By in Germany,

Meh. For a 15th anniversary, this is disappointing.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

^ Lego don't has to do any promotion or giveaways. So I think this is a pretty cool offer. Got myself a Police Gunship, a Microfighter and Revan. I was tempted to order a Deathstar, too.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

$100 and over for the Darth Revan in Australia. Not hard to go over that amount though.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I might buy a couple of Death Stars hoping they retire this year...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

My first time buying during the May 4th promotion! Got myself the Death Star, was going to buy it anyway (eventually) so why not take advantage of the 15% discount!

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Well, i'm an excited LEGO fan in Australia because our prices are so inflated, 15% is awesome here! Plus, to save over $100 on the Death Star and the SSD, now that is super!
I ordered my Sandcrawler this morning, and I'll be ordering a Death Star before the week is out.

Next time someone wants to whinge about the price of LEGO, check out what we pay here and realise how good you have it!!!

By in United Kingdom,

A good price for and a good time to get the Death Star. It must be retiring soon as its been around for ages - seven years is it now? If I didn't already have one then that would be the one to go for.

I just wish I could justify a Sandcrawler purchase but the Darth Revan minifigure just doesn't tempt me. Now if Lego had made a bit more out of the event by doing some sort of trilogy minifigure like the chrome Darth Vader or TC-14 then I'd have been all over it. Maybe a limited edition Emperor or Lando even.

Darth Revan? Nah.

By in Puerto Rico,

Isn't Darth Revan no longer considered cannon by LucasFilm? Anyways I am dissapointed to have to wait for this.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Got my Darth Revan with three sets. I'd love the Death Star but can't justify the expense.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I love the star wars expanded universe so I will deffingetly be spending my money on that figure, also Darth Revan does not technicly exist in the current star wars universe because Disney announced that all non movie or clone wars was a different universe

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

My Darth Revan is on the way

Bought the Star Hopper as it's an exclusive and reduced too - Bit harder to get less than retail price anywhere else. Bulked up the order with Orphan Annie's Jedi Interceptor

With it being fifteen years I thought they might have included a polybag minibuild like the ARC-170 or Imperial Shuttle... I know they are doing a minibuild giveaway in stores of the green Jedi Interceptor. The year we got TC14 they gave away TIE Fighter polybags?

The reductions were better last Black Friday/Cyber Monday on sets like the UCS X-Wing - glad I bought mine then ;-)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Impossible to resist buying the Death Star at that price!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^ I panicked and got my Death Star last year... It's a better price this year!

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I *want* to buy something to get the Darth Revan Figure, but really the offers are too poor! OK, so getting a discount on the Sandcrawler was never going to happen, but it costs more than the Death Star? Is it really *that* good?

For a 15th anniversary event this is a very poor showing. I was hoping for the Ewok Village at a discount, but it being left out just makes the cynic in me think that this is more an 'old lines' clearance than it is an anniversary event.

Unfortunately it makes more sense getting Darth Revan off ebay for £15 and buying other sets when I'm ready - usually at significantly greater than 15% off the RRP.

What happened to the good old days where you got real offers?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Decided to take the plunge and got the Sandcrawler, but with £50 VIP points in the bank it makes the purchase price more reasonable. Would have preferred a trilogy minifig for display rather then something else for the investment box!

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Nothing too special. I was hoping for the Ewok Village 15% off.
Maybe later this year on Black Friday. :)

The minifig is not that important that I spend 55 € at LEGO. It should have been a golden C-3PO, a hologramm darth vader/palpatine, ghost Ben Kenobi/Anakin or something else I can relate to (like Mara Jade from the EU).

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I bought the Ewok Village last month so I'm pleased that hasn't been discounted or I'd have been pretty gutted at missing out. But I agree I'm just not that fussed about a Darth Revan minifigure. I know Lego don't have to give people anything but if they want to encourage people to buy the sets they have to offer an incentive which is what they've done here. I'd have just preferred an OT minifigure but that's my preference. As someone else said a special edition Lando would have been cool, or a Greedo figure maybe.

Gravatar
By in United States,

We only get three days this year and I do not remember anything about 15% off in my mailer here in the states.

Gravatar
By in United States,

This will be the first year I don't take advantage of the May 4 sales. So sad. This is due to the X-Wing UCS remake. With so many deserving ships I hope they don't just continue with UCS remakes. I will get the Slave I (even though I don't really like that ship), but how about more from Ep 1-3?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Yep, it looks like Europe has a slightly better promotion.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

What a shame the new B-Wing isn't available yet.

I saw the poster on another site and hated it. An ugly poster and a non-canon minifigure aren't enough to tempt me to spend hundreds of dollars.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Just bought the Simpsons house and the Grand caroussel For 320€ from eBay...enoughnfor this month..

Gravatar
By in United States,

Darth Ravin goes well with Darth Malgus, Maul, Vader, Palpatine, etc. It's the reason I'll be there. Hope the Ewok Village is on sale in the US.

It seems like they are kicking up the rate of exclusive releases.

