By in New Zealand,

Very dull in comparison to the previously revealed Marvel sets. Two boring mch sets and yet another buildable groot, a cash grab on the original extremely popular one.

Marvel mechs, for Spring. Groundbreaking.

If marketing tells you kids love mechs, TLG are great at mechs so why not make a mech theme.

Instead Super Hero themes get less source based characters and sets. CMF ranges would just run and run with these themes while big-figs and so many characters are just teased at in video games.
Such missed opportunities, kids who love recent animations and adults that loved the comics would gladly see more faithful recreations of buildings and vehicles…
But perhaps we’re a customer minority…

It's December... Anything other than the Modular is just the sideshow!

Sweet! Another R2-B-Groot.

Lego is mailing it in.

By in Germany,

Yeah right, more mechs.
Next.

By in United Kingdom,

Oh good. More meh-chs. Sigh...

By in Sweden,

I don’t think it’s Thanos being inevitable, I think it’s buildable Groot.

By in United States,

Whilst the Mechs don't interest me in the slightest I can fully understand that they would be popular for younger builders. Therefore, I manage to avoid making snarky comments* on here whenever new ones are released.

*endless whining about stickers and prices on the other hand ...

By in Australia,

I'm almost certain this isn't even the first Spider-man-vs-Doctor-Octopus-mecha set Lego has even released, you know.

For someone claiming he was gonna do his own thing, Miles sure seems to be just copying what other Spider-Man sets have been doing

Great, now I've got to find even more space amongst my plants for another Groot.

I do like him, but Lego's getting kinda lazy just making more and more versions of the same thing.

Really hoping that Zip is a print not a sticker.

It should be - decorated bricks with parts placed over them are meant to always be prints, as stickers increase the thickness of the brick and can get damaged.

Baby Groot and Marvel Mechs. What year is this? Has time passed at all in the last decade or so?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I'm shocked... Is that an actual child on the picture with the Miles Morales Mech? So not an adult posing, but a child actually playing with LEGO?

By in United States,

I'd completely forgotten about the shooter in 76337. Also, I wondered, when I saw 76341, why he was sitting on an alarm clock. Then I remembered the bomb trigger. Also, with regards to 76341: "Mascot! Mascot! Mascot!"

"Okay, let's do this one last time, yeah?"

Phew, nothing for me.

By in United States,

We're getting Spider-Man 2099 in another set?! I mean, the CMF was already cheap, but now he'll still be available after the year ends.

Which reminds me, I gotta get Pav sooner rather than later.

He look so cool and cute at the same time. Excellent set.

Will definitely be getting this.

Miles has a clone-brother these days, because you just aren't a Spider-Man unless you play ALL the hits, including the Clone Saga. This brother, Shift, is ridiculously bulky - I guess this mech could play the part.

Miles' parents seem to be okay with this. They were introduced to, accepted and seemingly adopted Shift in the span of a single page. I... I'm not sure that's healthy. Maybe take some time to process the fact that your superpowered son has a clone, maybe ask some questions.

At this rate there's gonna be kids growing up thinking Marvel is a mecha manga series or something

Three immediate thoughts:

1. WHY is Spider-Man going back to regular blue legs after dual molding being so widely available?

2. Why is Spider-Man not an Iron Spider variant for the Iron Spider mech?

And, as always, 3. Why is it always the same people with the same mechs? Why not a Scorpion or Magneto or Falcon or Doctor Strange mech? These would be great ways to get adult fans buying and to get cool characters we otherwise see less, to say nothing of new characters like Jubilee or Colossus. A Mister Sinister mech would go hard.

Bah! Comics-inspired? I don’t recognize the outfit Miguel is wearing at all. Color scheme, yes, but that’s definitely not from the original run of 2099 titles. I did eventually buy that minifig, but the joints are so stiff I’m worried the dark-blue is starting to rot. I got three of the CMF before I really noticed that it’s more of a digitized design, with brighter colors. I guess this version looks better than the CMF, but I really prefer the Death’s Head costume that he first appeared in.

@ACubeInABox:
Squirrel Girl. Or Iron Squirrel. And a mini-mech for Tippy. Also, Deadpool.

That baby Groot is super cute! I like that this one uses animal claw pieces to give him adjustable eyebrows, makes him that much more expressive even if his mouth is still in a fixed smile. The zipper detail on his uniform is really cool too.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

How convenient that the renders are on the box and not the lifestyle pics that show the true color mismatch of stickers to the bricks. At least they are honest there and didn't Photoshop it out.

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

How many of these trees are they going to release?

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Comic 2099 spidey looks very cool. Might buy that set just for that figure.

At first glance did any one else think ‘Spider Man vs Green Lantern…..’

Not when I initially saw it, but I can definitely see it now that you've mentioned it.

I'm probably one of the few that likes the mechs, but c'mon. Spiderman again? At least let Spider-Gwen have the mech.

Spiderman is like the Batman of Marvel, but not as cool. Not for another (check's date) 74 years at least.

By in United Kingdom,

Just for a change, a buildable Groot and some mechs. Absolutely phoning it in.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Lego really loves the mech suit sets.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The eyebrows on Groot are freaking me out. I love the Venomized Groot set but the other buildable ones aren't the best. Mechs look good!
