Gravatar
By in United States,

The Triceratops Costume, Classic Detective and Fright Knight look awesome!

Also... GOAT!!!!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Does that detective come with a red herring? Clever.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That animal is the greatest of all time

Gravatar
By in United States,

The eye patch and glasses head is a level of disability representation I never would’ve expected from Lego. 2010 me would’ve definitely appreciated that. Maybe then I would’ve worn my eye patch more often and properly treated this lazy eye.

On top of that, I love the detective and the mushroom girl. And the GOAT!!!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Ha! I love that the film noir detective has a 'red herring' (shame about the boxes though)

Gravatar
By in United States,

GOOOAAAAATTTT! LET'S GOOOOOO!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Garmadon: The helicopter crash destabilised the entire area. And I'm not blaming anyone, but if I ever see that goat again, he and I are going to have words. And you can bet some of those words are going to have four letters, and I'm not talking about goat.

Excuse me, that's not a gargoyle. That's a harpy.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

Pretty good, super annoying that it's still in a box. Will only be getting Noir detective.

By in United States,

High on a hill was a wealthy goatherd
Layee odl, layee oh woe is me
Loud was the wail of the wealthy goatherd
Layee odl, layee odl-ohhhh
Danes in a town that was quite remote heard
Layee odl, layee oh woe is me
Anguish and sobs from the goatherd's throat heard

Layee odl, layee odl-oh woe is me
Oho layee odllee-oo
Oho layee odl ay!
Oho layee odllee-oo
Hododlleeoay!

A man with a part worth a big banknote heard
Layee odl, layee oh woe is me
Men with the rare critters by the tote heard
Layee odl, layee odl-ohhhh
Men with the Bricklink stores to devote heard
Layee odl, layee odl-oohhh
Men in the halls of the toy cutthroat heard
Layee odl, layee oh woe is me

One AFOL with great part bloat heard
Layee odl, layee odl-ohhhh
He yodeled back to the wealthy goatherd
Layee odl, layee odl-ohhhh
All your goats ain’t worth a lousy groat, heard?
Layee odl, layee oh woe is you
What a duet for a churl and goatherd
Layee odl, layee odl-oohhhhhhhhhhhhhh *sob*

(with apologies to Rodgers & Hammerstein)

By in United States,

The goat farmer, fright knight, and warrior are the only three I would buy. Of course due to the bags, I'll probably not get them, but they at least look cool. I'm especially happy to see the Dreamzzz sword recolored into realistic colors! I still wish the Ninjago time blades received a similar treatment.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Fright Knight?!?!?!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why did they put the holes in the boxes over THAT part of the minifigure bodies?

Gravatar
By in Slovakia,

I honestly love the fact that they found a way to snuck in a Poirot -like figure to their portfolio alongside the Orient Express without having to pay for the license for the book/movies :D

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I generally don't collect CMF's, but Basil the Bat Lord is hilarious, the Warrior is awesome and the Goat Farmer has a Goat.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Of interest to me: the Afghan Hound, the goat, the butterfly and the red herring (no red fish yet).

Gravatar
By in United States,

I would like to have the detective, butterfly, and the goat.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

Without the possibility to know which I would get, it ended for me after 13 years. :(

Gravatar
By in United States,

No more $200 dollar goats! Woohoo!

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's a shame nobody will ever find a goat in one of these. People are going to be ripping them open in stores (again) and stealing all the goats.

They should really put on a "secret" code for AFOLs to read (like the early CMF releases). It would stop so many people from ripping the stupid boxes open.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh, still in boxes? Guess I'm not buying any.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looks like another full set to be bought on the aftermarket so I don't have to mess with boxes

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yes! That’s what I’m talking about! That’s why it’s the goat! The GOOOOOAAAAAAAAT!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

As a fan of classic detective fiction, as well as someone who loved Spider-Man Noir in Into the Spider-verse (I was unfamiliar with the character before), I love the Noir Detective. The red herring is a hilarious touch. The Goat Farmer isn't actually of all that much interest to me, since I was one of the lucky few who managed to get 7189. The Train Guy is cute, and the Paralympic Athlete would look nice displayed next to 71032-12.

Gravatar
By in United States,

THE GOAT IS HERE!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don't know why that mushroom kid is so delightful, but I want one. I think I'll also go for the Bat Lord, although he manages to be just as goofy as his 1990s incarnation; the Triceratops for my Natural History Museum; and the goatherd. That's such a great, versatile figure, with a great, versatile accessory.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

When the Marvel series was released, the initial carnage of boxes seen at some stores was followed by tons of untouched almost full boxes week after week. At least that was my experience with Toys R Us in Canada, which is usually my go to store for CMFs. I was surprised to see so many boxes piled up untouched, before the boxes it seems to me CMFs were sold in larger numbers. If that's indicative of something perhaps sales may have been impacted by the new packaging (hard to say for sure, there are other factors that may play a role here, like current economy, etc.). Let's see how it goes with this series, I for one have lost a bit of interest in this theme with the new packaging, hopefully Lego will reconsider and eventually will add codes to the boxes to identify each character although it will take some time before we see changes (if any at all).

