LEGO has updated all of its product feeds with the June releases so now is a good time to remind you that, on both sides of the Atlantic, you'll receive a free 40108 Balloon Cart polybag with orders over £50/$75/€55 from shop.LEGO.com until 15th June (for NA) and 30th June for everywhere else, but only while stocks last.

As for the Balloon Cart itself, it's a neat, colourful set. It is somewhat oversized though, as you can see from the picture: it's nearer miniland-figure scale than minifig scale: the cart's handle is at the seller's eye level!

That's a good call out on the size of the set, Huw. Maybe I'll have the Mixer minifigure on stilts be the balloon vendor so it won't be so obvious!

How could you make that handle lower while keeping the cabinet? This is a polybag. That kid must not get balloons often: Look at the size of that grin.
Mine ought to arrive today. The cart is oversized, sure, but it's cute for what it is. I'm not sure if the vendor's torso has appeared elsewhere, but it's very nice.
Not sure if I would let my kids get any of these balloons - red and orange gas cylinders with yellow stripes look like they could contain pretty dangerous stuff. :)
^ Good point... red cylinders contain hydrogen and orange is probably butane, it seems. 'Balloon gas' would be in white cylinders, I believe, but then the set wouldn't be half as colourful, would it...
Ordered the Ghostbuster set yesterday to get the polybag, which I think, is one of the better ones to get. (for my collection, that is)
I've got an order in that should include the Balloon Cart, but its been stuck with 'customer service' as the status for over a day now..not usual...I might need to call and find out what is up.
I think the vendor's torso is that of the conductor from the upcoming Train sets.
I'd get it for the clear locker, which I need.
Since someone else mentioned it in another thread, all I see now when I look at those balloons are Blow-Pops.
I got two sets. One when I bought the ghostbusters set online, and one when I went to the store. I plan to use the vendor torso for a custom wild west figure.

@twenty6twelve Someone mentioned in the comments of one of the other news articles about this set (or maybe it was in the forum?), the seller's torso is from 3 Monster Fighters sets (and according to http://brickset.com/sets/containing-part-6022406, was also in Horizon Express).
I agree with you; it's a very nice torso, and IMO, much better than the repeat of the kid's torso that they already used in the Fairground Mixer, that they seem to be suggesting this polybag is a companion for.
Received mine today.. However i think i will not open it :p

@Sonic_Raptor, I called today, since my order is still the same, and it was worth it, they told me that there is a huge stack of orders coming in, and its slowed them down a lot. All the new sets coming available, the new catalog is out and people want the Balloon Cart, they said that specifically..LOL
I would call and ask, they upgraded me to Express Shipping for free for my trouble. :-)

Yeah, I am stuck with customer service, too! It's the second time that happens. I am very disappointed with lego shop @home. Waiting for my sets and the free ballooncart...

I really only wanted Ecto-1, but that wasn't enough to get the freebie, so I had to buy a few other things just for this. I haven't opened it, nor will I. Polybags just go in a box. But it does look neat, although I could build this with pieces I have (outside of a few color switches).
I'm not sure how people can complain about scale with LEGO. Everything is out of scale with LEGO. Yes, this cart is way oversized, but it fits right in with how LEGO normally is.
i moved the handle to just under the box had to add a 1x1 and a 1x2 brick to make it work . now the handle is at waist height and make more sense
