigs since they were revealed so it will be annoying if it turns out that these LEGO missteps prevent me from collecting them. But not the end of the world of course!

According to the LEGO Ambassador Network, they will be available exclusively from LEGO directly. However, I have also seen people discuss their possible release at Walmart so the situation remains confusing.
No I haven't purchased any, but I came very close to buying 12 packs from Lego.com in the UK today.
Two things stopped me:
1. The price. Despite being a pretty big fan of Vidiyo and really liking S2, I think £4 for a minifigure and three Beatbits is too much. £48 for 12 minifigures. People packs with more figures and more bricks cost a lot less, so the pricing doesn't work for anyone who just wants a full set.
2. The randomness. I'd like to hope that me buying 12 from Lego.com would tell them I want one of each, so they'd pick me one side of a fresh carton. But, there's a big risk they wouldn't pick them that way, and we don't yet know if the box distribution is set as it was for S1. No way would I risk paying £48 for 12 minifigures when half or more of them could be duplicates.
As of right now I am two Beat Boxes and a set of S2 Bandmates short of 'completing' the Vidiyo product line. This is the first time I've wanted an entire theme, but it's only been made possible by heavy, heavy discounting such as £5-8 per Beatbox (RRP £18), £2 per Bandmate (RRP £4), £35 for the Boombox (RRP £90) etc.
@LegoSonicBoy they are definitely not available
I'll be at my LBS in about two hours for the new releases. I'll have to check if they've received them!
This whole ordeal is probably more entertaining that the sets themselves, very ironic.

It's possible they might be selling them in Smyths in Ireland and the Uk. I've included links in a comment earlier.
I've been to a Walmart, Toys R Us, and a local game store to check if they had them. None received any. However the local game store tells me it's in their system, and are potentially waiting for them to arrive.
On another note, I went to Walmart at opening time and they already had stickers "Out of Stock" on a ton of the new Stuntz items, meaning they didn't even receive any. I think there's a global distribution issue in North America right now, and Vidiyo might be part of it.
I really hope it's not true that they're only available online. That would be a huge pain, and will force people onto the secondary market where scalping/speculating prices will dominate...
Lego.com Live Chat in the UK didn't have any definitive info (I didn't expect they would to be fair to them).
In answer to my question about availability at UK Lego retail and general retail:
"These should be available in the UK but we don't have any word on a launch or any plans at the moment so I again, really cant say for sure but I am hoping they release in the UK as well as the US as I would love to get a few of these for my family."
They also didn't know about box distribution, randomness nor if any new random Beatbits were included.
Ugh, if they're exclusive to LEGO stores, then I'll have to pass on that awesome vampire. Not going to pay full price for the gambling, and the prices on the secondary market are very likely to be too high for my taste, too.
Talked to the manager of my local Smyths. He said theres nothing on there computers about them coming into stock anytime soon despite them being listed on the website. Said as well what items they have got in from this years wave aren't getting restocked after they sell whats on the shelves.
Still coming soon as of 10:10 AM PDT.

Wow, that's a great deal for the Boombox, where did you manage to find that?

That one was Best Offer new unopened on eBay, and I bought a second new but with no figs or beat bits for £11.51. I think word has got around that the app is unpopular, sales are bad, and TLG has 'paused' the theme...
Smyths has the Boombox for £50 at the mo, which is the best regular 'off the shelf' price I've seen.
I just want the Pirate lady so I can have a complete band. These Bandmates packs were a terrible idea.
After the debacle of Series 1, I think it's safe to assume most stores won't want to give them shelf space
We picked some up this morning at our local lego store, like with S1, buying all of one side of the box gave you the full run. They’re lovely, and keeping in mind it’s £3.50 for the CMFs, I’m liking what the extra 50p gets. It’s going to be a very impressive record store MOC when we get around to it!
I bought a full set today at my local LEGO Store after reading that some cities started running out of stock on them. With the uncertainty if they will ever come back or preferable to retail, I was willing to pay the full price this one time. The figures are awesome, especially that vampire metal player gal.
Maybe the box production label can give an indication why US market was not among the lucky ones. Mine says week 22-23 of 2021 packed in Kladno. I think TLG would have had enough time to ship them oversees from beginning of June if they wanted to. Guess it's not worth any more cause the theme flopped big time. Fingers crossed my hunch is wrong.
Just called my local store (U.S.) - they didn't get Bandmates series 2, but they do have the Polar Bear & Gift Pack (40494) - three of those left with an hour left open today.
All just FYI (obviously) but if you live near a store you might have better luck in person than online.
I'm waiting on Bandmates series 2 before I do the 2 hour round-trip!
"These are available on LEGO.com and in LEGO stores across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region..."
I've heard that they're not going to be available in Australia at all.
I ordered 20 Series 2 Bandmates from LEGO.com. I’m not expecting a full set of 12 different minifigs but it would be nice if that was the case. On balance it seemed better to go with that approach and fill a couple of gaps maybe with BrickLink later, as that won’t be such a burden as finding the whole series through the secondary market.
Sorry that there’s some weirdness about the release in USA and other regions as there’s clearly some fans out that that do like the minifigs. Considering the price of CMFs these are actually pretty good value - as well as the minifig you get a snot brick, 2x6 plate and 3 printed tiles so £4 seems like pretty good value.

They seem to be available on LEGO.com Australia currently, but maybe the Bandmates have not been released in Australian LEGO Certified Stores.
They were not available at either of the 2 LEGO stores I was in yesterday and there was no information suggesting they will be (but then again, both stores were still waiting on new stock including the Marvel CMFs, the dark red pickup truck, the batman TV series cowl and others)
I am considering doing a Bricks & Pieces order at some point on LEGO online so when I do that I may well throw a bunch of these into the cart as well and hope I get the ones I want like the vampire :)

Did the same (in Australia), really hoping for a full set as it seems that that’s the only way to purchase them here.
Manchester had them in but despite a limit of 20 online at Lego.com the store would only sell up to 12. Happily I got 6 different ones… and then frustratingly the same 6 duplicated… ?????
I've ordered a bunch of them from the online store in France. Hope they arrive soon. LOVE them.
I'd order some, especially since I like the S2 lineup better than S1. But last time I ordered four from S1, three of them were all the same, so I'm far more tempted to just wait until they start popping up on Bricklink, assuming the prices there aren't extra inflated due to their rarity.
Tis a shame. They do these blind box collectibles with the marketing premise of "you need to buy more to collect them all" and then they make it extra difficult to even do that, with lot limits and exclusivity and such. The original CMFs started with the same issues but they upped their availability. But maybe they've just oversaturated the market with "random fig packs" now so there's not enough demand for this. Will be interesting to see what comes of this.
I need that Vampire Bassist. Everything about that figure is awesome!

Bought 12 from a box in LEGO Store Milton Keynes (11 from left-side + 1 random from right as front 2 had already been sold) and looks like it is a full set on each side of the box.