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Well, no Sci-Fi...but we're supposedly getting a WHOLE SET of CMF 'SPACE' this coming year...that said: like most of the charters in this one, still stinks about 'the box thing', and hopefully TLG will rethink/retool CMF packaging before they to far afield...:|

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hey, Lego found the goat mold...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Not quite the kind of harpy I was hoping for. Also, HOLY CLUTCH POWERS IT'S BASIL THE BAT LORD!!!!

It's the same at my local Walmart. When they were in bags, they would rapidly sell out every time they were restocked, now they sit there untouched.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

In much the same way that they took the baby spaceman from series 24 and released it in a regular set (the space rollercoaster), I suspect we might see that goat pop up again, say in a medievil set to be released in mid 2024. Purely speculation of course, but it seems unlikely that they would spend the money to recreate that mould without using in more than just a CMF series. I'm not going to wait for that to happen though :-)

25 series and STILL NO GOLFER!!! It's one of the world's most popular sports. It's starting to feel a bit political, Lego!

The goat fulfills a long-felt want, but the afghan hound is totally delightful! Oh, and the minifigures aren't half bad either.

Gravatar

For me, only Noir Detective.

It's so fitting that it's that character.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Best series in a while! I'll definitely have to get the Harpy, Mushroom Girl, Noir Detective, and Basil! Also great to see the goat finally back. Just a shame it's gotten harder to get what you want.

I think this might be the same butterfly from the botanical garden set!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The first time I read 'escort girl'. . Freud problably would have something to say about that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Goat!
Afghan Hound? !

Gravatar
By in Romania,

I don't know who designed this series, but give him a raise. It's the first Minifig series where I don't mind any of the minifigs. All of them have at least something I like except the weightlifter and the trainboy (and even then, I won't mind having one or 2 of them). It's a shame I can't mass the goats and basils and the harpies and warriors, but I think I won't regret buying a full box of this and get 3 of each, maybe gift my extras of the ones I don't like to a friend or sell them, depending how much they go for on the secondary market. Even the Esport girl has a nice Black Falcons torso I can use in nexo knights if not outright in a normal black falcons army.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Basil the Bat Lord Returns!

(still have the original in a display case on my desk, with the rest of the OG Racers crew)

Gravatar
By in Puerto Rico,

Triceratops Guy for my JW.

Can't think of him as anything else now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

'The Warrior' Barbarian woman is forever going to be Red Sonja to me after the classic swords and sorcery movie. Detective is a massive win for me too, simply because of the 'Red Herring' accessory.

Also, so glad I invested in a set of scales after getting too many dupes in the Marvel series, looks like its going to be usefull for the foreseeable future. Just hope that the stores don't get the same level of box destroyed carnage as last time.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Love the inclusion of the red herring :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Goat Farmer or Goat Herder?

Gravatar
By in Italy,

My favs are the goat and the doggo.
Oh wait, you said minifigs...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Will this cause the price of the original goat to drop?

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Yeah, updated Count Batlord!
I've been thinking of his bat-staff thingy as an axe for quite some time now...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I for one am glad to see busted boxes and their contents strewn around the shop aisles. Not that it's good to see shoplifting happening or find vandalized products for sale-- but this is a garbage product management and marketing strategy that will only change when corporate retail buyers make it painful for TLG—and horrid organic customer responses like we've seen puts on that pressure.

Also same for me at my stores. They were ravaged, but once the box breakers got what they wanted, people have very slowly been buying them. Normally they would have sold out numerous times and run out all of their stock, but they have only restocked once and they are just sitting on the shelves. I would assume it will be similar for this series. Boxes will be torn in the hunt for Basil, the goat, and maybe the warrior, but after a week or two it will calm down. I definitely agree that they aren't selling as well.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Goat!

Finally, Granny Weatherwax can have an (affordable!) goat on top of her privy!

Best news for a Discworld MOC in a long time.

I’m surprised there have been so many posts before someone mentioned Red Sonja. That’s the first thing I thought of after seeing that minifig.

I’ll be getting that one, Count Basil Batlord, the mushroom girl, triceratops costume guy, harpy and of course the goatherd despite already having a couple of goats. I’ve also invested in some pocket scales.

If anyone gets a box containing nothing but the avian monster, then they have a bad case of harpies! :~P

Gravatar
By in United States,

BASIL :o I feel like that's gonna be the most sought-after figure in the set. And for good reason. Basil the Bat Lord is a cool dude

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

I want that new Basil the Bat Lord figure so much!

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I hope they put a code on them or somethting to tell what one you are getting or there will be open boxes on shelf's again........
