Random minifig of the day: hf015
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random minifigure is hf015 Hero Factory Mini - Breez - Pearl Dark Gray Armor, a Hero Factory figure that came in one set, 44027 BREEZ Flea Machine, released during 2014.
Our members collectively own a total of 955 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $3.70.

Those are pretty cool, a good evolution of both the bionicle and exo force figures
How exactly did the “flea machine” get it’s name? It looks nothing like a flea and has no “flea-like” characteristics
A fun looking Minifigure to be sure.

Absolutely. The parts are properly posable and usable more widely in system, even using a standard minifig head and skeleton torso. I only got one of the minifig scale Heroes but I'm a big fan of how they did them across the board.

I didn't even know these existed until about 6 months ago. Now, I've several strolling about Mos Eisley in my MOC.
I love these figures! I got Rocka's mech, and I used his figure all the time. I also love that Rocka's helmet lines up with regular minifig eyes. I have used it in medieval settings multiple times for that reason.
"Some day...when I grow up..." (or: what goes through a "Mini-Heroes'" head)
Hero Factory IFB my beloved
I actually love these minifigs. I have all 7 characters (with correct eye colors), plus a modified dark trooper helmet for Stringer and I've been trying to get an orange race helmet with a football visor for Nex. It's a shame they didn't make all 9. Would've been just 2 more pieces. And I don't think these limbs have come back either.
The arms were in the Dimensions starter pack but I don’t think the legs have returned

The legs never got used outside of Hero Factory. The arms did get used in a few sets though.
Including 71200, 71040, 70751 and a Toys'r'us minibuild TRUNEXO (Sidenote, I read this as True-Nexo not T.R.U (Toys'r'Us) Nexo.)
So…are we gonna talk about how someone build a robot on a human ribcage?
QUICK LORE!!!
HERO Factory builds robot cops.
Natalie Breeze was a rookie with wind weapons and the ability to speak with animals
In the last year of HERO Factory giant kaiju monsters attacked the city and they had to use mechs to fight them off.
QUICK LORE!!!
@Lemerbrix06 If I remember right it had strong jumping legs and a grapple hook so it could jump between buildings like a flea jumps on a dog, or something like that
One of only 20 hero factory minifigures

The machine only has three legs. I always assumed it used the back one to "hop" around in universe, with the other two used primarily for stability or walking at a much slower pace.
Interesting way to build a minifigure. I thought whole torso was a special piece. Nicely done.

"the ability to speak with animals"
See, I don't get why people would want that as their superpower. EVERYONE can speak with anymals, it's an innate skill you have. It's just that the response is usually "Moo", "Woof", "Polly wants a cracker" or "SWEET JESUS, GREG, GET THE MEDICS IN HERE, HE'S BEEN CLAWED IN THE FACE!".
Morning everyone."
it's even weirder since they're robots, it's most likely just a software thing so not give it to the whole team and have all of them talk to animals?
Friendly reminder that Invasion from Below above is about a corporation drilling into and damaging an untouched habitat, causing a hostile response from its inhabitants. In turn, the “Heroes” of Hero Factory side with the encroaching corporation and make it their responsibility to ensure all of the retaliating inhabitants are killed by acid. That last bit was decided on during the last 12 hours before the production deadline. Originally, the Heroes forgave the Beasts after learning that they’re just frightened victims who are not at all malicious. However, some writer who thought they had such great morals decided that the unbelievable improbability of one the Jumpers accidentally shooting one of the Heroes’ weapons and enraging the Queen Beast to try their damn best at justifying the “Heroes” committing literal genocide on a victimized group was a better idea.
This almost reminds me of the “Indiana Jones is wiped from the timeline and is replaced by PWB” rumor but in reverse (and also with genocide apologism thrown in, in IFB’s case). As in, ruining the ending was decided on last second, while the “replacing Indy” ending likely didn’t exist and if it did was changed early in production.
I never got any of these, although I did trade some Ninjago shoulder armour for this figure's arms and legs but only in gold. And then of course there's X-P0, the Lego Dimensions droid who had these arms in silver. Now, I just need to get a pair in bronze and I've got the whole lot!

