Gonna grab tournament training, anyone got any other recommendations from the list?

By in United Kingdom,

Not from that list but there are other polybags in the 3 for £10 category on their website. Some of the others may float your boat.

I ordered mine this morning.

Because if you buy them by the box of 30 they are cheap and if you order 10 boxes of 30 then they are really cheap. Especially ones that were destined to be magazine/comic polybags, you can often pick those up for about £1.20 a piece from bulk sellers in Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. Polybags are low margin but high volume items.

From the razbrickzel subconscious + the all-sight of the Counselor:

This is just another capitalist ploy to separate us from our hard-earned resources.

Undoubtedly, from this maneuver, Huw will just get another e-luxury-mobile/tower of greed that allows him to refer to Americans as 'cash cows' or something of that ilk.

Am I about right?

EDIT: the fact that this post is still here is testament to how fantastic Huw truly is.

Give him your money!

I think the shipping cost is more to do with Brickabrac being based in the UK. Finland is not in the UK. International shipping is not cheap.

By in United Kingdom,

One presumes if one were to order from Finland to The UK the charges would be similarly high. Sadly, postage costs appear to grow year on year and have an ever increasing impact on smaller companies trying to trade internationally.

Do not ever let anything I say move you to anything other than laughter. Unless, you were already otherwise inclined.

Edit: only the UK is in the UK, and barely at that.

Do you not have the same term in US English? Bric-a-brac here means cheap sentimental knick knacks, often displayed by grannies on their mantelpieces.

'Bric-a-brac' is commonly used in the US. My family also uses 'knick knacks.' My wife's family says 'tchotchkes.'

In my family, Tchotchkes was the partner to Hutch and knick knacks were only leveraged if otherwise short on paddy whacks.

You gotta have a good hutch... or china cabinet. Where else are all those amorphous blobs of weirdly-painted clay from 3rd Grade going to stored?

If you make fun of ny childhood sculptures, my mom'll give you a paddy whack.

£75 IIRC

BTW, bric a brac is another loanword from French hence the strangeness of the term.

My elementary Spanish teacher blew a gasket when we sang the song to the Monchichi commercial.

"'Monchichi, oh so soft and cudd-ly. I love you, Monchichi!!"
