MOC pop-up store pilot now live on BrickLink
Posted by Huw,We've already mentioned this, but here's the official press release:
Fans may now order digital building instructions and choose to have loose elements fulfilled by either BrickLink Marketplace sellers or LEGO Pick a Brick for a limited time.
BrickLink is pleased to announce the launch of the MOC Pop-Up Store pilot, a test program that allows LEGO fans to purchase digital building instructions and loose elements of select BrickLink Designer Program submissions. Buyers will have the choice of ordering exclusively through BrickLink Marketplace sellers or a combination of Marketplace sellers and LEGO Pick a Brick. The program will run until mid-November, 2023, after which it will be evaluated and next steps considered.
41 fan designs from BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 were selected and are now available for purchase, with several more designs to be made available in October from Series 2. To see them all and order your favourites, visit the MOC Pop-Up Store page and watch this video explaining the checkout process.
For details and more information about the program and how it works, visit the MOC Pop-Up Store FAQ.

I used this when it just launched to get the Forest Citadel and have a few thoughts:
- There's a lot to like about the Pick a Brick integration, which can really make things a lot cheaper (plus you're guaranteed new and correct parts!).
- It's a shame they don't have a way of exporting the MOC part list into a Bricklink wishlist yet, because that'd really be a game changer. I had to make my own wishlist, then manually checked each cart against Pick a Brick and swapped parts out where PaB was cheaper, which saved me a good chunk of money.
- More of a broader point on Bricklink as a marketplace, but I really wish it let you check in the store itself how its prices compare to domestic and international (as well as PaB) prices. Right now there's no good quick of knowing whether you're getting a good deal on parts in a given store, and that makes the MOC Pop-up Store process a lot more tedious.
Still geolocked to US and select European countries :(

I'm sorta glad there is nothing that really catches my eye.
It's baffling that they can't at the very least make the digital instructions available worldwide.
Is this the place for people who thinks that Lego is not expensive enough??
I'm so thrilled - this meant I was finally able to order the Mini Golf course which I have believed in through each of its many nearly-made-into-a-set iterations. And the Medieval Stonemason's Guild, which I think is the best design of the Bricklink Invitationals yet.
It seems 9 more designs have been added now, from BDP Series 2 entries.
