These are the sets I was tasked to do the final product design. It takes a team to bring these products to life and my personal design influence can vary from 10%-90% depending on the original concept model, leadership input, team input, IP partners, marketing team input, graphic designers, interactive designers, packaging requirements, model build policies, product age range policies, quality and safety requirements, build flow policies and element production logistics. Thank you to all my awesome colleagues involved!

Moved to Denmark and started March '23. An original Californio and the Silicon Valley-Bay Area-San Francisco were my stomping grounds. Lifelong LEGO enthusiast. Began as a Concept Designer for the Super Mario team exploring the possibilities of Mario Kart. Switched to Model Designer for the Super Mario team and designed several 2025 sets. Currently on the CITY team since October '24 and working on 2026 sets! More awesomeness to come!

Super stoked to have worked on this as my first set!

The design of these two karts was a joy to develop! Given all conditions and requirements, I'm very pleased with how they came out. It was a pleasure working with the team at Nintendo! Prior to Mario Kart sets going into the design phase, I was a concept designer under Patrick's leadership and was building concepts to explore what was possible for this new theme along side the interactive designers. One of the things I was involved with was starting up the development of the turtle shell shooter and the banana peel with the element designers.

Alice is the original designer of the babies! I liked them so much that I kept them 100% to her design. 'One Team' Anthony did the graphics. Didier, Amy, and Andrea did amazing work on the interactive figure, tags and capturing the Mario Kart interactive play!

Who hasn't been to a Mushroom house party with the Toads?! Well now's your chance! A grammophone record player brings the latest Super Mario beats. Party balloons, cake, outdoor table & seats, vintage Toad-style kitchen, top floor bedroom with a cozy fireplace and a poster of Princess Peach's castle on the wall. The bed, dresser, stove and sink can all be removed for more play versatility.

My 2nd/3rd set. Assigned to me together with 72045 Shy Guy & P-Wing. I really enjoyed creating this set! Tania created the original concept model. Anthony did fantastic on the graphics. Nintendo team in Japan were wonderful to work with. Daire and Eszter were my helpful gurus! Didier, Amy and Andrea did the interactive play!

My 2nd/3rd set. Assigned to me together with the 72041 Part at Toad's House. Sleek sports cars are kinda my jam. As a kid I dreamt of being a car designer and I spent countless hours sketching hundreds of ultra sleek futuristic vehicles. And I was happy to take on the very sporty P-wing. The P-wing doesn't have a single straight surface on it. Sleek curves everywhere. In the beginning I was stoked with my initial design which better captured the the proportions and style of the front, sides and rear shapes of the car. In fact the rear of the my concept model was 9 studs wide...a wider rear track width just as it is on the actual car in the game. However this made the car on the verge of being a lightweight speed champions build in complexity and unsuitable for the age range. This and among other criteria led me to this final design that is easier to build and captures the core details and sleekness of the P-wing! I especially like my solution for seating both Shy Guy (3-wide) and the Interactive figures (4 wide)..a slide out seat! This also allowed for a better seating height for both characters. The red fins at the rear of the car was a nice touch. The brick built glider added some challenges to the car. Its additional weight and leverage force made it ridiculously easy for the click hinge or the assembly around the click hinge to fail. Numerous more basic solutions failed but I eventually solved it with a bit of wizardry....errr I mean side building. :) Overall a fun set, a fun car and a fun build!

Dan Squirrel and Daire both made concepts in the early days of Mario Kart concepting phase. The Nintendo team, Daire and Dan were my go-to gurus while designing the set. Anthony did the graphics! Didier, Amy, and Andrea did amazing work on the interactive figure, tags and capturing the Mario Kart interactive play!
