67 million is a pretty big pile.
As a finishing piece for 1x1 round bricks, this can’t be beat.
I'm not going to lie... as USEFUL as this part is, I kind of don't like it. Something about making a tile that small that round bothers me--which is articulating it poorly, because I have no problem with the 1x1 round plate.
It is entirely possible this is a complaint about what this tile has replaced: classic coins! And also the fact that there apparently hasn't been a set in over ten years with a 1x1 trans-dark blue SQUARE tile.
Anyway... disgruntled or not, there's no denying these are everywhere and here to stay.
I was shocked by how long it took them to make this part, and remember jumping for joy when it was first revealed!
That said, it came out all the way back in 2014! It's eight years old and still feels brand spanking new
Add in all the spares, and we could have more than 70 million!

And then all the other parts numbers like https://brickset.com/parts/design-98138 used at the same time.

I believe 98138 was the first iteration of the 1x1 round tile. It debuted in a holiday set in 2011 but didn't see widespread use until 2012.
See LEGO calls this one a tile, not a plate. Grr.

I haven't bought a set in over 10 years. When I read through instruction manuals of newer sets (it's a lot cheaper!) I'm always amazed at how many parts there are that weren't around in 2011; a lot of them are tiles.
I'm gonna say something. Might be controversial... that piece looks absolutely delicious. Like a micro cake.
@Zoniax:
It looks like it’s made of wood and painted gold. You might break a tooth.
