Alas. No castle of Brickwood forest.
General store and mountain fortress are nice though.
The prices will be astronomical, and they will all sell out very quickly.
Sad that my design was not be selected but these ones are great!
I'm so excited for these!
Well, I tried! Next time, Lord willing!
Highly disappointing selection.
I still can't believe it! Thank you to those who voted for my Old Train Engine Shed! <3
Congratulations to the designers! :D
The one that appeals to me most is the mountain fortress, I remember loving its sense of atmosphere when I looked through the entries a while ago; but I do not expect to be able to afford it. Still, I'm glad that one made it through, in particular ^^
I was personally hoping for that one space bar project, but I love these too!
the mountain fortress looks so similar to 10305 I'm not sure I'd bother even if I had the dollars and space
Good luck to all of you with money!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$
All very nice but I dare say the only reasonably priced one will be the snack shack
really disappointed in these finalists. Even the nice looking Parisian street doesn't have a backside
The snack shack is my favourite here and might come in at a reasonable price, too.
Looks like a good selection with a good range of sizes. I'm not much into buildings though, maybe round 2 will have some vehicles.
Was hoping for the traveling cart, but these don't seem bad. At least they only chose one of the castle and modular sets, though I'm skeptical as to whether more will come through in future series. Lion's Castle is probably more worthwhile for most people.
Snack shack and General Store might be worthwhile, depending on what the price comes out to be.
I'm still confused how on the last designer program, it says for sets like the Bionicle set & the Old West Movie studio "instructions not yet available." Does that mean that the rejected sets will be available in some form?

Aside from that, my favorite one is oddly enough the snack shack
Snack Shack Sweep!
Sad that forest path / ambush wasn't selected. I think that was the best castle set. I am not sure how much I like the frost tower yet, but at least there is something castle related. <3
All look great and I’d get all 5 if I had the money
I would honestly love to buy all of these. I may need to narrow my selection to the Old Train Engine Shed and the General Store, since I anticipate I will still need food and shelter in 2024. Congrats to those selected.
They are all very nice. Love the Engine Shed as I love trains, stations, and sheds. Odds are I'm not going to love the price enough to purchase it. Only one I might consider just because it might be "reasonably" affordable is Snack Shack. I can about guarantee that one will sell out quickly due to being the only reasonably affordable one of the list.
Just another validation for Lego of the popularity and thirst for large, very expensive sets.
Congratulations to all finalists. All great builds.
Love the castle but it will be like 350-400 euro I am affraid.
Parisian street is really nice but because it is not modular 32x32 size I cannot add it to my other modular buildings unfortunately.
The train engine shed looks really great. I will buy it but will add some christmas decorations and snow so it will fit into my christmas village.
The snack shack....will just buy it
The general store: looks great but wont fit in my city layout.
Congratulations to all the finalists! I voted for The Old Train Engine Shed and I am definitely getting it in the crowdfunding stage!
The absolute brutality of all these just-sub-4000 sets....
I'm a little surprised by the ones that made it through from a very diverse crop. Not unpleasantly surprised, only surprised. Some really nice ones here that I'll consider throwing money at if I have some to spare next February.

Yours was the one set I was most hoping would make the cut. Congratulations!

I'll definitely be placing an order.
I love the train engine shed! Will support if I can afford it!

