By in Norway,

City is really cooking, even HOG steering on some sets! Definitively a theme that is doing well, and Speed Champions seemingly maintains its high standards.

Wish TLG could produce a few more Technic sets that are not racing-, super- or hypercars and that contain interesting functions.

By in Canada,

LEGO Star Wars brought me back from my dark age 7-8 years ago. But more and more I find myself drawn to CITY sets. The 2026 wave of CITY sets is really excellent. I'll also get a couple of Ninjago sets (in fact, I've already pre-ordered them). As for Star Wars... Well, I'm still an avid minifigure collector (buying many of them on BL), but most of the 2025 and now 2026 sets are meh.

Don't forget, Lego announced they were dropping bricklink.com support for 35 countries and then announced all these sets the days after to bury the news.

By in Canada,

From what has been announced so far, I will most likely get (in due time) 6 City sets, 3 HP sets, 1 Creator 3-in-1 and 1 modular - add to that the occasional impulse buy when a low price is too good to pass. This is fine because the City sets are not too expensive (and will get reduced eventually on Amazon). I'm sure Lego will get me around the corner when the Icons sets are announced through the year. I still have a few expensive sets from previous years to get before they retire so I am happy that my wants are not too excessive this time around. It would be very nice if we could have one really nice Technic set (not a car) in the second wave of the year.

I think that what was presented to date is varied enough to please all tastes and for the most part I think the 2026 line-up is quite nice even if not all of interest to me.

By in United States,

I'm most looking forward to 75437 Cobb Vanth's Speeder. That price is rough, though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Chinese Festival, Speed Champs and Modular will be my first buys!

Gravatar
By in Norway,

This was a really neat roundup of the 2026 sets so far! The Bugs Bunny set was new to me; hilarious! :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

STILL absolutely no mention of 42218, 42219, or 42220? Come on, those are the pick of the Technic crop!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Lots of sets from a number of themes that I'm excited for and will be getting

Gravatar
By in Spain,

and LEGO Academy F1 car isn't a highlight? It is better than those sports cars! They are similar to other ones before (I know that the LEGO Academy F1 car is similar to other 12 cars this year...but it is car that LEGO is sponsoring!!!

By in Netherlands,

Kinda ironic that a picture of 60495 is used for the article, even when it was ignored in the announcement article and isn't mentioned here either.....

Also, why is Bugs Bunny in the "Seasonal" theme? Hunting Season? or did someone confuse him with the some other famous bunny?

Many good sets, though the only ones I'll probably buy are the Japanese painting and the DeLorean. And well, maybe some of the Creator sets as typical impulse buy whenever I encounter them with a good discount.

Wabbit season.
Duck season.

I didn't know about 42218. Probably be getting that one; I love small Technic sets.

Neither of 30735.....which honestly is my favorite of the bunch, apart from the rocket.

Usually I do like the small Technic sets, but 42218 looks like a design that turned out slightly too big for a polybag.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Still no Jurassic World sets revealed. Sad, guess I have to wait a bit longer.

Gravatar
By in United States,

31378 isn't actually in the linked announcement article...

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Pretty sure the Easter egg in 31380 Retro Gaming Console depicts Mario and Pokey.

The City sets look fantastic, as well as Speed Champions. A minifigure animal theme is welcome as well.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think the image on the home screen for this article is appropriate. It feels like just dumping a bunch of trash!

There's a few gems here and there (Lovegood, Stranger Things, big mech, etc.), but mostly it's money-saving crap.

60495 Recycling Truck was added to LEGO.com after we published the City article on Tuesday and 40920 Bugs Bunny is classified as a Seasonal set because it is an Easter product, just like 40824 Sweetheart Tweety Bird was a Valentine's Day set this year.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Lego site says this about 60499:
“ The toy truck comes with 8 chunky rubber tires ”. I only see 6. Am I missing something?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

You wouldn’t have a web link or directions to this news update, a very unfortunate one by the sounds of it!

I guess it was the same with the 31378 Telescope, but at least that one got a mention here ;-)

As for that Tweety set, for that one I kinda get it. But here, it just seems far fetched. Or will it come with a basket of Easter eggs as GWP?

Unlike other sites we don't need to mention every set in the announcement articles because all the information is always readily available in our database.

All 184 2026 sets that have been announced and we have pictures of can be seen here: https://brickset.com/sets/year-2026/filter-HasImage/category-normal

What a hit.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Wait, what?! That insane Hollywood action flick "Heist Master, Bank Safe and Getaway Supercar Cargo Train" set is not in the roundup?

That Technic cog on the cement mixer looks like it is operating the turning of the drum. No steering wheels on the City sets it seems.

Edit: Ah, now I see the steering on the airport crash truck. On another note... €70?!

In USD it's only slightly more than 60374, which seems like a pretty reasonable comparison as another big fire truck with Features and Details. I guess the exchange rate has shifted.

With how quickly the cheap sets retire, I don’t think it’s even gonna make it to Christmas 2026.

Oh sure, and it wasn't meant as criticism. I just found it funny a picture is used from a set many people likely didn't know existed.
(and I'm happy that the Telescope here did get some much deserved exposure in this article!)

Gravatar
By in Canada,

@PurpleDave: Know what's funny...I completely forgot that there's MORE than ONE VERSION of that 'sketch', until 'MeTV' a couple years ago did a celebration of Bugs' 'birthday' (...shouldn't that be 'anniversary', as Bugs isn't...um...moving on). They ran about four hours of just Bugs' cartoons, starting with three versions of the sketch...completely fun overall..:)

Looking forward to 2026, hopefully the latter sets of the year are equally cool.

By in United States,

I like how that City tractor uses a mech chest part as the front of the vehicle. Even the most specialized Lego pieces can be used in different ways.
