By in Netherlands,

I'm sure these will be a big hit with the intended audience! My boy loved watching Peppa Pig back in the day (when he was 3-5 years old) but he's almost 8 now and more into Harry Potter. I'm sure he would have loved all of these sets. I actually wouldn't mind getting the figures together myself, even if I'm less keen on the sets. Jokes in Peppa Pig can be pretty hilarious, even for grown-ups.

Nope. Nope. Nope. All well going well until I saw that Daddy Pig's body is not anatomically correct with the show.

Daddy pig has a big belly. Everyone loves Daddy Pig's big belly.

In the pies section.

It's been a long time since I watched Peppa Pig but fair play to Daddy Pig for finally getting into shape.

At last, after months of knowing what was about to come, we finally witness it. And friends, it is more horrific than we ever could have imagined.

It's a sign of the end times! Hoard you drinking water! Stash away precious metals! Obtain plenty of canned food and don't forget your can opener! Build a fallout shelter! Beware of radioactive mutants! etc...

'It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine!'

By in United States,

... They actually produced what seems like a fully molded component for the car. Whatever happened to disassembly and brick-built cars here?

Gravatar
By in Brazil,

My niece will love these.

We demand Bluey!

Gravatar
By in Latvia,

I am disappointed.
George appears in two sets, but Mr. Dinosaur is in neither of them...
Such a missed opportunity!

Not Duplo though. Something in the style of mario would work well, I imagine.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Never payed attention to Duplo.
But bored so decided to have a look.

Is ~ £1/$1 per piece usual?? That seems insane!

Gravatar
By in France,

My daughter never was into Peppa Pig herself but I can imagine this line being a hit, the sets are well made to play with.

Yay, Bluey course building system with electronic figures!

By in Germany,

Daddy Pig has spent way too much time in the gym it seems.

Gravatar
By in United States,

That giant candle really threw off my brain with the scale of things. Maybe that’s from the show, who knows.

Gravatar
By in Spain,

It is a theme that is arriving late. Peppa is out of fashion. Now the cool one is Bluey.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

I can't believe a bunch of fully grown adults are having joy over a baby's toy.

(At least normal Lego is harder to build and has an 18+ range)

Gravatar
By in Spain,

I don't know who had the previous license

But the former sets I have seen in toy shops and bazaars had better appearance

Gravatar
By in United States,

It's funny how even though these comments are mostly making fun of the theme, there are still more likes for the article than comments.

Only 10 years until they sort out access to the bluey IP.

No Mrs Rabbit, no sale.

That's average for Duplo. Parts are 2x the equivalent System piece, so 8x the volume. Plus, all prints (no stickers).

By in Canada,

I... I need these. I think the only Duplo I currently own is the set from TLM2, but absolutely need Peppa Lego figures. I couldn't even explain why. I've just got to have these.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Some 2D cartoon characters just don’t work in three dimensions. Simpsons is a stretch and barely works, Peppa Pig not at all. Bluey works better than most. It’s probably the lines in the drawing not being there in a three dimensional model.

Gravatar
By in Poland,

Another proof lego is becoming souless.
BLUEY IS RIGHT THERE.

Obviously you never saw other Peppa Pig toys before - it's always like that.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

There are already loads of Peppa Pig toys on the toy shelves over the last 15 years, so why do we need another format of the same house, boat, car etc.?

We don't. But LEGO needs it to dominate the 2-3 year old market as adults are buying toys for their kids / grandkids from the wrong companies.

When I say "baby's toys" I mean DUPLO, not normal Lego.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

I myself have no intention of buying these but I gaurantee you they will be VERY popular with the intended target audience.

As for the car being a single piece, Duplo vehicles are pretty much always single piece these days (or maybe a few pieces e.g. a truck as a single piece and then other pieces that go on the back)
