Very pretty, though I'm not 100% sold on how the mountain reflection looks. The cranes and the overflowing waterfall are probably my favourite bits.
Usually art sets contain a huge amount of 1x1s or other tiny pieces explaining their ridiculously good ppp, but this… I don’t see how they could sell this for only 120, I’m just seeing regular-sized bricks everywhere! And there’s 1900 of them!

RE US tariffs, I agree they are a terrible policy (except in specific, targeted use to counter specific unfair trade practices). But I'm not sure this is a tariff-based price for US buyers. Yes, £100 would be $130 instead of $140 in US dollars. But on the other hand, the €120 EU price is pretty much exactly equal to the $140 US price. So it's hard to tell I think.
Absolutely beautiful. Lovely details and the colors are great. I love the way they did the cranes.

The recent Goonies 21363 set is the equivalent of $80 cheaper in Canada. If you look at the Price tab on the set details: $329 US = $460 CAD but the price is only $380 CAD.
Be curious to see how other 2026 price difference popup between Canada and the US.

I really like this, the colours, the way it feels like you could step into the set, the frame detail in the corners, the water falling at the bottom of the screen.
I'll say it again, January is gonna be an expensive month. Totally ruining my chance of saving for February/March Bricklink shipping.

At first glance (and as a Japanophile)...I quite like it!
At closer inspections there are a few bits I question, like the composition is a bit weird with the mirror lake in the back and the stuff in front of it, and those steep cliffs with sa few trees look more like something from Chinese artworks. But still, overall it looks good, and I also very much like how it is framed. The cranes are also great, though to be perfect they should have gotten a touch of red on their heads...
I loved the Hokusai set, so this one is gonna be a certain buy.....at a nice discount. Certainly not a day one purchase, as I'll be looking at the real Japan then ;-)
This is drop dead gorgeous!! I love seeing LEGO Art continuously evolve. The 2020 mosaics were cool too but we've come such a long way since then :)
I'm lost for words, this is spectacular. Unlike anything I've seen from Lego before.
As a long time Ninjago fan January 1st is going to be expensive as it is. This set is beautiful and I probably will get this sooner rather than later… if I have enough.
It's going to be a real struggle to not end up with this and put it on the wall with my other Japanese art. Beautiful design, intriguing to look at, and the sky colors just look great.
Absolutely gorgeous! I do think that the gold ornaments on the frame are a bit too busy and it competes visually with the artwork which is already quite busy. Also it looks quite... western compared to the Japanese theme. Gold spare pieces for me!

I don't like comparing North American prices with European ones because prices in Canada and the USA don't include taxes and European prices do. That said, Canadian prices (even accounting for the 15% sales taxe most of us Canadians need to add to the prices) have been pretty good lately.

Where is that upper waterfall flowing from? Looks like a Bob Ross painting of Japan more than an ukiyo-e, especially with that gaudy frame. Great Wave was a better aesthetic IMO.
My first reaction was very positive. That being said, I'm actually a little put off by the use of the molded cloud and the minifigure wings. I guess my preference would have been to lean on more standard pieces.
So what's the original art this is based on, who was the artist?
Without that, it's kitsch decoration, created to please as many as possible without risking anything.

looks mostly great but the reflection of Fujiyama in the water doesn't quite work for me.
My dad got three silk paintings during leave in Japan back during the Vietnam War, and I got my pick of the three. I like it slightly more than this, but I like this a lot more than the other two.

This might be as close to a LEGO Bob Ross set as we'll ever get. Even the composition is very similar to many of his paintings.

No, no, I believe you'll find that these are cranebars.
The colors and parts usage along with display options and a way to change the waterfall positioning are all drawing away from the beautiful and articulate frame. If it was any other color that would probably garner attention away from the scenery. It has great depth and is curved along the front surface. Very well shaped and I can't wait to have it in my hands.
The Wizard of Oz one is tempting me pretty hard, but this isn’t guaranteed buy! It’s gorgeous & I love the waterfall flowing over the frame.
