The New Year is always a happy time for LEGO fans because, after what seems like weeks of agonising wait, dozens of new sets are now available at LEGO.com.

Today you can order, for immediate dispatch, new Creator, DREAMZzz, Technic, Friends, Ninjago, Minecraft, Super Mario, Marvel, Star Wars and much more.

Furthermore, this month's GWP, 40681 Retro Food Truck, is available with any purchase of over £170, $190 or €190.

Hopefully, by the time you read this, our in stock at LEGO.com listing will have been updated with new data from LEGO's product feed, but if not you'll find all the new sets on the coming soon list.

Alternatively, you can of course view all the new sets at LEGO.com.

There are too many to list here individually, so I've picked a few that I'll be ordering (or have already reviewed) after the break.

Can the dragon be found at Walmart or Target?

Edit: forgot to say Happy New Year to those across the pond!! It’s still 4.5 hours until new year. How’s the future? How should I prepare?

@Huw the History Museum is on the "unreleased Lego sets" / forthcoming list viewable on the drop-down menu. I'm quite sure this set is actually available, and has been for a Month! I don't know why it shows up there...

I assumed it was an NBC crossover.

By in United Kingdom,

I'll be going to the LEGO store at Westfield Shepherds Bush. I hope to get there when they open. If you see someone in a red Classic Space T-shirt, that's probably me :~)

I'm hoping to get the Series 25 CMFs as well as 76277 War Machine Mech.

Happy and LEGO-y new year!

I think the world is fine if this is the case, but is Russia no longer considered a “major country”? The international dateline squeezes between Little Diomede Island (Alaska, USA) and Big Diomede Island (Russia), which are only only about 2.4 miles apart. Big Diomede sits at -11, but observes at +12 like New Zealand and a large chunk of eastern Russia.

@Lance_McCormick:
There was a peacock model built during one of the first two seasons of LMUS. I also think there was a challenge in one of the first three seasons that would result in one of the models being turned into a set.

Is the Retro Food Truck the only GWP? Previously, haven't the Chinese Zodiac animals been a January 1st GWP?

I meant the first major country to fully have welcomed it. Russia takes a lot longer because of how big it is and New Zealand is a lot smaller.

Oh, no Food Truck GWP for Australia?

Cool, guess I get to keep hold of my $$$ for a bit longer then.

Not new years yet for me still counting down but I’ll be ordering all the ninjago sets hopefully. What’s the threshold for the hotdog truck in The Dollar?

By in Australia,

Found out the Friends Mansion is a Lego exclusive :/ and at AU$350, that’s disappointing.

The last few years I've got have varied between 10th Jan and 1st Feb, so might be lucky and overlap or, most likely, will come next.

Perhaps my memory is faulty. I've been at the store on January first the last two years, but maybe the zodiac sets were later.
At any rate, the food truck doesn't interest me, which I guess is okay because there's not a lot of new sets that do.
Of course, I've already got four of the 2024 sets!

Fair enough. Technically, the US starts at +12 (Wake Island and Marshall Islands) and extends all the way to -12 (Howland Island and Baker Island, both uninhabited), so we span 24 hours with territories factored in. Earliest to celebrate were the Line Islands in Kiribati. At UTC+14, they actually celebrated New Years before American Samoa even started December 31st.

2023 - 40575 from Jan 15 to Jan 24?
2022 - 40491 from Jan 10 to Jan 27
2021 - 40417 from Feb 1 to Feb 14
2020 - 40355 from Jan 13 to ?
2019 - 40186 from Jan 28 to Feb 7
2018 - 40235 from Feb 16 to Feb 28

That’s just the ones that were available outside of Asia. CNY being based on the lunar calendar, the date shifts around a bit, ranging from January 21 to February 20, and running a total of 15 days. The GWP offers start as early as January 10, and run as late as February 28, so I’m not sure if they actually encompass CNY, but they clearly aren’t running the full festival each year.

By in United Kingdom,

I stayed up till midnight a lot last year, worried I'd miss out on sets if I didn't and it always proved not to be the case so this time I didn't bother and now I'm not sure whether to buy the food truck on eBay or get a couple of sets to get it off lego, or wait for the gwp dragon and hope the truck is still available as a gwp because the threshold will be different based on the prices.

By in Australia,

Happy New Year to all. I stayed up till 2am here in Australia and no GWP. Any fellow Aussies get the GWP or know what we’re getting here in Australia?

Chinese New Year comes later this year, February 10th, so would presume it would be a mid-January GWP.

Would've been nice to at least get it if purchasing a Lunar new Year/CTF set on January 1st.

A few days in and it looks like we're getting the 'Sucks to be You' GWP for January. Bit disappointing really.
