By in United States,

They sound pretty fun! In a way, disappointed that the idea of brand-themed lines (Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc?) won't continue (at least now), but also happy to see fun new ideas. Only a few look like rehashes or gender-swapped remakes, so yay!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I like it! Sounds like a good line up to me!

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Sounds this could be one of the best series yet! Can't wait!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sounds plausible.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Sounds much better then the current one...

Gravatar
By in Viet Nam,

This sounds great! Can't wait for it to come!

Gravatar
By in United States,

Looking forward to Series 12!! I've missed the "regular" CMF line.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Reading down the list it looks like I want at least half of them

Gravatar
By in United States,

Only two that interest me from the list is Pizza Delivery Guy and Video Game Guy. Especially with the $1 increase, I will only get the ones I really want from now on.

Gravatar
By in Australia,

Some of these sound awfully similar to previous minifigures. I hope the battle goddess looks like a typical female character from any MMORPG although I don't think this is likely. I'm really looking forward to the jester.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Personally, I'm quite excited by this series line-up. I also have some seen some more evidence which lends credence to the idea that these are the series 12 figures. (Can't cite the source, sorry)

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

I guess I'm honest enough to say that I have mixed feelings about this rumor list, and I won't say this is a perfect combination of a series even though we've been waiting for a long time.
> Pizza Delivery Man
Well, the highlight might be new uniform and pizza prints. No new parts I guess.
> Fairytale Princess
The only difference is how TLG highlight the idea of "fairytale" in order to diifferentiate from normal Castle princess's. It's a shame for TLG that there have been many Belville figures and Disney miniolls featuring fairytale heroines, and they should have made already kind of characters in regular minifigure sets, not in CMF now.
> Swashbuckler
We don't lack sword users, but Swashbuckler the word often describe ladies, so it might be a welcome female power addition to Castle or Pirates.
> Wizard, Jester
Sounds like another rehashing nightmare after the Pirate Captain. Just hope that TLG will give us a new design.
> Dino Tracker
A redemption for Jurassic? Hope that a Dino baby is coming along.
> Spooky Girl
Sounds like a counterpart to Hippie? Hope that this would be a good addition to City.
> Rock Star
I know FOLs would say that the more band members the better. My expectation is to see an unused hairstyle from Rock Band and a new type of instruments like Keytar.
> Video Game Guy
Really depends on phisycal designs. It has a very big chance to be another Skydiver.

By in United Kingdom,

I think the move from $3 to $4 is a mistake. At $3, it's easy to just grab a few and not care about the cost. Just the slight increase to $4 will make me think "do I really need this?" and less of an impulse buy. As a result I'll probably end up spending a lot less on minifigs overall. On a similar note, when I lived in Putney, I used to get 20 pound parking tickets ALL the time where I lived. I must have got about 20 in the space of a year because it was worth risking 20 quid to not have to get out of bed to move the car in the morning, or spend time hunting for a "safe" space the night before. However, one day they increased to fine to 30 quid a ticket. It turned out to be the best thing they ever did cos I never got another ticket. All of a sudden 30 quid seemed like a fair chunk of change, so from then on I'd make damn sure I wasn't going to be hit with a ticket. I'm sure I'll still get SOME minifigs, but nowhere near as many. Hell - for just $1 more you can get a friends animal set :)

Gravatar
By in United States,

I've got the complete Series 1-11, all of TLM figures except one (and am collecting the Simpsons, but will be a gift to a friend). I definitely would like to get these, but will be much more careful on doing the "feel" method or the bump codes to try to avoid duplicates on this one.
I wonder if the battle goddess would be something like the Greek Goddess Artemis, or maybe an Amazon or something like that (I heard these titles were a translation so may not be exact).

