City Advent Calendar - Day 14

Posted by ,

The last three days have been devoted to a gamer and their accoutrements for celebrating the holiday indoors. As we hit the two week mark of the calendar, let's open door number 14 to see if we're staying indoors with gamer or going elsewhere.

We have our fifth minifig of the calendar, and it's a very cute little girl. She's definitely dressed for being outdoors with her winter themed sweater and very warm beanie over her long hair. She has two accessories - a cell phone and some pet food. The pet food suggests that we might see a pet soon - unless it's for the reindeer?

Unfortunately, this isn't a double sided head either, but there is some nice printing on the back of the torso. I also like the skirt piece! It isn't all that common, and adds some nice flair to the outfit.

"what's this? a sacrifice for the Mighty Dreadflipper? The Ancient one thanks you for mediocre donation. NEXT!"

An up-to-date smartphone is very practical, kid-meat is tender and a cookie for dessert is sometimes just the thing you need. I'd expect Dreadflipper to be happy, now that he can play some sophisticated mobile games!

That's a lot of colors. Yet, I like it.

"Considering his status as a Very Elder Horror, I don't think Dreadflipper is comfortable around modern technology; it's highly likely that rotary phones and telegrams already confuse and enrage him. A fax might baffle him, a 14k4 modem might send him into a berserk frenzy, and a flip-phone... no, actually, he might like those. The Dreadflip-phone, I can see that being a thing.

But this brave little nipper with her fancy NokiPhone Galaxy 11 Alpha Dash Turbo, loaded to the brim with the Flapping Angry Birds and the Wubbersteps, and especially when combined with the banshee-wails of the Gamer's Twitch-stream - that might just be enough of a sonic irritant to deal a palpable hit to He Who Flips Further.

It might also explain why her clothing-style is SO NEEDLESSLY LOUD, but hey, she does own it."

Dreadflipper can still eat the girl. And the cookie.

Eh, kids. What can you do?

Y'know, everybody talks about how Dreadflipper is this horrible, ancient evil, but all I've actually seen him do is hijack some comment sections. The Pride Pony must be keeping him in check.

By in Netherlands,

Modern day red riding hood vibes.

'My grandmother, what small eyes you have!"

"I forgot my glasses. But these work better underwater."

'My grandmother, what big a mouth you have!"

"It's alright. You can call it a beak, my dear!"

"My grandmother, what big teeth you have!!!"

"Those are not teeth but grooves. So fish and small little children don't get out!"

Do you? Well, I don't. To my eyes these colours are all over the place.

Ha, ha. No doubt.

Yet, I hope that every little girl gets the chance to dress like this. Wild, crazy color combinations shows a dynamic personality and unconventional spirit both in the child and her understanding mother.

By in Poland,

My daughter loves this one. Also likes putting the hair piece on backwards. She finds it hysterical for some reason.

@TheOtherMike:
Well, according to what @Ridgeheart wrote, he also gives people the bird. Or he practices aquabatics. Or he’s in the rapid turnover real estate market. It’s a bit unclear at the moment which form of flipping he does.

I actually thought the Day 3 build was a dog dressed as a reindeer. Real strong Max from The Grinch vibe!
