Batman polybags

With news in the forum that Target in the USA is now stocking 30300 Batman Tumbler polybag, I thought I'd take a few photos of it and the other Batman polybag, 30301 Batwing.
Given the Tumbler is perhaps the coolest of Batman's vehicles, it's surprising that the only black minifig-scale one that's been made by LEGO is the one in 2008's 7888 The Tumbler: Joker's Ice Cream Surprise, which, even in 2008, was hard to come by, being available from shop.LEGO.com for only 6 months.
While we wait for another large-scale model of it, which might be sooner rather than later if rumours of a UCS version in the forum are to be believed, we'll have to make do with this micro-scale version.
I'm no expert but I reckon LEGO has done a pretty good job capturing the look of the vehicle with just 57-pieces.
The nose is a little wide: it would have been good if was just one brick wide but then of course there'd be no way to attach the wheels.
Black wheel hubs and engine would have been nice...
... but I'm nitpicking. It's a cool little model. Pick it up if you can.
30101 Batwing is available in Norway and possibly other Scandinavian countries, but no sign of it in the USA or Canada yet, as far as I know.
Again, it's a very nice rendition of the vehicle given the scale.
Look out for it in a shop, or newspaper promotion, near you soon...

Both of the models look great. I'll see if I can pick up one of the tumbler's on my next trip to Target.
@HUW - This is in no way related to this article, but the favricon for brickset.com is showing the default panels favricon (two vertical red bars) and not the old brickset.com favricon (red, yellow, and green 1x1 plates). Is this on purpose? I noticed it after the new site was down during the DNS attacks. I didn't see the report a problem form anywhere so I posted it here/
Looks like I'll be making a Target run soon.
^^ The favicon issue will be sorted with this week's release of the site on Friday (I'm trying to be disciplined and not make changes willy-nilly any more, just do one a week :-) )
It's occurring because the CDN has cached the one that was shown when the site was unavailable a couple of weekends ago.
I saw the tumbler at my local target yesterday, I bought two.
I still haven't seen the Tumbler at any of our Targets; I'm hoping to check another one tomorrow or Friday. That Batwing, though, is awesome. Thanks for the post!
They just hit utah late last week.
The friends bakery poly bag is also in the target easter area.
Tumbler looks pretty good from the side, but from the top looks too weird at the front. Batwing looks good as well.
Better check Target tomorrow for the Tumbler and Friends Bakery polybag, which is really the only Friends polybag I want.
I definitely want both! Sadly no signs of the Tumbler at any Targets near me. I even checked the larger city about an hour away, nothing there either. I guess I will have to bide my time.
All of my Targets still have tons of the Chima eagle polybag and tons of the TIE Fighter. I don't know if they'll put anything new out until those move, which they've been sitting there a long while!
The Batwing looks great. The flick-fire trans-blue "lightbulb" is only the second DC Universe set to have them, I understand? Anyway if they come out in the U.S. anytime soon, they'd be great to go along with the Batmobile polybag. A collection of the DC Universe polys would be nice as these are the only ones I don't have.
Got mine in the second target I checked. They still had lots of Chimayo and tie fighters out so my guess is that as soon as they get them they will put them out.
