Random minifig of the day: sw1244
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random minifigure is sw1244 Kuiil - Backpack, a Star Wars figure that came in a set that was released during 2022.
Our members collectively own a total of 2,094 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $57.00.

I will echo and expand the comment I made in the second part of 75331's review and say that I hope the blurrg and this guy become available for cheaper. I have spoken.
Lol imagine if Mr Gold was next...
Random minifgure of the day is already better than random part/set of the day and it’s only on day 4. I have spoken.
This is the way.

I bet they wished they hadn't written him the way they did, now. On the other hand, IG-11 had a reboot and nearly a second, so who knows. "No one's ever really gone..."
Fifty seven dollars!! People are nuts!
A *Kuiil - Backpack* walks into a bar and the Bartender asks "why the long face?"
Ug, naught another licensed minifig…
I kid, I kid, but that was the only way I could think of to work that joke in. And it demanded to be made.
Kuiil was such a great character. He deserved better. I appreciated that they made him look a bit like Nick Nolte even though he was performed by Misty Rosas. Maybe one day she'll get a figure that's all her own: Frog Lady. Well, okay, her voice was done by Dee Bradley Baker, but that was a given. Frog Lady's still super memorable and she'd make a great background figure for anyone making displays. Make haste LEGO, for the window of relevance is quickly closing. I have spoken.
Just one more reason why I hate minifigure exclusivity.
I have spoken.
Imagine being so sad that your jowls melt.
*Obligatory "This is the way" and "I have spoken" comment*
is it just me, or is the Mandalorian full of characters who could pass for lazy parents.
child: but why can't i go?
parent: because i said so (translation - This is the way / I have spoken)
Huwbot has spoken.
Roses are red
The Razorcrest’s broken
Ride a blurrg to the Jawas?

Yep, he's more Dopey Dog than Ugnaught.
Nevertheless, at least we got something. Why does it always seem that we must rationalize this way regarding Lego graphic design? They really need to step up their game to match the model designers.
Although, to be fair, it's usually color-matching prints and stickers rather than piece design.
No way this will stay exclusive. This mould has to pay off! Hence Blurrg v. Sandcrawler microfighters in 2024.
Blurrg v Sandcrawler would be a fantastic Microfighters set and follow the tradition of an animal and a vehicle in the 2 pack.
I remember when the figure leaked and everyone said it looked really bad, but in HD it actually looks really good
Still looks weird to me. His eyes should have been further down, closer to the middle of his head. I also think they should have used a more orangey nougat colour rather than the flesh nougat. His skin is quite orange in the show.
2061 Members have got the UCS Razor Crest, so 33 minifigs are loose among other brickset users, so at least there are 33 UCS Razor Crest in the hands of not brickset users that have sold their Kuill minifig. Interesting…
This guy kuiils it. A Star Wars Odyssey. Also sprach Kuiil.
This fig needs to be released in a cheaper set.
I have spoken.
Hnmmr, the way this is!

Whelp, 2 for 4 on the random minifig.
I think I have gotten used to his head. It doesn't look too bad anymore.

Droopy? That was the first that came to my mind too.
We're four for four on licensed figs--and four for four on figs I don't own! Given that's we're only sampling post 2010, I predict the licensed streak ends before my unowned streak, but that is by no means a bet to lay money on.
We need to see him again, preferably in a cheaper set. I have spoken.

Hmm... yes, I apparently meant the Droopy character. There is a Dopey Dog character, but that isn't the one I was trying to refer. I don't know why I confused them, but I've been doing it for years.
We used to have a US Nat'l Team coach (Bruce Arena) who also looked like that. He made so many incredibly stupid decisions that I became so infuriated that I began conflating Droopy with Dopey. His jowls would always droop lower and lower, his eyes getting blearier and looking far away, as he stood on the side, refusing to make any changes, as we would predictably, inevitably, and needlessly lose to an inferior squad due to his obstinance. Truly a Dopey.
