Many LEGO set designers use our BrickLists feature to maintain a list of the sets they've worked on and often provide interesting insights about their involvement.

Once a week we publish an entry from one of their lists on the home page to increase awareness of this information and to encourage more designers to create them.

Aron Gerencser wrote this about their work on 21256 The Frog House:

Another amphibian Minecraft mob house - I designed the sketch model for this one, and was going for a sort of stilt house vibe, having the structure stand at a bit of an elevation off the ground instead of down flat, to fit the implied swampy environment. Being straight up a huge frog, and standing on its froggy legs, made getting it stable a bit more interesting than usual! With the mouth doubling as a sort of veranda and entrance, it only made sense to make the stairs red - who wouldn't love entering their frog house on a tongue? You also get one each of all three flavours of Minecraft frog!
The model was finalized by Markus Rollbühler. Graphics by Anthony Palamaro.

If you're a LEGO designer and you'd like to create a list of sets you've worked on, find out how to.

If you're a LEGO designer and you've already created a list you can opt in to having your notes included in this series of articles by editing the list and giving consent.

By in Netherlands,

I've been told designers at lego are a bit obsessed with frogs. I now fully believe them!

And this doesn't even contain the standard frog element!

I find most Minecraft sets uninspiring. But, I do love those little frogs!

I didn't know frogs had a flavor.

I don't play Minecraft or collect Lego Minecraft sets, but I really appreciate how modern sets have moved beyond the standard sorts of auto-generated structures and rudimentary shelters from the early sets into more creative, custom structures like you might see actual players design.

Those eyes on the giant frog... looking at them, they kind of remind me of Junkbot. Kind of very slightly.

And now I've just spent like two hours playing Junkbot this evening (or the sequel, Junkbot Undercover, rather) because being reminded of that made me nostalgic xD Oh well, there are definitely worse ways to spend an evening...

Licking frogs can take you on a wild ride.

I thought that was Toads? (As in Disneyland ride 'Mr. Toads Wild Ride')

'We're merrily, merrily, merrily,
merrily, merrily on our way, and we may
be going to Devonshire, to Lancashire, to Worcestershire
We're not so sure, but what do we care, we're only sure we got to be there!
We're merrily on our way to nowhere at all!'