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Very cool, I can't wait to buy them! I'm glad they're back to the CMF line and not a series (although I will give Lego all my money to get a super heroes series). I hope we see some pictures soon.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Come on, these are just special codes for new Simpsons minfigs!
Space Miner = Principal Skinner
Battle Goddess = Mrs. Krabappel
Wizard = Professor Frink
Dino Tracker = Reverend Lovejoy
Swashbuckler = Smithers
Jester = Sideshow Bob
Piggy Guy = Barney
Hun Warrior = Snake
Fairytale Princess = Sherri (or Terri)
Pizza Delivery Man = Otto
Video Game Guy = Comic Book Guy
Spooky Girl = Boobarella
Prospector = Moe
Genie Girl = Manjula
Rock Star = Disco Stu
Lifeguard = Duffman

Gravatar
By in United States,

I think the4 dollar price on the Simpsons minifigure may have only been cause they were licensed hoping they will go back to3 bucks tho and this sets sounds ok

Gravatar
By in Australia,

These sound really interesting. If this is true, I'm onboard. I didn't much like the Movie line, and haven't picked up any of the Simpsons ones (and probably won't), but these sound great. A battle goddess? Awesome.

Gravatar
By in United States,

i think lego has gone to far with this, they cost way to much, and are lack luster. The only ones i will buy from now on is Themed sets, like dc and marvel superheroes, lotr, the hobbit, star wars.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Isn't the 4$ price only for the Simpsons minifigs? I thought they were only that much because of the license and molded parts.

Anyway, the Dino tracker particularly caught me eye, but pizza man and video game guy sound good too. Who knows, maybe he will look like AVGN.

Gravatar
By in United States,

i hope that these are right. i also hope they will have a new video game pice.

Gravatar
By in United States,

At NY Toy Fair the stated price (US) was $3.99 for series 12. Same as The Simpsons.

The price hike for the licensed Simpsons is understandable, but I still was not happy spending $64 for the complete set. There's no way I'll be spending $64 to complete this wave. I'll just pick and choose some of my favorites.

I just picked up the Spider-man Glider polybag at TRU for $4. That had a minifig and 45 pieces. And it was a licensed set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

"Space Miner"
M-TRON?!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm REALLY hoping that the Space Miner is a Rock Raider, that was my fav' line as a kid. If it is, I'm gonna flip and get as many as I can.

Video game guy? I sure hope he has a game controller or something of the like.

Dino tracker huh? Maybe he will look like a character from Jurassic Park, and come with a newly molded small dino, that'd be pretty cool.

Jester, Wizard, Princess:
Castle is my main theme, I have plenty of these already and hardly use them. Unless they are particularly interesting, I probably won't get them.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Sounds like a good series, I the think the best ones are probably Pig suit guy,Dino Tracker,Space Miner,Pizza delivery guy,Video Game guy and the Wizard.:P

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

"Genie Girl" - really?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

According to a Hungarian poster on Eurobricks, "Swashbuckler" is a mistranslation; it should be "adventurer". The rest are all correctly translated according to the same poster.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Swashbucklers are not female, it is a semi-generic term for a swordsman/woman. It has it's origins in swordsmen who used a rapier which the scabbard for which was strapped with a large buckle - and really only became popular in literature and of course in the films of Errol Flynn etc.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's about time they did a cricketer isn't it?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Yes, yes, yes, yes yes! This list sounds almost too good to be true! As long as we get NEW parts, existing parts in NEW colours then I'll be happy. If the price increase stays... I won't be so happy.

Gravatar
By in Hungary,

I am the poster from eurobricks regarding the swashbuckler/adventurer. As I said there, I don't know which list has been translated from which language. So either swashbuckler was translated INTO the hungarian word of adventurer, or vica versa. Either way, we will know as soon as we see pictures :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Space miner sounds promising, maybe a Rock Raiders throwback? Also intrigued by pizza delivery guy, reminds me of the classic Lego Island game.

Gravatar
By in Germany,

A nice list, althought the "Genie Girl" and "Lifeguard" sound like very obvious remakes of previous figures. This makes the list sound quite realistic though, because we have seen this kind of remake before.

