Collectable Minifigures - Now available direct from LEGO
Posted by bluemoose,
The collectable Minifigures are now available through LEGO's on-line Shop, throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately they are still not available to US & Canadian Lego fans.
We've also been told that they are finally available from the Brand Stores in the UK, although we've heard that there may be some rationing due to demand. Please post your experiences & let us know how you get on!

Here in Edinburgh there's unfortunately no LEGO store, but a certain mister WH Smith has plenty. Unfortunately they keep them behind the counter so there's not much opportunity to check barcodes if you're looking for something in particular. I bought my first two yesterday and they turned out to have the same barcode, but the store let me swap one of them for another bag.
No rationing at Bluewater this morning they had three boxes out on the counter, though I don't know how much they've recieved in total.
The Bluewater Lego Store has them in stock. But they will only let you have 30 max.
A max of 30 per customer was what we'd heard too, from Milton Keynes; thanks for confirming.
32 Per customer. I have been told by mangment
And we have loads left in Milton Keynes
glad we can buy it from LEGO.com
If we cold buy the whole case then it really wouldn't be collectible minifigures
I've also seen that they're selling a minifig collectors case online, but it only holds 15 figs. It's 1 short of of being able to hold the full 16 of series one
@BrickBob09 It think this case is for the vintage minifigs.
The minifigs aren`t in the stores i have seen.
But they are on Lego Shop (yahoo!)
So i bought 7 of them... by now.
Now Way I'm Buying Online. I'd Perfer to Feel/Compare Barcodes So I Know What I'm Getting.
Awesome! I can't wait until they're available in the US!
Hey, does anyone know what stores they're going to be available at in the US? Like, are they going to be available only at Toys R Us, or are they going to be at some of the cheaper places like Wal-Mart?
They are plenty for sale in Bricklink
I originally thought I might buy them online, but I am pretty positive I will buy them in the store once they come out in the U.S. since I can feel the figures and compare the barcodes, as Crt2 has said. I would recommend this to other collectors who don't want to use up too much money since there are so many other great sets coming out this summer!
Just to state the slightly obvious maybe, but if anyone does find they have duplicates in their online order (checking the barcodes before opening them), keep those duplicates sealed for trading. More people will trade for a sealed fig than an open one. And if anybody is looking to trade figs, contact me via my profile as i have most of a set (and more) spare.
I was at the Lego Store in Portland earlier this week the in store calender flier says June 21 for US release, they also said they would be getting several master cases of them since they're the only factory store for hundreds of miles
anybody got any spare cheerleaders, my daughter wants to collect a squad of them
Calendar is here: http://cache.lego.com/upload/contentTemplating/StoresEvents/otherfiles/1033/download7B92A3916D9626689F789A89731C444C.pdf Don't trust those kind of dates on the calendar! It's just a suggestion and previously items have been on the shelf before the suggested dates. The folks at my local LEGO shop said they could put them out no earlier than June 1, and implied they already had them ins the store.
Ahhh another hit to the credit card... the only problem with that was the minimum $40 shipping charge to AU so I ordered 80 figs to break the cost down... Hopefully I'll get a couple sealed retail display boxes. It's a pity the space shuttle wasn't up for preorder too so I could save another shipping fee for that too...
Yes! Finally! I can't get them anywhere so I will now get them online!
Picked up a complete series 1 set yesterday and today. I'm glad I had the code list with me.
Personally I think it's too difficult to feel all the figs through the bag. Tried it at home.
No complains about quality here as I heard it in other forums.
Can't wait to get series 2.
@ MasterOfPuzzles - Thanks for the calendar. If those dates are close to correct, I can put that on my own calendar! Good luck getting all the figs before they run out in U.S. stores. Luckily, I have a U.S. store fairly close to my house, but still at least half an hour away.
