By in Germany,

2,99 Euros per fig without any accessories? What an absolute rip-off! No way I am going to buy these, not even for the flesh pieces.

By in Germany,

Supposedly each bag should contain 6 parts so there should be some kind of accessory and the base plates I assume and hopefully it isn't just balls otherwise identifying the players will be impossible.

Edit: Just read the german press release: balls only (except for the clipboard). So only Jogi Löw, Manuel Neuer, Toni Kroos, Jerome Boateng and Sami Khedira have unique identifiers.

By in Germany,

Yes, every Player was named and if you look close at their backs: Everyone has his name printed on the back of his shirt. So every torso is unique. I don't like the amount of facial lines. Some do look like a Mark-Hamill-rip-off. :D

By in United Kingdom,

I like them and will certainly aim to pick them up via the forum or elsewhere. All the new hair piece colours and faces could be very useful so I might need to acquire two sets!

I am disappointed not to see the World Cup trophy included as an accessory though.

By in Germany,

Press release says there's a ball in each bag. Though I assume the coach will have his tactics tile instead.
Having ordered a full box, I'm glad I don't have to try to feel them...

By in Germany,

According to their press release, every bag contains the minifig, a ball and a plate (probably the same as in the collectibles bags).

I like them and I will be happy to have our Mannschaft sitting on my desk :)

By in Netherlands,

Das ist super cool! Definitely gonna pick this up in Germany!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

So which is which then? Someone tell me which of them is Mesut Ozil or Toni Krus. Unless they are easily identifiable as actual people surely the whole concept is pointless.

Gravatar
By in Singapore,

Looks better than expected.
In the latest photo/poster, Kroos is third from the right (back row) with Neuer being the first from the right.
Ozil is first from the left (middle row)

By in Germany,

We will be buying these...just hope it is easier to feel the individuals out than it looks like it will be...

By in Australia,

Imagine if they released a set of country themed teams in each of their major markets leading up to the next World Cup plus a re-release or update of the 1998 football field and grandstands.

By in United Arab Emirates,

cimddwc are you able to order another box and post to the UK?

No worries if not.

Thanks

By in Singapore,

Oh god...being a FOL who feels for my desired minifigure, this is total nightmare! Coach aside, the hairpieces are the only ones setting them apart, and on top of that some figures have the same hairpiece! Having balls would probably help, but it doesn't change the fact that this is a particularly hard series to feel your way out of.

That aside though, I expected much more accessories and uniqueness for each figure. Unlike the Disney series where there are a lot of new moulds, this series is made up entirely out of reused moulds in new colours (as far as I can tell, there are so much different hairpieces in Lego nowadays that it is hard to identify new one), so there should be no reason to include more accessories.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Cool stuff! Half of them probably end up not being at the EURO in the end :) But who cares...
I'll get some of them for sure.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

No new hairpieces...so disappointing.
The only thing I can see being interesting is the fact that there are different skin tones. But still...I won't be getting any of there.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Mesut Ozil is 8 not 3, will be picking one up.

Am I the only one happy that they all come with balls, need some more for my Great Ball Contraption.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

working out how I can get them from Germany...must be a way!

Gravatar
By in Malaysia,

Clearly Ozil is No.8. Why are people kept writing 3 on Ozil's shirt?
He never a No.3 shirt holder and No.3 are for Defenders. Gosh!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

All those new flesh heads and the hairpieces!! I guess I'll have to book my plane tickets...

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

I'm okay with them not having accessories, but now that you mentioned it, a World Cup mini-trophy would have been amazing! At least the price point is remaining the same, I was afraid it'd be higher due to their exclusivity and because of Adidas branding etc.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

@Oasisocs: Sorry, no. I'm getting my box from another LUG member who orders them through his local toy shop - months in advance, late December in this case.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

So my question is who/what actually sponsored/endorsed this series? Not FIFA I think right? Just the German National Football Association?

Gravatar
By in United States,

They look pretty good. Too bad I don't live there or like soccer. :P

Gravatar
By in Canada,

The appeal seems extremely limited. The British Olympics ones were generic and playable. These are... boring?

Gravatar
By in United States,

As an Argentine football fan, this post offends me :)

Seriously, though, I did thoroughly enjoy watching the German team dismantle Brazil at the last World Cup....

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

need all of these...

Can't understand why people don't see the appeal. Since when was football a niche market? These will be sought after for years to come.

If Lego partnered with the premier league, la liga etc sales would be insane.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

They should have done it for the clubs, I mean, 5 most popular players from most popular clubs

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Do we know what colour the baseplate will be: black like regular series CMFs, green to represent grass or some other colour? I'd like to get some green ones.

For those wondering how to get these minifigures outside the DACH region, your best bet will likely be BrickLink or Ebay.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These look fantastic! I think they will prove popular even with non-fans simply for the prospect of getting some varied flesh tones and hairstyles. Just a shame there's no Klose since he retired.

Gravatar
By in Indonesia,

No worries about the price guys, they'll be 50% off at least after EURO 2016 first round!

Gravatar
By in United States,

So they will only be available in Germany and not America?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Now we need American Football players...that could be interesting! Or baseball, since it is such an American sport.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Clearly being in US, I won't be picking any of these up. I don't care about soccer necessarily, but I always welcome new face skin tones/prints. New hair colors can work. But I couldn't imagine being able to find these cheap enough just for the heads to justify it.

Best of luck to the fans out there getting a complete set. This looks difficult. Granted, if you buy ALL that you see and open them, there might still be plenty of collectors that want an opened version/set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think this is a REALLY dumb idea and hope they aren't released in the US, just my opinion. Though the hair pieces are cool.

:edit: I did not see that they will only be released over in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Which is fine with me as i don't want them taking up a spot where another good series could go.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

If any German Austrian or Swiss AFOL wants to buy a few boxes they could probably easily sell or trade them here on the Brickset Forum.....

Gravatar
By in United States,

Maybe had it been an assortment including athletes and clubs across the EU... Barçce and Réal would have piqued my interest. But 16 of the German same-ol-same-ol and I'll pass. At least the UK Olympics team set had different Minifigs representing different sport.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

anyone know where ic an order a box of em?