I think I'm with you on all of these. The castle is beautiful but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to afford it after all the sets I couldn't not get in the BLDP Rounds 1, 2, and 3. :o)
The train shed is a must have for me. The shack can likely find a spot in my city and I do love all things Western.
I'm really surprised to say that I'm out on the Parisian Street, even though it looks great and we're big time Francophiles. It just feels too big and not a great fit for my city (if it even can fit in a modular layout). I felt very similarly about the BLDP Venice.
EDIT: Bricklink shows the next submissions time periods will be May, September, and January. :o)
Even though the Parisian Street is very nice, there were many more interesting options to choose from. Disappointing.
These are all really nice. If the prices weren't ridiculous I would be interested in buying most if not all of these. Based on previous rounds though I don't expect any of them to come in at a price I'd be willing to purchase at.
Love the western genre.... So clearly the General Store for me.... The Fortress is awesome as well.
All too big to be affordable. I only voted for small sets, of which there were very few. Bigger isn't always better. But these do look good, just not attainable for the average lego fan
Was hoping to see the Medieval Joiner's Workshop among the final five, but at least one of my other 'Love it' selections (old train engine shed) made it. Should be interesting to see the prices come next year.
As others have said, the Parisian Street is very nice but, despite its looks, it isn’t modular scale so I don’t really see the point.
If there was a plan to release Western buildings on a regular basis, much as the modulars and winter village are, then I’d start collecting, but I fear this will be a one-off which isn’t for me.
It’s really only the fortress which is a realistic possibility, but depends entirely on price. As long as it costs less than the Lion Knights Castle then I probably will.
Nice work - well done to the designers!
I do lament the lack of small sets that go through Lego Ideas as well as through the Designer Program. Some of these will be bonkers price-wise.
Having said that, congrats to the designers!
All of 'em are lovely stuff, but the Snack Shack is the one I would Attack (in a positive one).
Great designs! My congradulations to the winners! Most of these are way too large and expensive for my budget but it's still nice that the creators will be able to see these sets become produced to some capacity. And it'll be great that some people who want them and can afford it might be able to get them!
Key word: 'some' people and 'might' be able to get them.
I can't wait to see these become randomly available depending on how many seconds you were there before others, your internet speed, the randomly generated amount they think they have in stock, the randomly generated amount they will actually have in stock, the web-page not burning up after more than 10 people visit at once, the way a headless chicken walks over a roulette table...
All those dice rolls for each step of the process too. Better hope that set you paid for has actually been processed and you won't at best just get your money back...
In other words, great sets. But sincerely good luck to anyone who wants to own them!
I will be getting the Mountain Fortress for sure. I'll probably get all five.

They were going to, but from what I recall hearing decided not to for unsaid reasons. The website hasn't been updated yet to reflect this... 'one hand does not know what other hand is doing', etc. (I really wanted old west studios, or at least parts of it, so I'm sad about that one)
Does the General Store include the first covered wagon since 1996's 67161-1 ?
Prices will be interesting.
Noting the Parisian one is still less of a piece count than Assembly Square as a gauge.

Congratulations! I will definitely make a purchase for this. I love it!
Train shed is an easy favourite - no guarantee I'll buy it though...
Mountain Fortress- Lego has never done a snow castle AFAIK and this one is great overall
Parisian Street- a backless Modular is really dumb
Train Engine Shed- just what we needed, a Bluebrixx set made of Lego. Beautiful power lines though
Snack Shack- very good, but should the ground be green instead?
General Store- it could be a one-off Wild West set, but if you swap out those cacti it could be across the street from the Old Fishing Store
The Old Train Engine Shed is superb. I'll definitely be getting that. May also get the Snack Shack, depending on the price.
Great sets, however I am sad not a single space design was selected.
I like them all, but the Old Train Shed really knocked my socks off. I don't have any trains, but that build is absolutely awesome. Congrats to everyone who got a set in this wave.
Mountain Fortress interests me the most, but they're probably all going to be too expensive for me to justify getting them.
All are beautiful builds in their own right, and all are well deserving of being manufactured into instantaneously desirable sets. I will be rising early to secure one of each, come the day of the race.
I really wanted that Bookstore Modular. I’m not really interested in any of these. I wish the Parisian street was a modular but it’s not, so it’s a pass.
Why is this called Series 1 when there's been like 3 or 4 of these already?
Bummed I didn’t make it, but congratulations to the winners!
It will all depend on the prices, but I suspect I won't be buying of these. I bought a fair number of the earlier series of crowdfunded projects. The lack of printed instructions is a definite negative in these sets. It drastically diminishes the pleasure of the build.
Snack shack and Wild West. The others are $399.99 and up.
Ok ok I want the castle too. Adding some christmas decorations and some christmas trees will make it a fine addition to my christmas village ??
I like them all, but the Old Train Engine Shed - most of all!
First of all, congrats to all designers that made the cut. Not sure if, apart from the designer of the Train Shed, any of the designers are active here, but hats off to you all. These are some beautiful builds. My favorites are the Train Shed, the Shack and the Parisian Street. However, the General Store is also very appealing with all these sand blue tiles used to construct the outside walls. The fortress looks lovely, but maybe a bit superfluous after the excellent Castle in the Forest and the Lion Knights Castle
Anyway, here's to hoping that in total all five will cost less than about 800-1000 EUR. If yes, I will get them all.
Thnx for these boring choices. My bank account is very happy now.
honestly, meh :/
Can anybody comment on the timelines? Will it be until Feb 2024 before they will be shipped, but we can pre-order earlier, or will we pre-order in Feb 2024, and not get the sets until 2028? (I am exaggerating, but I had to wait a loooong time for my windmill).
A bit bummed the mini golf course has missed out on becoming a set for the third (?) time.

