Random set of the day: Coast Guard Seaplane

Today's random set is 30225 Coast Guard Seaplane, released during 2013. It's one of 40 City sets produced that year. It contains 37 pieces and 1 minifig, and its retail price was US$3.99.
It's owned by 2,257 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $6.50, or eBay.

So do you only get the life preserver or do you have to grip onto the plane and hold on for dear life in order to be saved?
Yes, realistically, it's a little flimsy and horrifying, but I just love little sets like this. It's just so cute.

Aaaand we're back to kit-planes...weird though, you'd think a 'Coast Guard' would have enough of a budget to afford an actually seaplane...or at least rent one:)

Lego City seems to have a complete lack of safety inspectors.

Props to this guy for flying with a set of binoculars to he can see where he's going.

Just realized something else: the plastic/foil from the bag has a 'shimmer' like that of water...and kinda' makes the "plane" look like it's listing/tipping...

Assuming that he can’t reach the second jumper plate hidden round the other side, while keeping things airborne.
I have seen more dangerous designs than this, but this is up there, too.
Smallsets like these are rarely fully realistic, but it's always nice to get something cute.
I like that it comes with a life preserver.

I would say this is where Blacktron got their cavalier attitude to safety.
I have no idea how the pilot’s ball cap stays on while flying this thing!
