I can't see how you know which nomination they are agreeing with? Is the 'like' tallied against all 4 nominations?

Best set: 21343 Viking Village (Rivendell and the Orient Express are probably better, but I don't want to nominate something I don't own!)
Best set <$40: 76265 Batwing - part of me just wanted to nominate the Series 24 or Disney 6-figure pack. I'm not super impressed with a lot of the <$40 sets this year. :P

Best GWP: 40581. It's not for everyone but for the fanbase, this is everything. I experienced pure joy when building it. I love the fact that this even exists so much.

Best minifig: now this is a tough one. I have decided to nominate DRM030 Izzie from the Dreamzzz theme, but NJO820 Sora and COLMAR14 Moon Knight are suuuuuuuper close. All feature phenomenal detail and Izzie and Sora both have excellent original designs with gorgeous color combos. I love Sora's cat theming and Moon Knight's fantastic resemblance to the source material, but overall I love Izzie best because of the very bold color choices that surprisingly create a rather balanced look on the whole, while still being a definite eye-catcher among other figs. The skirt and new hair components are just the cherry on top."

I agree, 41737 Beach Amusement Park is extraordinary (and was one of my top contenders for my own rankings).

$1-40 - 221 sets (if we included $0 entries like magazine gifts or gwps, this would be way too high)

Doesn't seem like the most consistent distribution, but it's a start. As a lot of the $40< nominations show, there are plenty of very good smaller sets. We should try to move away from the idea that bigger is always better. Doesn't make sense to complain that TLG is making bigger and bigger sets, and then turn around and endlessly gush about the biggest sets they made that year.

@Huw I love the addition of the GWP category this year. I also agree with some of the previous comments that it should be broken up by price category. Maybe do the same categories as your holiday gift recommendations ($0-25, 26-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201+). You could then do a runoff between all the winners (in which the 200+ winner would probably win every time). It would give recognition to sets that are outstanding in their price point. For example Botanical Gardens is easily the best set in the $51-100 range and there are a couple in the $100-200 range as well. They deserve to win for their price point but I wouldn't vote for them over Rivendell. Just my two cents. I know it's an impossible task. Thanks for all the hard work you are doing!

Fave set overall has to be 10316 Rivendell, as it is just a phenomenal build that although was expensive and took ages to build is just worth every single one of the 800$ spent on it.

Set under 40$ goes to 21243 Frozen Peaks, as it comes with SO MUCH GOOD STUFF. Between awesome parts, a goat (best mob), the strange emerald/turtle armour, and the stray returning even though the stray is missing the unique cloak. Have totally bought several of these just bc good deal for my minecraft Snow village MOC.

GWP is 40595 : Tribute to Galileo Galilei, just bc its neat to have a thing dedicated to Galileo.

Minifigure goes to either Moon Knight (COLMAR14) as we FINALLY have a MK figure and he was worth the wait, great prints and awesome headpiece or Elrond (LOR128) for basically the same reason. Honorable mention to the new P2 Rex although would be better if he wasn't in a 1000$ hunk of grey bricks.
