doesn't look like a very stealthy vehicle. with flick fire missiles and transparent pieces all around it!

Ah, but you see, the transparent pieces are very stealthy, since they're see-through. Practically invisible.

I have part of that jet ski and I think the turtle from a bulk bin. As someone around here would appreciate, it has trans neon green and it works with the dark red rather well for that build.

So, did whoever built that boat not know how flick-fires are supposed to work? Or are they supposed to fire backwards, considering the ones on the wheeled vehicle are pointed forwards?

By in Turkey,

Do you think Lego didn't produce smaller scale set for Leo on purpose? Because looking at the lineup, starting with 79100, then 79101 and 79102, you would think 79103 would be the one with Leonardo. But no, 79103 is a large set.

Oh, on the other hand, something smells FISHY with this set, I think there is something aFOOT here...

@Maxbricks14: Hmm...see my take is: How "stealthy" IS it w/jet/rocket engines (especially when run in sewers...). Basically, a non-combustion engine (electric, magnetic, and so on...).

Ooh, timely. There's a new movie in theaters, and I've got four different sets of turtles on our layout this weekend (weekends are six days long, right?):

https://brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6750107

Back to front, they're the 2012 Nickelodeon series, the 2014 Paramount film, the original 1984 Mirage comics, and new Tiny Mutant Ninja Turtles. The last ones are a bit of a work in progress. Currently I've switched them to dark-tan 2x2 radar dishes for the shells. It'd be nice if I could come up with a bandana solution that didn't involve retro space helmets or giving them all red bandanas.

Technically I have five on the layout, since the "turtles" from 30270 are in a display case in my LEGO Store, but they're in a display case on the side wall where you can't see them through the windows.

It is beginning to get really easy for me to tell when a set came out based on things in it. This set practically has a Buildboard in it that says it was made in the early 2010's. All those rockets in that part. The boat looks like its from a agents or ultra agents set, maybe even Chima.

By in United Kingdom,

Ah yes, nothing says 'stealthy' like two vehicles that roar at top volume wherever they go

By in Denmark,

Now-a-days it would be ‘Stealth Octan in Pursuit’

Hero in a Stealth Shell
Turtle Powered!*

Those arms were later repurposed as Gollum's arms btw. Just not in magenta. So they're actually Fishface arms.

I miss the simplicity of this era's set design. This was right before the advent of the newer brackets and the increasingly SNOT puzzle builds of summer 2012 and beyond (this was a spring release).

*there used to be a turtle tribe. Not anymore. It was barbaric.

I bet all of Fishface's limbs break really easily, just like the 2012 Sebulba that I don't even touch...
Minifigs composed of clips never last. Only Battle Droids have a chance because you can repair them since so many have been made, but fixing these rarer guys can be a pain.

Unfortuntely, I wasn't really following LEGO at the time, so I unfortunately missed out on these TMNT sets. Do have several of the action figures from the 2012 series though.

9470 Shelob Attacks was released in June 2012, 79000 Riddles for the Ring in December 2012, this set in January 2013- so they're Gollum arms. Unless they were designed for Fishface but the set was delayed...

Wait, this was from 2013, not 2012!?
It's been years later and I never realized...
Sorry, I totally misremembered.

By in United States,

There was an alternate build for this set with a prison vehicle, I barely had the initial build assembled before I went to disassembling it and making that one instead. Still a better fate than Shredder’s Dragon Bike, which I threw away the Christmas I got it because I didn’t know how to put Technic pieces together.

I have the figure, and the limbs have held up pretty well so far. Of course, It's not like he was a character I regularly played with, but regardless he is still fine. Unfortunately the set didn't include spare limbs, so there is certainly a higher cost for replacement. I remember wondering why Lego didn't introduce a bent straight arm for battle droids when I got the set.

Whoops, never finished my thought "Basically, a non-combustion engine (electric, magnetic, and so on...)."...would be the way to go: quiet (have you ever 'heard' an electric motor on say a scooter...).

Magnetics, if done right; adds another bonus too: a really good breaking system...:)

By in Germany,

Compared to the source material (or for comparison the action-figure version from Playmates Toys), this doesn't look very good - although i can not imagine a way to improve this with 2013's parts pallette, especially on this scale.

What is good though, is that it comes at least at a somewhat realistic scale, unlike many other vehicles in this line, which are way too large compared to the figures.

Oh - and I really like Xever Montez/Fishface (who reuses Gollum's arms in magenta), so I had to get this anyways^^

Still want to get Fishface. Just haven't got around to it.
