110 years ago today, people were waking up to the news that RMS Titanic had sunk after hitting an iceberg in the North Atlantic.

Take a look as my friend Richard Miller, from Brickscene, and I take another review of this set on the 110th anniversary of the tragic sinking.

Brickscene

Richard Miller hosts a range of reviews and live-streaming podcasts from his YouTube channel: Brickscene.

Filmed on the 110th anniversary of RMS Titanic's departure from Southampton bound for New York on her maiden voyage, Richard and I take another look at LEGOs Titanic set.

Saw the title of the article, and by whom it was posted, and readied myself for reading a next-level technical dive into the nautical minutiae of LEGO's Titanic in FlagNZ's inimitable style...

Any chance we could see it 'sailing' next to your cruise boat?

Hello! Great review! I wonder why this model you show has some extra flags, the triangular shaped ones with the white star and the royal mail. My set didn't have it, neither the part inventory on LEGO.com nor brickset or bricklink. Where do you have those flags? Thank you!

That's weird, because I feel like we've already gotten a review from @FlagsNZ. The official Brickset review was written by Huw though, so maybe I'm misremembering?

The additional flags were purchased from here:

There are also some printed tiles available from the same site.

You're right: I wrote this Nautical review of RMS Titanic in October 2021 - https://brickset.com/article/65143

The purpose of this collaborative YouTube review was to acknowledge the 110th anniversary of the tragic event that unfolded out on the North Atlantic in 1912.

@fprstudio : Well, considering his username, you should expect some extra flags...

Edit: Just watched the review, which again made me sad that I don't have the space for this thing. Interesting that it's the same scale as 21042, which makes one wonder what could have been...

I thought this set came out a year ago— did it and we just haven’t gotten someone to review it? (Edit: Oh, it’s a video review :P) The set looks like it’s worth it’s weight in gold but, as usual for display-type set, it’s outside of my budget and much of my interest. That being said, a LEGO set based on a real tragedy is honestly a cool idea, I wonder if we’ll get any more of these in the future, although I’m sure it’ll just be limited to natural disasters so as to avoid war and stuff like the Auschwitz custom that LEGO accidentally funded.
