Friends Advent Calendar - Day 16

Posted by ,

Thanks to yesterday's build, our pets won't go hungry, or at least wanting for warm food! The outdoor oven is ready to cater to all the pets' needs. It was also the first build in a few days. As we hit two-thirds of the way through the calendar, maybe we'll have another build, or will we meet another pet?

It looks like we have some accommodation for both minidolls and pets, with two chairs and a table. I really like that the table has a candle and some festive greenery, quite appropriate for a holiday table. I originally thought this would be for Autumn and Leo, but these chairs are low enough that I think the animals would be able to hop on them.

That's some very civilised pets the Friends have, sitting on chairs at a table to eat their meals.

I'd like to think the object on the table is just some coleslaw with a fancy spark fountain of the kind they bring out when it's someone's birthday in a restaurant. That's the food.

As I said when this Advent started, I'm working through last year's Friends AC, so my build today was this completely unremarkable penguin.

Deathflipper will remember this.

You mean, the emperor penguin sitting on his blood-soaked throne?

No. Just no. Minidolls have been on the market for 12 years now, however, they can't be properly seated on stuff like this. If there was a solution: okay gift. but there is none. Bas gift and designated loser of today.

Cats will sit and eat wherever their food has been placed. Dogs…will chase their bowls around the room.

And then, theres the one of my brother's girlfriend's cats, that has a habit to take her food out of the bowl just to eat from the floor. It get's worse when the pet food looks like a turd. Seriously, just witnessed it last week.

@jkb:
My first cat, Pepper (aka Death On Four Legs), was semi-feral, and not the most sociable cat in the world. She had a kitten who grew up to be an overweight pushover, but a bit of a mama’s boy. When it was time to feed them, she’d go for whichever bowl he wasn’t eating from. Then he’d notice they weren’t sharing a bowl, and he’d move over to hers. She’d growl (while eating, which sounds hilarious), and shift to the empty bowl. He’d realize she left, and move over to her bowl again. I’m a bit surprised that she never took a seat at him.