You will be able to pre-order in February 2024 and get the sets in the next 6 months!
The first two were very popular with commenters so likely they will sellout. The others are more unusual and a surprise. I preferred the previous format of say 10 finalists and the first 5 to 20k become made to give more choice.
I wonder what will happen to the other 370 instructions as there were some great designs? Maybe Bricklink could ask the designers if they would be willing to sell on the website for a few $ with all the proceeds going to a charity like Fairybricks?
Wild West General Store and Mountain Fortress for me.
I've never understood why Lego, a company with over $9 billion in revenue last year, has to resort to crowdfunding. Does Lego really not have enough money to manufacture these sets, so they're forced to beg their customers to pay for them up front?
Love them all! Congratulations to the designers!

Yours was the most beautiful of the 5 chosen. Looking forward to buying a copy !
They are all great imo. I do agree with the comments here that it would be nice to have a few more smaller sets for those with smaller budgets
So bummed that mine didn't make it either, but thank to all who supported it. Instead if you want instructions to it I've returned the price back on rebrickable to its original price and all instructions are 50% off until Friday! And congratulations to all the winners some amazing sets out there!
https://rebrickable.com/users/KK_Bricks/mocs/
The General Store will be a purchase IF the price is okay. So far all of these have been really high prices, so it may be difficult to swing. Thankfully it is almost another year away to worry about it.
Congrats to all that had their design chosen. I will probably pass on these though. I just don't have the space, nor the funds! But no doubt they will all sell and then sell out.
I'm in for all of them except the Parisian street

It's because of what the sets are: MOCS on a mass scale. Lego doesn't want to invest the time and resources into turning these MOCS into legitimate sets with the right structural integrity, 'legal' building techniques, box designs, etc (that's what IDEAS is for), but Lego still sees a market for items like this. The program is the easiest way for Lego to make a few bucks off MOCS without having to invest much into it.
Do they have the money to do it? Absolutely, but this is cheaper.
Congratulations to everyone whose creations was selected! I am really happy to see among the selections the Old Train Engine Shed for which I voted for and hopefully I am going to get it in the crowdfunding stage!
@Sandinista said:

Because this is the first time there have been open submissions. The last ones were invitational from ideas projects that didn't get approved.
I can’t wait to buy a couple of these only to forget that I did so, and which ones, until 16 months later when they actually arrive.
I'm never able to afford these when the crowdfunding stage starts. I'd like the old train shed, but whether I can afford it is another matter.
This feels like a review ideas result, loads of sets put forward, only a few chosen which might not be brought anyway.

Observations of Bricklink Designer Program Series 1:
1: Glad to see that they've bumped the production run to 20,000 of each set, up from the 10,000 they used during the previous program. 20,000 may still not be enough, though, especially consideritg how quickly The Castle in the Forest sold out last time.
2: They have fewer sets selected as finalists, which may ensure a smoother process from start to finish, but also means more people's designs weren't chosen.
3: A much longer wait time from announcement to funding, but a much shorter expected time from funding to production and shipping.
4: Glad that the designer of the Mountain Fortress has a great backstory that ties in perfectly with the recently-released Lion Knights' Castle and explains why that set only had a queen and not a king.
Sack sack is super cool, but also the others... only the 2 big ones look quite common
I didn't vote for any of these. Not sure why I didn't vote for any of the castles/fortresses. That said, I want the Mountain Fortress.
How do we pre order?
That's unfortunate. Not interested in any of them....

Being an Aussie who faints at the exchange rate, it's all going to be a big "pass" on everything (still love the Old Train Shed).
