My first LEGO set. This was a first also to include Junior's chassis that featured in other Bricks and More sets before staying in the Juniors line. The chassis is good for easy building for young builders who want to get to the play as quick as possible. I was part of the team developing this element which was challenging as we made sure that it was the right dimensions and gave the best building possibilities so that it could be used to build many different types of cars. This element became a design standard for new LEGO elements developed for 4+ building.

In my work on this set I was inspired by a set that I had as a child called 'fire chaser' #6531 so chose to include a helicopter element in the extra pieces that would allow even more building possibilities.

This Bricks and More set has two alternative themes: Container ship Harbour and Fishing Harbour.

Creative Chest still stands to be one of the most challenging sets that I have designed even though it has the appearance of being straightforward. The challenge was blending the two types of play offer into the one set (loose bricks and built models with Juniors big elements). I had to ensure that there was enough interesting and exciting play in the models and at the same time ensure that the pile of bricks that would be left extra would be as great an added benefit as possible by playing with even after the models were built.

My childhood family sea-side holidays helped inspire this set's theme.

The Bricks and More team had reached new grounds by working with Warner Brothers DC to create a Batcave for 4-year-olds. Parallel to the development of this set and the other Juniors sets also in 2014 was the development of new building elements that would allow for creating buildings and structures as easily as the chassis did in '10661: My First LEGO Fire Station'.
Great graphic design work by Tobey Brown on the printed decorations.

This was a very interesting challenge bringing gear elements and technic pieces to the LEGO CLASSIC brick palette. My favourite model here is the helicopter as it can be easily rebuilt (or re-skinned) into many different things with a perpendicular movement function.

This is actually called 'Bricks, Bricks, Bricks' As it has many of them and the palette of elements is just a little higher on the brick-type than usual here.

This was a collaboration with Jonathan Christie Ønstrup. We had a race building pirate ships and combined the best parts for the ship that is in the set.