Gravatar
By in Russian Federation,

Hmm, can you tell me more information?
"Entry to a prize draw to win all the currently available UCS sets, including the Sandcrawler"
What does it mean? How can I win a prize?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

"To enter, simply make a LEGO Star Wars™ purchase as a registered LEGO VIP in a LEGO Store or via LEGO.com/shop, 28th April to 4th May. "

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I'm hoping the 15% off is for US and Canada as well, I cant wait to get this minifigure though.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I was hoping for something akin to the 50% off B-Wing from last year. I already have the UCS X-Wing, so this is good news for me--it'll be that much easier to buy Benny's Spaceship when it finally comes out. I wasn't aware Lego did a black friday/cyber monday event, good to know...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I REALLY wanted the Ewok Village to be on offer. I have the Death Star already from the discount last year on Black Friday (20% off). I've opted for the UCS R2-D2 as it looks like it will be a lovely display piece in my office.

The Super Star Destroyer is now end of life but I cannot justify the discount £300 purchase.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A great opportunity to pick up some big sets, if not for future investment then for a personal collection, to get both the Death Star and a SSD for around £530 is great plus it's £25 of VIP points

Gravatar
By in Ireland,

Remember that the UK LLEGO.com price is already extremely competitive v rest of Europe. Its Stg£233 for the death star on sale v €365 in Ireland on sale (€357 in Germany)

Gravatar
By in United States,

Hmm, I'm interested in the Darth Revan figure, but he will probably suffer the same fate as the Clone Lieutenant. Also, for all those out there, he IS canon.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I have intentions to get the Tri-fighter, the V-wing, the battle of Selucami, and maybe something small to push me over the line so I get the Revan figure. Sadly, I'm in college now so there is probably a better use for my money. Maybe I'll see reason by the time the sale reaches the US.

BTW Blockland, in light of the recent news released by Lucas film. Everything T-canon or lower is no longer canon. Unfortunately that includes Revan. That being said, he's still an awesome character whether he is part of official story or not and I would love to get my hands on the fig regardless.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

I think I will pass on this promo, nothing worth for me to by even on 15% sale. In addition this Darth Revan figure is not tempting at all.
I just see that 10188 Death Star and 10221 SSD is out of stock now.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Canon, non-Canon... Doesn't interest me. I've loved Star Wars since seeing Star Wars in the cinemas in 1977 (it wasn't called Episode IV: A New Hope either) and with subsequent releases of newer movies and Lucasfilm spinoffs there are some characters and plots that are Canon that are utter s@*t! Ewoks?! Duloks? Gungans?!

Vader creates Threepio as a child, Threepio escapes Vader's clutches with Artoo and Death Star plans - Death Star blown up?!? Same droid liaises with Ewoks and the furry critters take down the Imperial ground forces on Endor - Death Star II blown up!?! C'mon, the entire Star Wars universe is silly, Expanded or not!

> Free 5002123 Darth Revan minifigure with Star Wars orders of £50 or more. (€55 in Europe).

I am so happy someone finally flat-out admitted the UK is not part of Europe.

(^_^)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

@primetime What you are basically saying is if they had made a chromed Jawa every one would cream themselves and Sandcrawler sales would have been 4 fold.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I really hope the Death Star will be discounted in the USA this year. Last year, US didn't get any UCS sets discounted during the May 4th promos.

I understand they are UCS sets but I just can't seem to justify spending $450 (including taxes and shipping) on a Star Wars set. According to calculations, the $400 sets with 15% discount may cost just $340, but that still is pretty expensive for a LEGO. Then again, I bought the 4,287 piece Tower Bridge set...

Not really excited about Darth Revan, was HOPING it would have been either the reddish-brown protocol droid that was revealed earlier this year (TC-4?), or perhaps a polybag set like 30247 Mini ARC-170 Starfighter...

By in Czechia,

Does anybody know the history of LEGO VIP double or triple points awards? I will wait with buying the SandCrawler set until LEGO doubles or triples the VIP point rewards. Is it a rule that at least once a year there is going to be triple VIP points award? When was it last time? at Halloween? Is there a page with "the history of LEGO VIP point awards"? Google did not help much :( thank you.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

^^ In the UK, double VIP points tends to be in October. I've never seen triple VIP points.

Gravatar
By in United States,

There was a very brief triple VIP points in the USA towards the end of last year. I think it may have been Cyber Monday...I'll go check.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Too bad the Mos Eisley Cantina has not been released yet. As mentioned above, nothing about 15% off on the US version of the LEGO website, just a vague Sale on "Select Items, While Supplies Last" statement with no link.

And to sympathize with anyone complaining about Revan no longer being in the Star Wars canon, they're bringing back Chewbacca for Episode VII, set 5 years AFTER he dies in the canon timeline, for goodness sake!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Discount will be in US/Canada also. Poster and figure as well. I'm sure the Darth Revan figure was probably already in production when Disney made the announcement. I like the Darth Revan figure because there just aren't that many Imperial bad guys to collect and I hate ending up with a ton of the same figure. I don't need multiple Boba Fetts, Vader, Maul, etc. It would've made sense to have it be a figure from the first run but I will take a free unique figure over another version of one I already have. My understanding is that the same sets that are on sale in Europe/Australia will be the ones on sale in North America. If you want to see what is on sale there, just go to Lego.com and change the country on the drop down in the top right of the screen.
I also agree that while it would have been nice to see the Summer sets in this promotion, Lego doesn't decide when May 4th happens, so we can't blame them. I'm all about any discount or deal when it comes to Lego so I will be a pretty happy guy come this weekend.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is anyone with a VIP account able to get a sneak preview of the US promo?

Gravatar
By in Czech Republic,

I picked up the 75025 Jedi Defender, it goes well with the Darth Revan, looks great, has a ton of minifigs and has a nice ppp. On top of that with the sale its almost half the regular price we get here.