If the "Video Game Guy" will look like the Angry Video Game Nerd, I'm buying ten! :D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Sounds Like a nice selection of new figures. Shame the film/tv ones ave for now finished, but good to see a return of the collectable minifigures.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Oh, heads up, to all of you guys curious about how the video game guys looks. From what I have seen, he has a grinning head with "nerdish" glasses, a version of the hairpiece which features headphones with the headphones in silver and dark brown hair, a black shirt which says "PLAYER 1" and features the multicolored arms cast in black and dark gray, a white 1x2 tile printed like a "classic" video game controller, and sand blue jeans.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Sounds great! Not a fan of the Simpsons - haven't bought one of them. Ready for more minifigs I can add to my AFOL city! Nate the Great of Lego in a previous comment mentions a $1 increase. I thought this was due to licensing reasons with the Simpsons. Will this price increase continue with non-licensed lines? If so, I may buy just the ones I want on Bricklink. @Huw, do you know if the price increase will stand for the new line of minifigs?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Are they linked to the new minifigures online game? It is coming out this summer.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

I know here in Canada they are priced for 3.99 going forward for this year at least. It's still pretty reasonable for unique figs that are not from any of the current themes.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Want Piggy Guy anyway, more so if it has curly tail like a Chima tail and/or a pink chest armor with darker pink dots.

Gravatar
By in Finland,

Sounds a bit too good to be true, I don't want to raise my hopes yet.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The gun warrior is probably just some other historical warrior with a shield/sword/spear and and angry expression on its face. I see a lot of repeats but the space miner and piggy guy might be cool.

Gravatar
By in United States,

While I liked the idea of TLM CMF and now the Simpsons CMF line I enjoy the fact that there will be a "regular" CMF line again. This gives me a chance to get some cool figures that I would not noramlly get. I do not think ( and would be excited if I was wrong) that there will be a Star Wars CMF line. The idea of a Marvel line would be pretty cool becasue it would give you a chance to get all of the char that were not deemed cool enough for their own sets, same with DC. I would rather there be more of a theme with the CMF that could fit into different themes for a city (to go with sets that are coming out in the next wave of sets)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Whoop Whoop Whoop!!! some awesome minifigures in this line up!! can't wait for them!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

I'm going to guess this lifeguard is a male one, as the last one was a female who was a Pamela Anderson look-alike. Let me guess, this one will look like Hasselhoff.

But too many seem as though they've been done before. There already was a rockstar, and a disco guy.

Gravatar
By in United States,

^We can only hope they include LEGO chest hair like the Hoff. That'd make that upper torso stand out.

The Toy Fair showed a price increase across the CMF line, so this will have that too. I can only imagine the price of making them is increasing, so they are passing it off to us also. They already increased the early series to the now current price, so another price increase was inevitable.

Yes, there are some that sound like rehashes, but that is to be expected in the CMF line. Plenty of the figures have a counterpart. We won't know how they look until pictures surface.

Since this is linked to the game they have, I assume these figures are playable? I was hoping for some of those evil orc like creatures I saw pictures of when the game was first being discussed.

But at this price point, it stings a bit trying to get the full set. Forget about buying extras. For every 3 minifigures you buy, that used to be another one you could get. So for a full set of 16 (=$16, that is another 5 figures you used to be able to get). It really adds up.

By in United States,

I want to see the Genie and Spooky girls. I wonder if we'll see the smoky tail in a new color. I don't know what "Spooky Girl" may mean, but I hope it's more supernatural than goth. The Battle Goddess may be like the Greek goddess Athena. It could have the CMF Medusa's head printed on a shield! I hope the Wizard and Jester are unique.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A space miner is a bit of an odd choice.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Excited for the regular CMF line, the themes are fun, but I like the variety in the normal CMFs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@8BrickMario

I'm guessing the Genie Girl will be red/pink/purple with a new smoky tail in that color. Even though it's a rehash, I'm looking forward to that one. The "Spooky Girl" I imagine is a very stereotypical goth kid.

I'm hoping for something like this

http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090905095830/southpark/images/c/cd/Goth_Kids.png

I'm pretty disappointed with the price hike. $4 is how much most polybags sell for at Five Below, Target, etc. It's harder to justify the price per piece when there are actual tiny SETS that cost the same as one minifig. I really hope people speak up if this bothers them. If Lego needs to balance prices to compensate for molds, this is the wrong way to do it in my opinion.