I feel like you’re going to need to elaborate on that.
I loved the whole Pacific Rim vibe to Invasion From Below. I wish I'd gotten more of the sets. Almost the entire wave, with the exception of the two smallest sets (and the ones I actually got, for obvious reasons), is on my wanted list.

What's "PWB? And what's this rumor you speak of?

I was really hoping this would be answered for me, but alas

PWB stands for partial weight bearing, and the rumour is that in Raiders as IJ tries to outrun the boulder he was actually replaced by some steel supports. This didn’t in fact impede the boulder, which sealed the temple, but it did prevent IJ retrieving the artefact. Long story short, the artefact is still there safe in-situ without the intervention of a museum, and the Nazis still eventually retrieved the Ark, opened it and melted.
You’re welcome.
...Well, now they call her the Breez
She keep blowing down the road

She ain't got nobody
She don't carry no load...

@TheOtherMike:
PWB is meant to reference Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Indy’s goddaughter in Indy 5, but I have no idea what this rumor is. Between various attempts to come up with a compelling story, I could see just about any rumor floating around the internet, whether legit, decoy, or trolling.
It still bugs me they had a character that could TALK TO ANIMALS the whole time yet the whole show was mostly just gunning down the monsters

It's a ridiculous conspiracy trolls came up with to sabotage the movie. Unfortunately, it worked. Plus the trolls spread the conspiracy that if the movie didn't have such a ridiculous ending it was due to reshoots. I feel that this was an inappropriate reference for the original commenter to make and we shouldn't make even references to such nonsense here on Brickset.
Enough of that, getting back to the topic at hand, I'm not surprised that the story would be like that given Lego's track record at the time of a highly concerning amount of "Humans vs. Aliens" race war themes - Mars Mission, Space Police 3, Alien Conquest, Galaxy Squad. Aqua Raiders, and to a lesser extent Atlantis also had human divers encroaching on nature being the source of the conflict. Despite that, all of these themes are remembered fondly. I don't care for the later ones, Mars Mission and Aqua Raiders I personally like the best.
It’s not easy being green.

“They’re afraid of us!” - Gen. Doogie Howser M.D.
The 1x1 tile with H on also works well for helipad's on micro scale builds.

I apologize if it seemed like I was spreading the rumor as if it was legit, I know it’s fake and I wish I made that more clear. I also agree that said “race war” conflicts being pervasive in original LEGO themes at the time was concerning (especially with a certain war going on that the USA waged). I believe Invasion from Below had the worst one, though, as it results in canonical genocide. While Atlantis overall is still an example, they don’t harm or at least kill any of the beings in the animated special so at least there’s that.
I really loved these figures. I sort of wish we had gotten similar Bionicle minifigures as part of G2—figs with this level of detail and customizability but also with the iconic looks of the classic Toa would've been great to have.

That is how Hero Factory was written in comparison to Bionicle as well. It is pretty obvious that people like Faber had ideas for a much more expansive story, but people were so afraid of coming into Bionicle's massive lore glut again that they just chose to simplify everything down for Hero Factory to the point nearly everything is a basic stock character and the plot resets with each new new wave.
@Norikins:
If that’s true, I’m not sure they need have bothered. I watched it. And I actually like Indy 4. I realize it’s set in an era when pulp sci-fi ruled the fiction section, and I’ve watched the episode of Young Indy where he kills Dracula. More than once, even. But Indy 5 seemed like it was going to balance having Indy do the sort of things he always does with not being ridiculous in the way it portrayed a man his age. Last hurrah, save the world, but realize it really is time to hang up the hat at the end. And then they delivered a nothingburger of an ending. It didn’t really matter if Indy decided to walk away at the first sign of trouble, go home, put on some headphones, and crank up whatever passed for music in those days. There wasn’t anything he could do to save the world because (surprise, surprise) it wasn’t really in danger like everyone expected. He got to meet someone who he’d never once, in over 40 hours of movie and TV shows, expressed any “the Grail was dad’s thing” level of fascination with. Arguably, if he hadn’t gotten involved, PWB’s character may never have been put at risk (at least not by this lot), since she was so determined to sell every last shred of the artifact trail to the first person to pull a stack of cash out of his wallet (I _may_ be underestimating how much danger she would have been in without Indy meddling, but I’m not planning to rewatch it until I can buy it on DVD).
