2022 LEGO DC Character Encyclopedia exclusive minifigure revealed!
Posted by CapnRex101,
DK Books has revealed the full cover for their upcoming DC Super Heroes Character Encyclopedia, thus showing the exclusive minifigure too.
The book will include Val-Zod, Superman from Earth-2. This character has never appeared in LEGO before and looks great, sporting his distinctive blue and white garb.
This updated DC Super Heroes Character Encyclopedia will be released during May, 2022.
Thanks to BricksFanz for the news.

...why hasn't that hair piece been used for Finn, Falcon, or any number of other figures with a high and tight haircut?
At first I thought batman was the exclusive figure and was so disappointed. But this is actually pretty cool

It was just made for falcon in the CMF series I believe.
Very cool! Hopefully the speculation of a Klarion the Witch Boy minifigure will manifest in a set later this year.

Yes it is new, but another reason I think they might shy away from using it a lot is they tend to generally go with double sided faces to give an option of expressions and that's incompatible with this hairpiece as the back face would be visible.
Pretty solid choice for a book figure! Nice that it isn’t just another Green Lantern member.
Although, the last SW encyclopedia was very poor in my opinion. Specifically because it was outright missing some characters (such as Jabba). I don’t think I’ll be picking up another one anytime soon,
Awesome. I’m looking forward to it. @PixelTheDragon: As far as a GL, I still want a Hal Jordan, but I understand what you mean.

We have gotten a Hal Jordan Green Lantern Minifigure already.
Nice! Still would prefer a Ronnie Raymond Firestorm though.
If we're getting a new Green Lantern, we need either Guy Gardner or Alan Scott.
I don't think this guy is connected to the mainstream Justice League but maaaaan do I want to add him to my collection! Currently have all members at least once except Shazam (they really need to rerelease him) and both figs from those weird cube gift boxes they once had (Lightning Lad and Superboy). We'll see.
Only problem is that they used the junior-style cape again that doesn't even lie flat on the figure.
Super-cool and unexpected - which makes it even better. The geek squad on YouTube had 'definitely' worked out that Klarion or Guy Gardiner Green Lantern would be the minifigure pack-in. Lol.
It is a nice figure.
But Kyle Rayner or bust, Lego. I'm not asking too much.
@KoolKreeper489:
Technically two versions, if you count the Ryan Reynolds GL.
@ResIpsaLoquitur:
Kyle Rayner, or one of the aliens from another sector.
@mr_Fikou:
I was able to locate a small stack of whatever DVD had the Captain Marvel polybag as a bonus item, and just bought the lot of them. The minifig sells for more than the DVD cost, and I already used one to make a vignette of Billy Batson transforming into him. I got lucky that one of the Super Mario blind bags on store shelves at the time had a bunch of lightning pieces.

The Shazam DVD + minifig is currently available from Amazon for $11:

If they do the Val-Zod film as it has been rumored then this figure will become even more valuable... although they'll probably just make sets for the movie with a similar Minifigure. :P

Guy Gardiner would’ve been very appreciated. I’ve been waiting for a Guy minifig for years.

Don't forget the Comic con exclusive Shazam minifigure.
Hmmm...thought the Earth-2 Supes was a grown-up Conner Kent/Con El (w/Bats being Dick Grayson and Wondy being Donna Troy...)...wonder when that changed...probably 'Rebirth'...? Also, I though Klarion the Witch Boy was suppose to be the figure...did we just get 'swerved'? Still looking forward to the book...although...
Re: Kyle Rayner: it's too bad the Marvel-Mechs are on hold, because if TLG did DC one, Kyle would be a natural for it (as he was always making mechs w/his ring).
There's Earth 2, Earth-2, Earth-Two and several Earth-2s from the DC Television Universe. This one is from "Earth 2". I wish i was kidding.