Like Sethro3 says, you used to be able to complete a set with a few doubles with the same amount of money it will now take to complete the set. The hike of a quarter would be negligible, $1 is rough.

Gravatar
By in Guatemala,

Genial! :D

Gravatar
By in United States,

...and no one has mentioned the hun? Sounds like one I might try and get multiples of, and I hardly ever buy CMFs.

Gravatar
By in United States,

what do you mean?

Gravatar
By in United States,

@legodude
I'm not in closed beta. I saw the minifigure in some gameplay footage somebody posted on YouTube.

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

Is the price hike a sure thing? The jump from $3 to $4 on the last series could be rationalized with the argument that the licensing needed to be covered. But without that, there's really no grounds for them being that expensive. Considering that these were $2 back in 2010, doubling the price in just 4 years is insane.

Of course, if people keep buying them at higher prices, then why would TLG lower the price? And how many of us have the will-power to not buy them just to send the company a message?

Gravatar
By in Australia,

sinfanti, I have the willpower. If the price increases for this series, I'll stop collecting them altogether. Including codes for that hopeless game (which looks like it's from the 1990s) is no excuse, since plenty of people who collect the minifigures won't play it anyway.

Gravatar
By in United States,

@Bricklover2013
I have lost the URL to the video but you should feel free to search for it yourself. Funcom may have removed it, though.

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

@ lordofdragonss
Uh.... which one is your "this"? So far most of the characters from the online worlds are pretty close to the generic characters from physical sets. Maybe they'll appear in the next Pirate ship set, but if these appear as new CMFs, I don't think they match up with the quality of previous minifigures.

Gravatar
By in Taiwan,

@ Ben J
Yes, my statement includes him too. It might be a hint, but I'm not sure this design has the CMF series quality or is more like a generic NPC.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

^^ It would be great if Lego provide's some of the houses wich are seen in the background. I'd love to build a medieval city, where Pirate's rule.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

161,000 views in just a couple of days makes this the most read article ever, I believe. I'll check when back from my vacation.

Clearly interest in CMFs is as great as ever...

Gravatar
By in United States,

That pirate is flesh-toned, so if he is the Swashbuckler, he may e changed to yellow.

Gravatar
By in United States,

no he is not he just looks that way

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Lego give us a Starwars / Marvel x men theme set

Gravatar
By in United States,

161000 views wow!! surprising this would break record even though it is a pretty good post

Gravatar
By in United States,

I just checked it and according to the news search the top 3 highest are:

1st. Rumored list of Collectable Minifigure Series 12: 162,383
2nd. Series 10 minifigs revealed by Argos: 63,989
3rd. Dot code for Mr. Gold: 58556

there are many in the 30,000 range aswell. but that's a huge jump from 64k to 162k!!!

Gravatar
By in United States,

That isn't the swashbuckler. He is using the POTC Barbossa torso. CMFs may rehash characters, but they would at least provide new printing.

Plus, those buildings are just variations on the Medieval Market Village set. Anyone with any pieces and those instructions could duplicate those buildings.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Maybe the Battle Goddess will be like the Ancient Roman-god, Mars...

The Pizza Guy sounds great! But hopefully this isn't a Simpsons Series again. I like the current Simpsons Series, but another sounds too much. I want the Original CMFs back...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

The pizza guy looks great! I presume they will be staying at the price of £2.49?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

You guys think that the increase from $3 - 4 US is bad? Think how much higher it will be in Canada, Europe or the UK.

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Canada is 3.99 so no jump, first time I think something in USD is in the same price CAD.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Unfortunately, not earth shattering...

Like a couple others mentioned above, I'll only grab the few I want due to TLG's continual price increases. Is a $1 bump in price going to break me? No. But the price TLG was originally charging ($1.99/set or roughly $0.50/piece) was high enough...now they want roughly $0.75-$1 per piece for a Lego set. Ridiculous? Absolutely yes!
