In between Ninjago models, I got the chance to work on Mixel concepts! I built a LOT of tiny, silly and strange sketch models. Mixels Designers Gemma Anderson and Andy Seenan wisely filtered these, and instead asked me to make sketch models for the Police and Castle Maxes. Naturally the Castle Max needed to be a dragon.

Sweepz began as a dream to make the car wash brushes in a new colour, and I'm very happy that the Mixel team made that a reality. But when Carl Merriam added a raccoon head, that's when Sweepz became art.

When I started Compax as a sketch model, I forgot to mention the digestive tract feature. Carl Merriam and Robert Heim worked on the final model, and they spotted, approved and preserved that functionality.
