By in Malta,

The biggest Black Panther: Wakanda Forever set is $90 instead of the rumored $80. $90 for 545 pieces, 5 mediocre minifigures, and a huge ship with barely any exterior detailing and a tiny jail cell for an interior. What is wrong with LEGO?

I was excited for these Black Panther sets even with the price increases, but I can't justify paying that much for so little. Looks like I'll be skipping the wave until I can get the sets for at least 10-20% off.

By in Netherlands,

Just bought a second copy of 21324 (soon to be retired) to build the rebrickable modular sesamestreet corner building. Added a fun little cheap set for my son to get over the 120 eur mark and got both the Halloween pack and ray the castaway

Excellent... Robinson Crusoe on his way in his Corvette. With luck he'll get some company travelling on Monday by tram.

Yeah got The Office and Ray the Castaway this morning at 1am CEST :-) Didn't want to take any risk!

I want Avatar sets, but these prices are killing me. 220zl for set that is clearly 170zl range? lmao, no.

"Unfortunately sets like the Xmas High Street are pointlessly unavailable to pre-order until the 3rd. Who knows if GWPs will last out that long?"

The Christmas Tree and other Christmas sets may not be around until the third either considering how quickly the wreath and Santa and his reindeer sets sold out very quickly the last two years.

By in Australia,

Whoever is setting the pricing has well and truly lost their goddamn mind (not that they were especially sane to begin with...)

I dont understand why if I pre-order that I don’t qualify for the gift with purchase. Pretty lame. I shouldn’t have to order a second office set and return the first one to get the castaway.

Success here in the USA! Ordered myself the 76218 Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum, got the VIP spooky accessories and WILSON!

Placed an order for the Christmas Tree, Ornament set and a few other miscellaneous items that were on my wishlist just after midnight to be sure I get Ray & the VIP pack. Currently at DisneyWorld and they don't know when their stock will be arriving due to Hurricane Ian. They are hoping by Sunday but don't know for sure. Hoping they get something interesting in so I can at least grab another VIP pack before I head home on Wednesday. Also hoping the GWP's last through the Christmas Village release on the 3rd.

None of the new sets interest me (or are way too big) except the Christmas tree. I grabbed that and the Tallneck for the GWP.

I think all of these new sets except for the office are going to be some big time shelf warmers. They either are terrible value or they are very niche properties. (Or in most cases, both.) It brings to mind when Costco had the 60$ Eternals set for 12.99 and still they sat there.

I used my vip points to get The Office cheaper and got the castaway and Halloween vip pack for free. Not too bad of a deal for me :)

I was actually excited for Black Panther: War on the Water, but $90 is insane. Like, not even in the realm of consideration even with 20% off insane.

By in United States,

Ordered the ninjago captain Nemo sub, used vip points for 20.00 off and got three GWP, not bad.. .for a change

You would have gotten any GWP in the period you preordered, thats how LEGO works

This is what ive been waiting for. I slept on the pirate treasure like a fool. I actually just went with a pick-a-brick order to snag some unique parts to play with. Sparked solely by part 6122207 the pumpkin mask. Very excited :D

By in Australia,

I found the new Black Panther sets in my local K-mart earlier in the week. The set with Namor's throne actually wasn't as bad, price-wise, as I feared it might be (but K-mart is the best place to buy Lego in Australia) so I grabbed it straight away.

While the Avatar sets are nice, I feel like there's a big chance that -- like the Eternals sets -- they won't sell, so eventually the shops will clearance them out at really good prices, so it's just a waiting game.

I really DGAF about any Avatar without bending, but these sets are real pretty. I highkey wished these were Lego Elves sets, I mean, they're basically Space Elves, right?

"Dances with Wolves in space" is more like it, IMO.

The first one was, I don't think there was ever a Dances With Wolves II for this one to copy lol

Don't even say it... Hollywood might hear you and actually make it!
